HI all,
i managed to get my HD2 work with Android.... first from SD and then i flashed it
well, after a while i wanted to try other ROM and now i'm totally stuck !
If i power up normally, i get cLK and every installer says same error ''USB INIT failed". Powering up with Vol - pressed, get's me to SPL and same error ???
What should i do ? How to get past this "brickwall" ..... or is it just a n00btrap
You seem to be not having HSPL installed, install HSPL 2.08.

HI!
Well i have installed MAGLDR 1.12 before and had NAND. BUt now i want to try out CWM, and need 1.13.
But how do i update to 1.13? i tried to just run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe, but it cant find my phone. so i cant install it.
please help me asap!
the same way you installed 1.12 the process is the same

im a genius so i solved it myself!
just hold VolDown + onbutton - to go to bootloader.
then connect the usb, and flash the MAGLDR
no you just did what you did intially to put magldr on, as per what i said
i think 1.13 batter.
if you cant do the update through bootloader or anything the you have only one option left reflah a stoch rom and then do it

Why would you even bother to give such a HELPFUL post? Obviously if he remembered how to flash MAGLDR he would of done it. It's not hard to just say to boot to HSPL and do it...

Let me guess 3.03? If so just install HSPL2.08 (and not something else) again from that HSPL4 tool by pressing volume down button again during boot.
After that install magdlr.
also this is in the wrong section, this needs to be in the Q&A not the dev section

Can you exactly tell us what is on the screen.
Please do it word by word what it says so we don't have to guess.

I recently bought a HTC HD2 from a friend and I wanted to get rid of Winmo and install Android on this phone.
I started by flashing HARDSPL 2.08 on my phone using HSPL4 and it worked because when I go into the bootloader (The tri-color screen ?) I can see "SPL-2.08.HSPL" and "CotullaHSPL".
Then I performed a Task29 using the HTC HD2 Toolkit, I reboot my phone to the tri-color screen and then I tried to install MAGLDR.
And here is the problem, I cannot enter into MAGLDR ! On every video I have seen, people just power on their phone and after the HTC screen they get the MAGLDR menu, my phone just get stuck on the HTC Screen !
I don't know understand the problem, maybe I missed a step (I'm a noob ...), so if you can help, I'd be very thankful !

task29 erased the phone memory.
You should re-install HSPL 2.08, the correct Radio ROM, and then MAGLDR.

i've succesfully installed
-hspl
-Radio Leo 2.15.50.14
-task29
-then MAGLDR111
then i was going to install an android nand version i found on the internet but my HTC got stuck on the green HTC logo screen.
i never get the bootloder menu. this is my problem.
Yes, I have leoimg.nbh in the root of my SD
After i put it there, i got an menu after reboot saying
'radio_v2
rcust
bootloader
splash1..'
press power to update...
but since this leoimg.nbh is my original windows image, it updates back to wm6.5
So anyone can help me how to pass this green screen please ?

First of all, not any HSPL will work. You need HSPL 2.08 for MAGLDR.
Second thing is, I suggest you use MAGLDR 1.13 (I still don't understand why people use the old, when there is a new)
Don't do Task29, it is useless. And now since you've installed winmo through sd card, you need to re-install HSPL (2.08), after that install MAGLDR (1.13).

so, let's start from the very beginning: HD2 comes with Windows Mobile 6.5, but there are several procedures and guides to flash different operative sistems like android... to help you, i need to know if your device is still running Windows Mobile or if you ever flashed a different os after installing HSPL, a bootloader and a custom recovery; if you don't understand what I'm talking about, i suggest you to read a guide like this one

When i put the phone in boot mode (4 colours screen) it says 2.08 HSPL. Does this mean that there is HSPL installed?
I have also read another thread and it says you need to update the radio. Should i do that?
ok, if it says HSPL 2.08 by Cotulla it'r rooted, so you can try to perform a Task29 and to install again bootloader, recovery and rom, it should work!
which radio have you installed? if you have 2.15.50.14 and you have EUR HD2, it's fine as it's the best radio to install custom roms: it should see the biggest amount of ram available...

HD2 FAILED BOOT And FLASH ATTEMPTS
hey good day
im quite familiar with flashing roms and all that jazz
the last rom i had on my hd2 was a wp7.8 rom
one day i woke up it was stuck on magldr title screen
the menu didnt and couldnt come up
so i bit my tongue and returned to stock in efforts to reflash from scrach ...
now it stuck at the HTC logo , nothing i do gets it to work again
it boots to the bootloader mode it will accept flashing of anykind but it wont boot pass HTC , i even tried to manuall remove the HSPL and task 29 a million times , to no avail
help !!!
PS . it wont load a rom via SD

I have a similar problem. I had android installed on SD, with multi-boot WM6.5. One day, the device went blank. I tried many ways and the farthest I got to was to have the original stock rom reloaded from SD (leoimg) and it stuck half way with no touch screen response to the input tests. I tried hard reset and install another rom and it went completely blank again. I could boot into tricolor but it displayed errors during the course of flashing any rom. I have HPSL 2.08 installed but not mgldr. Recovery was installed on SD.
In short, I am stuck at tricolor and unable to go any further. Cannot even install mgldr now.
Help please!

Please help me... I would like to instal on it Windows or Android.
