So i was attempting to flash my trophy with a stock rom to correct some software issues i was having
When i did, it stopped at 12% and gave an error 266 Flash Error
I have created a Gold Card to try to unbrand the phone and reflash it but i cannot get the phone to reset into usb host mode
It will flash htc and then go straight to the tricolor menu almost instantly.
Any help would be appreciated!
*RESOLVED*
I installed this updated
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042196
worked fine, guess it was just a matter of finding the correct update for the phone, thought the other verizon ones were the correct but i guess they were not

Hi, I have a TMobile MDA with IPL 2.26 and SPL 2.26 and I was trying to put a new rom but the program gave me an update error when reached 99% an now it is stuck in the boot screen (shows in the bottom USB connection) but when re-running the program it does not connect and activesync does not detect the phone. Before the rom update program ruu gave me the that said the phone required a newer program version.
Did I screwed the phone or there is a solution?
Thank you in advance for your help and best regards
Issue Was solved downloading from T-MOBILE the updated ROM and executing the program

Nope, you're good.
As long as you can enter bootloader and it reads usb in the bottom corner, your wizard can be saved. Don't worry about active sync, it won't read. Get a stock rom from your provider...if Tmo, it is available on their website. Plug in the usb and get into the tri-color boot. Run the stock ruu. Do not let anything interfere with the process, so disable your screensaver, don't let cats or kids near the usb cord, etc (trust me on that one!). NBow flash the stock rom. It will take 10 minutes roughly, be patient, DO NOT unplug usb for any reason...let it flash and reboot. Once flashed, make sure you are cid/sim unlocked...use lokiwiz (read the sticky on unlocking). You cannot change roms from stock to custom without first unlocking. If you are already unlocked, once you have the stock rom re-installed, you can flash to a custom rom. The linky in my siggy explains in detail about reviving a "bricked" wizard.
I flashed some rom on here a while back. The wife has the wiz and I have the herald. Anyhow, she was having problems so I figured I'd flash the stock 2.26 tmo rom back on her mda. I ran through the update utility and it crashed at about 7x %. Now it is stuck in a bootloader reboot loop...Anyone have any suggestions?? I need to get her phone working again so any help is appreciated. By the way, its a G3 device.
Thanks
Kevin
Just reflash the t-mobile stock ROM again, as simple as that. Most of the time when you have a failed flash you get the bootloader every time you boot. Make sure you don't connect the sync cable until after you're in the bootloader and when you do connect it it says USB at the bottom and you should be good to flash from there.
Ok,
So I installed the T-mobile UK radio rom on my unlocked cingular HTC 8125 with a t-mobile sim. Upon reboot I get no phone service, it acts as though the phone is shut off but it's not. On bootup when it displays the IPL/SPL and OS and all that there was a line between the IPL / SPL lines and the OS line which used to have something on it, but now it's blank. Here's the worst part, it no longer recognizes on USB or under activesync, I tried to get it to work with bluetooth using a usb bluetooth adapter, but to no avail.
I need to know if there is anyway to get it working again, anyway at all to get it to connect or something so I can install a new radio rom on it.
Please help.
Help me too
I am in exactly the same predicament. I have spent days searching for a solution. Nthing so far. Anyone?

Well, only flashing a Radio Rom,never bricks a phone, cuz it doesn't include any IPL/SPL in it Its just a bad flash.Either,Try a Soft Reset or Hard Reset,if works fine, otherwise, get the phone in bootloaders (multicolor screen) and flash the cingular official Rom,it'll recover back. The phone doesn't get detected via usb or doesn't activesync if there's no working Rom (OS) on it,but if you are able to get to bootloaders and connect the phone via usb cable, a small usb appears at the bottom of the bootloaders screen,it means it has established connectivity and you can flash a rom.
Secondly if the ohine is not SIM unlocked,it won't work with a T-mobile SIM,you'll have to get it sim unlocked if you plan to use a different sim and network.

Be a little more specific about the problem and remember to always post the version of the phone OR vital data of the phone to ask for an advise.
Cheers!
been done
yeah,
I've been able to get it into bootloaders, the usb pops up in the corner but when I try to flash a rom it it gives me a no phone connected type of error. which is really messed up because the first time I put it into bootloaders it worked, but I didn't use the official rom so the flashing didn't fix it.
If flashing the radio rom isn't supposed to brick it then well somehow mine is apparently the exception to the rule. Still gonna be working on it throughout today though, so any other suggestions?
ok, i got a att 8525 with herm100 ipl-1.03 & spl-1.11, currently its not booting up because of a failed attempt at installing crc r13.3, i can get it to the tri-color screen, but i can't get it to connect to activesync, it is getting recognized by the other ruu rom flashers but after it goes to 1%, the phone reboots, and i can't get past that even with tryin to flash a factory rom.
there anyway to unbrick my phone?! i've tried a couple of the ways i've found from searching but none seem to work, my pc is running vista but i also have xp on vmware if needed.
well i finally got the factory rom flashed, and now its working again!, i don't know how it happened, it just......happened.
Hello fellow HD2 users,
I've got an HD2 T-Mobile UK. I've just tried my luck with HSPL, I've succeessfully installed HSPL using the steps in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
However, when I copied the LEOIMG.nbh (1.48 offiicial rom) file to the micro SD 8GB card; and rebooted, things seemed ok untill it suddenly stopped the progress of flashing the ROM and gave me a Grey screen with the Error 00028002 "not Allow" sort of thing.
So I tried yanking battery out, rebooting normally, it displays a grey triangle with " ! " in the middle and then displays the 00028002 error then back to Tri colour bootloader, I noticed that the HSPL is gone and its back now to 1.42.0000
I even tried a Factory reset, it does the reset I reboot, but it still shows me grey triangle and same routine. I've tried everything now. This bloody T-mobile phone is just useless to me at the moment !
Can you please HELP !!! Thank you so much !
Regards !!
Ok found solution, I just had to install the official T-mobile 1.43.110.0 ROM from this link:
http://rapidshare.com/users/258XUJ
After just switching on the phone with microsd inside, I just plugged the usb and started the RUU and followed the steps and things are back to square one now.
not thrilled that it has been a nightmare so far to get a new rom on.
but at least I can use my phone with its basic functionalities. not gona push my luck again...
You cannot flash official ROMS from the sd because it replaces the SPL with a stock one. Presume it got half way through then decided the ROM was not for your device since it hasd replaced the SPL. Cooked ROMS are ok to flash from SD but for Stock use the RUU.
tell me it's working please.my HD2 from UK T-Mob is same "bricked" and in Slovakia is very very difficult to find somebody who can fix this....i think maybe only the HTC repair center
^
If your phone can load up into the boot loader (tri-color screen) your phone is not bricked.
Deeper Trouble:Same error, but cannot use USB!!!
Guys,
im in even much deeper **** now.I accidentally tried flashing a stock ROM via SD card and now ive gt the same ROM code error. What makes this worse is that my Vista computer is not recognizing any USB connection when i connect my HD2 to the computer. If i need to flash a stock rom via RUU wrapper to get through this stupid ROM code error, i need a USB connection at the first place...which IS NOT WORKING NOW!!!...im sitting duck here guys...i really really need your help on this one.im extremely frustrated and helpless.thanks alot...
When u say USB not working, how do you know?
Put phone in bootloader, connect USB cable,,, on phone does "serial" become "USB"? If yes then just run the flash.
