am trying to install madglr 1.13 so i can install android to my nand but it gives me a recovery option after a long wait, ive already installed radio 2.15 and hspl4 succesfully whats d problem?
Mmm, which HSPL did you install?
Let me guess 3.03? If so just install HSPL2.08 (and not something else) again from that HSPL4 tool by pressing volume down button again during boot.
After that install magdlr.
also this is in the wrong section, this needs to be in the Q&A not the dev section

Can you exactly tell us what is on the screen.
Please do it word by word what it says so we don't have to guess.

I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620
about how to install android 2.2 on HD2, but I can not get MAGLDR 1.13 installed first. I downloaded the package and ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe, it says updating ROM verion 3.14.831.3 to 2.00.000.0, I proceed with next, then the phone went to 4-colour screen mode, shows SPL version is 3.03. Later on, it goes to black screen with only HTC logo the 0% progress bar on. Few minutes later, the installation on my computer said error[262], update error.
I wasn't sure if I need to downgrade the SPL to 2.08, as people said in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829954 it does not matter.
My HD2 has the lastest rom listed on HTC - HongKong English support site.
Please advise what I need to do to get MAGLDR installed?
Thank you.
That thread is from before MAGLDR even existed. You need 2.08.HSPL to flash MAGLDR.
You can get all the info you need here .

Thanks for your reply.
I just got the HSPL4 and installed the 2.08.000, not 2.08 SPL on my HD2.
But when I tried to install the MAGLDR 1.13 again, it did the same thing again, it goes to black screen with only HTC logo the 0% progress bar on. Few minutes later, the installation on my computer said error[262], update error.
Any idea?
It seems I need to install 2.08 SPL, not 2.08.000 in HSPL4.
It works fine now.
u need 2.08HSPL and a 576mb ram radio..
Ok i have t-mobile UK with the correct Radio and i installed HSPL4 and it said that we have hacked it, so i assume thats working, when i run romupdate from magldr it is trying to change it from 3 something down to 2 something. i get the grey box saying updating it never gets passed 0%. SPL is 3.03.000 which i selected the correct bit when installing HSPL4

Android requires 2.08 HSPL on the HD2...so in HSPL4 choose the 2.08 HSPL
I have no sim card in the phone right now, but that surely shouldnt be an issue? when i start up the phone it says i am running
r 2.15.50.14
g 15.42.50.11u
d 3.14.04666
So are u saying i was not meant to install hspl4?
Someone please confirm but do i now have to get rid of HSPL4 downgrade my rom thus downgrading the spl then install appriopriate HSPL for that rom? if so what rom should i downgrade to?

It depends on what SPL/HSPL was on your HD2. If it was already HSPL 2.08, then it was OK for Magldr/Android.
Check the red lines in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5279236&postcount=4
So you have to run HSPL4 again, choose HSPL2.08, and then you can flash magldr...
I havnt changed that it came with 3.03.000
my spl is 3.03.000 so surely i cant choose that hspl?
Ok i am abit confused, but i have already installed hspl4, can i install it again and choose a different spl?
what i am asking is i have put hspl4 and choosen 3.03.000 can i now do the same process again and choose 2.8 or do i need to delete the hspl4 first?

That's a good question. Check this/ask this in the HSPL thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5279236#post5279236
Ok i ran it again and it worked, now when trying to install MAGLDR i get error 260.
Sorted it. So even if you have HSPL installed and a higher SPL you can run HSPL again without installing as long as its the same version and change it to a lower HSPL like 2.8
Hi guys. Thanks everyone for the wonderful work you all do.
Today I wanted to try for the first time to flash some NAND stuff.
I installed cLK, then I thought it would have been better MAGLDR so i tried to install it just after cLK.
After the installation, the phone just does not show the MAGLDR boot screen. It stucks at the HTC green logo (of course i keep the power button pressed). The previous working WM rom does not boot.
The only solution i found, is to flash again a wimo rom through ruu_update, from the bootloader (i have hspl4), then I can begin again but MAGLDR will anyway not install properly.
Do you have any suggestion? Thanks.
Sounds like yet another case of not having both spl 2.08.hspl AND an android compatible radio. (2.15.50 for example)
as comes up daily, magldr WILL NOT START without both those criteria filled. It will simply hang on the bootscreen.
thanks for the info.
I had Spl 3.03, I understood that MAGLDR would require 2.08 or above. Radio, is exactely the 2.15.50. What should i do now?
wrong, magldr requires 2.08.hspl ONLY. no other will work.
from magldr thread, post 1 line 4......
You need HardSPL 2.08 before installation!

Hello
I have a HTC HD2
I wanted to install android onto it.
And so installed HSPL 3.0.300000 from the package HSPL 4.0
After that the phone booted.
I powered it off and installed magldr 1.13
(I know MAgldr only works o HSPL 2.08 but i came to know that afterwards)
Now, I can't even get to the bootloader splash screen.
Pushing power button and volume down does not do anything.
Please help
Thanks.
Try hit reset button and hold the volume down.
and follow how to downgrade HSPL , in section "A1:Install HSPL3" of this GUIDE.
hope it's help.

Hi, I attempted to install Android on my GFs HD2. It was running Windows 6.5.
HSPL 2.08 was already installed and I installed MAGLDR 1.13. In MAGLDR I was able to select menu items but pressing the call-button didn't do anything. How do I unstuck myself? Help greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: I tried to flash the RUU_signed.nbh via SD from RUU_Leo_S_HTC_GER_3.14.407.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship but it failed, I guess. Now it won't boot (says Software Update failed, please try again). SPL 3.03.0000 is now installed. Slowly getting nervous over here. What's my way out of this mess now?
You should be ok to install hspl 2.08.
If you haven't already got it, get the HD2 nand toolkit (kusbedi) it makes things a lot easier. Then have a good read here.
OK, thanks, didn't know you could install HSPL from the bootloader too.
HSPL 2.08 is now installed. Still the same problem with MAGLDR not reacting to the call button, though. I guess I'll try CLK then.
You can just as easy install magldr again if you wish using the toolkit...
Hmm, I now formatted the memory with Task 29 and reinstalled MAGLDR, still no reaction to call-button presses.
I've got two hd2 s, and on both magldr never accepts the first press of send, I have to click it again slightly (only slightly,) firmer and fractionally longer. If I try the slightly longer firmer press first, it still doesn't accept it till the second press.
My point being to make sure its really a problem before you start re flashing.
If you assure yourself its really not accepting, try reflashing 2.08.hspl again but using hspl3, (there are occasional issues with Hspl4, not usually connected to magldr, but everything's worth trying) and then reflash magldr. The nand toolkit as advised is a good way to go.
Winmo roms, radios, hspl, task29... all can be flashed from bootloader, and indeed its a better way to flash.
grmpf... HSPL 2.08 from HSPL 3 was no help.
Now with cLK in Clockwork Mod, left button doesn't work either!! Points to a mechnical problem, but GF (owner) says no. Will keep trying.

Try installing a touch recovery? That will help you solve your problem. Also download a app like Quick Boot so you can boot straight into recovery from the Android OS.

Thanks guys.
I successfully installed TWRP, the touch recovery built, and flashed NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.1 from there.
GF is going to be very happy!
Cheers
