hi im new to all this and i dont have a clue what you mean please can you explain
ok, don't worry, I'm here to try to help
so, let's start from the very beginning: HD2 comes with Windows Mobile 6.5, but there are several procedures and guides to flash different operative sistems like android... to help you, i need to know if your device is still running Windows Mobile or if you ever flashed a different os after installing HSPL, a bootloader and a custom recovery; if you don't understand what I'm talking about, i suggest you to read a guide like this one

When i put the phone in boot mode (4 colours screen) it says 2.08 HSPL. Does this mean that there is HSPL installed?
I have also read another thread and it says you need to update the radio. Should i do that?
ok, if it says HSPL 2.08 by Cotulla it'r rooted, so you can try to perform a Task29 and to install again bootloader, recovery and rom, it should work!
which radio have you installed? if you have 2.15.50.14 and you have EUR HD2, it's fine as it's the best radio to install custom roms: it should see the biggest amount of ram available...
tell me if it helped, otherwhise I'm here

hey good day
im quite familiar with flashing roms and all that jazz
the last rom i had on my hd2 was a wp7.8 rom
one day i woke up it was stuck on magldr title screen
the menu didnt and couldnt come up
so i bit my tongue and returned to stock in efforts to reflash from scrach ...
now it stuck at the HTC logo , nothing i do gets it to work again
it boots to the bootloader mode it will accept flashing of anykind but it wont boot pass HTC , i even tried to manuall remove the HSPL and task 29 a million times , to no avail
help !!!
PS . it wont load a rom via SD
hi
I have a similar problem. I had android installed on SD, with multi-boot WM6.5. One day, the device went blank. I tried many ways and the farthest I got to was to have the original stock rom reloaded from SD (leoimg) and it stuck half way with no touch screen response to the input tests. I tried hard reset and install another rom and it went completely blank again. I could boot into tricolor but it displayed errors during the course of flashing any rom. I have HPSL 2.08 installed but not mgldr. Recovery was installed on SD.
In short, I am stuck at tricolor and unable to go any further. Cannot even install mgldr now.
Help please!

HI,
I used the HSPL2_1024, selected the 2.0.0.8
After 10 min, of using Energy.Leo.23549.Sense2.5_TMobile_USA.Mar.26
I got an error, I recovered, but wondering what happened??
Just try it again. Make sure your drivers are all complete from Windows Vista or 7. Make sure you are running 6.1 Windows Mobile Device Center.
I am sure you have done this but make sure:
Plug in your phone make sure the drivers are good with Active Sync on.
When you get into HSPL2_1024 and let it run your device will be found again in USB mode. Just to make sure the drivers are loaded correctly.
Flash - reboot and then flash the Energy or whatever USTMO compatible cooked ROM you like. I think there are only 2/3 that work with the ROM 2.08
Sometimes it just takes retracing your steps to get it to work right.
good luck.
I didn't want to make a new thread for this and clutter up the board, I'm kind of a noob to XDA you see. I just bought a Tmobile HD2 and downloaded and applied the HSPL linked in this thread, it all worked fine. My problem is: Will installing the 2.09.51.03 radio on my tmous HD2 hurt it? Was the 2.09 radio meant for the htc hd2 which has a different radio?
My main goal is to get Artemis rom on it.
Thanks for your time.

The .51 radios are meant for the European spec and will not work on a TMOUS based rom AFAIK.

try different usb ports and remember to right click 1024 and 'run as administrator'
After using the HardSPL I could not get my phone to sync either... So Just put your phone into bootloader mode. Turn off phone, power button, volume down hold till tri color screen comes up. Then just run the RUU an it will flash your phone. Only NRGZ rom works.

Would anyone happen to have a mirror to this link, or could some kind soul possibly upload it? This one seems to be broken. It would be greatly appreciated.
Update...I found it.
yeah notinh still not working ive tryed all ports, im running windows 7 64bit.
I'm recieving the same error. Windows 7 x64, MDC is latest 6.1. Tried from both laptop (Win7 x64) and desktop (Win7 x64). Phone goes into Tri color screen, says "USB" at the bottom. Windows notes new driver, updates, then HSPL2 for 1024 Leo gives "Critical Error" and bombs out. Bummer
UPDATE: Fixed it. Did a hard reset on the phone, tried again, and now HSPL flashed successfully. Now, on to the cooked ROMs
Worked for me on win 7 x64... No issue with HSPL2_1024_RUN file I got by browsing this site... It did freeze on me during RUU, but I just rebooted and ran it as admin whilst not touching any other program in windows until it was done and it worked.

I believe you are to choose 2.08 to install HSPL
And you choose 2.08.0000 when you want to uninstall HSPL, for warranty and such.

and it worked i did it ,
but for a reason i wanted to turn back to wm 6.5 so i opened task29 tool
then HSPL2 ,
after that i couldn't do anything
i opened the ROMUpdateUtility but the loading stop on 0%
i tried to open any tool and all of them stop on 0%
so what can i do ?
my phone is stuck in a sort of logo screen :S
this the the logo that im stuck with
and i hope this pic can help
<< click on it to get a the picture in the original size
have you pulled the battery? If you haven't, do that to reboot the phone. While the phone is booting during the white t-mobile screen, hold vol down until you get to the color bar screen, then plug in your USB and run the WM6.5 stock ROM off the T-mobile website (www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade)
I think your problem is that you should have installed HSPL 2.08 instead of SPL 2.08. In my opinion custom ROMs won't work with SPL.
Please use HSPL3 or HSPL4 Software to modify.

Hi folks,
I tried to flash my HTC HD2 for the first time. Read /watched different guides. In first 2 steps they were all the same:
- install HSPL
- instal MAGLDR
Done both, got positive responses on both.
BUT: after rebooting after installing MAGLDR I do not manage to get the bootloader screen. There´s just a white screen with green htc logo on it and nothing else happens.
Yes, I held the power button after reboot; about 1 min long. Nothing.
If I hold volume down button after reboot the stripey screen appears like after the HSPL installation. But there is also no menu.
Also tried to proceeed task29 with the HD2 Android NAND Toolkit. Got positive response there too and after this I begann from scratch. With the same results.
Does anyone have a clue what I made wrong or forgot?
Or a hint what to do now?
best regards
M.
What version hspl n magldr?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
and radio,
hspl MUST be 2.08.hspl ONLY
radio MUST be 2.xx.50.xx
Got hspl version 2.08.hspl from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
got MAGLDR version 1.13 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618
cant remember the full radio version but I checked it before starting and it fits to requirements.
But I´m a few steps forward...
Meanwhile I flashed the newest Original HTC HD Win Mobile 6.5 ROM so phone boots up again
After that I installed HSPL version 2.08.0000 (now I know that was a failure) an tried again to install MAGLDR. But the progress bar doesn´t move - neither on PC nor on phone...
So I first will try to install again HSPL like samsamuel said and try again with MAGLDR
[EDIT]
Radio Version is now 2.15.50.14
SOLVED
Don´t know why but after dooing all step again (after falshing new HTC ROM) all ist ok and android is booting...
I think something was not in expected version on my old ROM on the phone. Never made an update before. So I recommend to do this before starting with all other

the only regular hd2 stock rom that includes a magldr compatible radio is 3.14, so if the ''old rom'' you flashed was any other version, it will have also flashed a non magldr radio, which is why it happened. (I suspect).
Sorted now,
the same problem
Hi,
I have the same problem.
Just white screen with green HTC mark.
But I'm not shure how to flesh win mobile again, because I cannot connect my HTC HD2 via USB (PC doesn't recognise the phone).
tnx
Hey MiMo,
Could you please post links and steps to help myself and anyone else looking on how to fix this?
by links I mean can I have the stock rom you used and the radios and such
Thank you.
Hey guys, just bought a T-Mobile US HD2 online, it is running WinMo 6.5 stock, how do I install WP7? After consulting countless guides, I've concluded that none of them helped. Do I need to root the HD2? What steps do I need to take to install a WP7 ROM? Which ROM is the best performing? Please get back to me asap

hi,
Steps of installation
1) Install HSPL2(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433)
2) Install Radio(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787)i use 2.15.50.14
3) Install MagLDR (Ver 1.13)(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618)this will erase wm6.5
4) after magldr install you will have magldr options(using vol up and down), go down to usb flasher(call button to select) and flash the rom
4) Install WP7 ROM
install tutorial https://rapidshare.com/files/3354188424/ROM_install_Tutorial_v1.4.pdf
Stuck on second splash screen after flashing WP7!
I have run WP7 even before on my HD2 without any issue except for it's unbeatable appetite for battery. Recently I flashed ICS but ran into some camera and 3G network issues, so now I am trying install Pdaimatejam's ROM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833.
I followed the following steps.
1. Installed WinMo6.5
2. Installed MAGLDR 1.13
3. Ran 10. Service on MAGLDR and did UseLast24NAND, and then cleared the SD MDR
4. Flashed the WP7 ROM on USB Flasher mode
It says installation successful and reboots the phone automatically...after the first splash screen it goes into say booting WP from NAND and that GO GO GO thingy and then the second splash screen pops - HTC in white on a black backgroun - and stays there. Won't load the WP7. I have flashed several times, I have even flashed without the SD card plugged in. But the same results. On one occasion I did Task29 too but the results were the same.
Any ideas for me?
did you have HSPL 2.08 installed?

yes i had HSPL 2.08 installed...have had it since Jan last year (I guess). But since you asked, I reinstalled HSPL 2.08 about an hour ago, did a Task29, installed MAGLDR 1.13....in short I repeated the entire drill on the tutorial again but still no luck...stuck on the second splash screen.
Help me out, this is my primary and also the only phone.
Is there any SD version of WP7?
My volume key membrane is broken and replacing this will require entire flex to be replaced which will cost more than US$50.
Sorry if my question sound silly but don't have much idea about WP7

no... it's impossible... Wp7 must be flash on NAND and use sdcard as memory... this concept is on all WP7 devices
I see, well thanks for your comeback. I guess I will have to spend another US$ 40 on this phone :-'(

Hi, i ve read almost all topics here about the subject. this is what i've done so far:
i've succesfully installed
-hspl
-Radio Leo 2.15.50.14
-task29
-then MAGLDR111
then i was going to install an android nand version i found on the internet but my HTC got stuck on the green HTC logo screen.
i never get the bootloder menu. this is my problem.
Yes, I have leoimg.nbh in the root of my SD
After i put it there, i got an menu after reboot saying
'radio_v2
rcust
bootloader
splash1..'
press power to update...
but since this leoimg.nbh is my original windows image, it updates back to wm6.5
So anyone can help me how to pass this green screen please ?

He says that to everyone, anyway.
First of all, not any HSPL will work. You need HSPL 2.08 for MAGLDR.
Second thing is, I suggest you use MAGLDR 1.13 (I still don't understand why people use the old, when there is a new)
Don't do Task29, it is useless. And now since you've installed winmo through sd card, you need to re-install HSPL (2.08), after that install MAGLDR (1.13).
