need help with rom-install - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Needless to say: I'm a noob. Well, I've installed a rom via the newb-tread with magldr about a year ago. Now I'm trying to install a new rom. But, I've updatet magldr from 1.11 to 1.13, and entered the usb flasher mode in the magldr boot menu. The next step was to open the run daf.exe-file or install.exe. But I couldn't fint such a file in any of the two roms I've downloaded. There are some folders with a bunch of different files in them when I unpack the rom I've downloaded.
The rom I want is: [03.SEP.11][MAG/cLK] TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.6.3 [2.3.5][A2SD][tytung r12b1]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
Would be happy if you sent me a message in pm to help me. Sorry for bad english

new roms are not flashed by daf.you just put rom.zip to sd,then make cwm partition (for this rom 5-150-5)
download this:http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...ry v3.0.2.5)&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13157832492871
unrar,in mgldr choose usb flasher, see usb flasher....usb,then right click on daf, after installation is complete phone will reboot and turn to mgldr menu (giving an error),then in mgldr go to ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find your rom.zip, after installation is complet reboot.

Help - Nand Question

I am lost. I had flashed my HD2 with an Android Nand several months ago. I am wanting to upgrade and have forgotten how. I have read all of the guides and everything says I need to run daf but none of the downloads have that. Any advice? My phone is crappy windows at the moment.
I have downloaded many roms and none have daf.exe anymore OR ANY exe.
What am I missing?
1: Flash a 2.07.50.xx or higher radio (I suggest 3.15.50.14)
2: Flash MAGLDR 1.13 link is in my sig
3: Flash the correct size CWM for your ROM, check ROM thread for sugested recovery partition size. Use option #5 USB Flasher in MAGLDR to flash it (CWM link in my sig)
4: Download your ROM and put the zip file you download on the root of your SD card
5: Go to option #8 AD Recovery in MAGLDR to boot into CWM
6: Select install zip from sdcard then find your ROM on your SD card and install it
7: when ROM is finished installing press back button to get to main menu of CWM and select reboot
8: Let your ROM boot up and then reboot to get everything set good
9: enjoy
Click on my guide in my sig as it will help you out.
You rock! Thanks!

[Q] Can't install MAGLDR113 on my HTC HD2

Hi guys, Im a noob.
When i tried to install the ROMUpdateUtillity, it was smooth on the front part, but when it start installing, it always 0%, and after that, it pop up a error dialog... I followed every instruction in the ROMUpdateUtility. please help me.
I'm using Window 7
Window Mobile Centre 6.1
Thanks.
Go to Xda Hd2 Nand Development and at the top on the thread there will be a toolkit thread. You can search it in Google too. Toolkit is called HD2 Nand Toolkit by Ksubedi. Download the tool. And flash HSPL 2.08. Then flash Task29. Then flash MagLdr through that tool. You can set the size of the partition of MagLdr in center left.
Hit thnkx if this helped.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
i guess u didnt change ur hspl ...change it first to 2.08 befor installing magldr
Thank guys, thank you so much
Omg guys, my HD2 can't load into the MAGLDR113 menu, it stuck at the HTC logo start up screen. it can't load into the phone too...
stucking at the htc screen means that theres a clean nand
did you task29? if yes, try to install magldr again..
follow these steps:
install hspl 4 (2.08 HSPL)
install radio 2.15.50.14 rom
Task29 (clean nand)
install magldr
install cwm
goto cwm (AD Recovery @ magldr menu)
flash rom (install zip from sd card - choose zip from sd card)
have fun
if you need to go manually into magldr menu, keep pressing phone end button while booting.
if this is just too much, just try to use a toolkit (like the nand toolkit or mine (click on banner in my signature )
hope it´ll help a bit.
I still can't figure out how to boot into the MGLDR113 menu, i tried reinstall it and try press the end call button many times when booting up. its not working... omg...
Thanks

Mostly it will say so in the ROM Thread, or a Readme file in the file you downloaded.

in coredroid roms the necessary CWR partition comes within the downloaded rar. when you unpack it you'll see an exe file 'daf'.in your phone go to mgldr menu, with volume buttons come to 'usb flasher' you must see 'usb flasher....usb',right click on daf, choose run as administrator. now follow your screen to finish it. then in mgldr AD recovery-install zip from sdcard-choose zip from sdcard then in your sd find your coredroid........zip, choose it, after it finishes reboot and wait....

misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 10M
system ya 390M
cache ya 5M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
in the first page of nand development there is hd2 nand toolkit by ksubedi. i use it. it has many tools. better download it. on left there is mgldr repartition choose 300 MB and at cache part write 5, then connect your phone to pc choose usb flasher....
or use this attached folder.
Its still not working. Still having the same problem.
This are the steps i have done.

-install radio 2.15.50.14 rom
-Task29 (clean nand)
-install magldr113
-Go to USB FLASHER
-Repartition using Toolkit (300MB, 5mb Cache)

Did i miss out anything to be done?
Please help me out.
Thank you.

Help On NAND Rom!

I downloaded a gingerbread rom, and now I would like to know how do I boot the rom? Like when I open up the rom folder there is no DAF or any .exe inside.
I'm not understanding how the rom is loaded from the daf.exe in magldr.
you have given so little information. do you have mgldr,is your hd2 eu or tmous, which rom do you want to flash, have you made cwr partition,do you have sd-ext partition etc...
Its tmobile hd2, & ive never did a partition. & the rom is NexusHD2-Gingerbread and i had magldr but since I couldnt figure out how to flash so I went back to wm
The NexusHD2 Gingerbread thread has a complete tutorial in it...it's not that hard.
I guess... do I have to partition my sd? I just dont get where im suppose to put the rom files before starting daf.exe
It's pretty easy man. You don't have to partition your SD card since you have a TMOUS HD2. If possible, I would recommend you format the SD card before you copy over the NexusHD zip file to it just to avoid any hiccups along the way. DON'T extract the zip. Leave it intact and copy it to the card. You can put your stuff back on the card once you're up and running. Ok, here are the instructions on how to flash NexusHD2:
Download the file MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M.zip (5.0 MB) This is to partition the NAND on the PHONE and extract it to your computer.
Enter MAGLDR 1.13 by holding power key while booting the phone, and then select "USB Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is the green "Call" button.
I think you may need either Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center just so it installs the correct drivers for the phone. You don't actually use it. It just installs the drivers for the phone. When you select USB Flasher on the phone you should see Wait USB...USB At the computer, run DAF.exe to flash ClockworkMod Recovery 3.2.0.0. You should see some text scroll by on the phone. Then it will reboot. Hold down the power button again to get back into Magldr. Go down to AD Recovery and select it with the call button. Your phone will now boot into Recovery mode. Go down to 'install zip from sdcard' and select it with the call button again. Then go to 'choose zip from sdcard'. Select it. Then select the NexusHD2 zip file you copied earlier. Let it do it's thing. It will tell you when it's complete. Use the arrow key to back up to the Recovery menu that says 'reboot system now' and select it. Let it reboot and enjoy.
If this works, I love you. & Im guessing since i flashed back to wm, I will have to install magldr and cwr again
Yep, you will have to flash Magldr and CWM again if you put WM back on it.
Thank you everybody for helping me out.

Are you using CLK or Magldr (CWM)?
What exact procedure did you follow to flash the new Rom (and what Rom is it)?
Have you tried flashing other Roms?
Mark.

Thanks for your reply Mark. The rom in question is "Dorimanx-Rom-2.8.4-Nightly-209-HIGH-END-CLK"
The procedure I followed using Magldr was:
1) task 29
2) flashed Radio
3) flashed mgldr
4)in mgldr repartition I choose 150mb partition size, 5 cache size, clicked repartition
5)mgldr, ad recovery, advanced, partition sd card , 1024, 0
6)ad recovery-mounts and storage-mount usb storage-when pc sees phone, send rom to phone
7)mgldr menu-ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find your rom and choose with call button-after installation is complete reboot phone.
I am back on stock Windows Mobile 6.5 as I need a working phone.

the reason it failed is because you are using a cLK build for Magldr. Magldr uses a boot folder which contains an initd.gz and a zImage. cLK uses a raw boot.img like native android phones. Hope this helps.

As the previous user stated you have tried to flash a CLK Rom via the CWM method.
You need to download the correct type (with Dorimanx it will be the Dorimanx-Rom-2.8.4-Nightly-209-HIGH-END-MAG.zip version) and flash it via CWM Recovery as you did before.
It should work fine if you do that as everything else you did was correct.

[Q] Help install ROM Pyramid HTC WWE 1.35.401.1

Hi guys,
I'm sorry, but i'm there 1 week trying to install this rom and I can not, can someone please tell me in a detailed manner from first step to last step how how install this rom?
Link ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075703
My smartphone and tools
HTC HD2 T-MOBILE
HSPL4 2.08
MAGLDR 1.13
ClockworkMod 3.0.2.5 OR 4.0.0.0
HD2 Toolkit
This is the procedure I did and it worked
Enter HD2 toolkit and select option MAGLDR Repartition, Choose system the Partition size (445), Cache Size (5) and finally Functions, Repartition.
After restarting the MAGLDR V1.13 chose option 8 "AD Recovery" then choose "monts and storage" and "mont USB storage" (this to transfer the rom to the card). After "install from sd zip" and "choose zip from sdcard" after installing the "reboot system now". The rom looks like it was installed normally, because there is no error appeared only after restart could not even boot ... the message "kernel NAND open failed" highlighted in red.
Please help me
you are flashing the magldr kernel aswell ?
I understand this error is because the rom was not installed correctly, but do not know why. Should any parameter is missing or procedure that failed to do.
You need to ext the SD card i think.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
Go into Magldr> ad recovery> advanced> partition SD card, 1024m or if you have a large SD card 2048m. Then you put the zip file on the SD card and install again.

Which file you tried flash?
Maybe you choose wrong file.
was it v2.4 you tried?
sybb,
I do not think I need to create partition on T-Mobile only on EU. Am I right?
langthang and Richy99,
Yes, flashing this v2.4 (Pyramid HTC WWE 1.35.401.1 v2.4 Tmous) and after Hieros cLK kernel for Pyramid v2.4, reboot.
*You have some ROM with 3D and Sense to indicate?

you flashed the clk rom when you are using magldr?
I use magldr, fashing clK because this post say
-CWR same as Magldr versions
- Flash Magldr versions, don't reboot, flash Hieros cLK kernel for Pyramid v2.4, reboot!
if you are using magldr you DONT flash the clk rom kernel or it will fail
you just have to install the magldr rom then let it install and reboot DO NOT install anything else such as a clk kernel
Thank you all,
I installed the ROM, but it has many bugs.
Someone may indicate a stable ROM?
