im trying to boot android through the sd card but it goes to the green htc logo then shuts off and goes back into winmo 6.5 how do I get it to boot.
can you write your steps and which rom you are trying.
im using the shady 313 windows 6.5 rom and the android rom is MccMBoxmaX SS
step 1. Extract the zip
step 2. Move android folder over to root sd card.
Step 3. Hit clrcad
step 4. hit haret.exe.
then it loads the green htc screen comes up then shuts off then starts up in windows then i repeat the process and i get the same thing.
your steps are ok. to be more sure can you try another rom for instance americandroid. so we can see if it is rom related or sd card related.
Update your radio.
americandroid does not work either i will try to update my radio as it has not been updated since December and see if that works

No matter what Android build, the minute I try to run it after tossing it on the SD card, it'll go about 4 lines in the bootloader then restart the phone to a white screen with the green HTC on it.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've followed all the steps, put android correctly on the SD card, had HSPLed it but it just won't work. Had no problems with android on the crappy HTC Touch Diamond

I have an HTC HD2 LEO with radio 2.8..... I have installed Android mdjj 4.4 but it runs only for the first time..... After switching off the phone, the phone again comes back to Windows... Pls help... what i m doing wrong???
dude thats what its supposed to do.
You are not replacing windows you are booting a android build located on your SD card. When you use the haret.exe it boots windows from ram and loads the phone into android kernel. To get into Anroid after reboot you need to do same thing again.
There is a solution though, You can install a bootloader that will automatically run haret for you after windows boot and set a delay like 3 seconds, to speed up the whole process you can flash a stripped down version of windows.
Your only other solution is to wait for the NAND project to be released so we can boot Android from nand at boot.
Try this boot loader. It will give you the option of wintel or andriod when switched on

I'm using version 4 which works for me.
i was trying to install ClockworkMod Recovery but after copy 2 files in sd (initrd and zimage) its automatically reboot and now stuck on joker holding the card and now nothing happining what do i do now ? its stuck on joker
Please give more details on exactly what you where doing and what you have done like MAGLDR or Task 29. Cause just copping those two files to your SD card should not have made your HD2 reboot. The more info you can give the better your chance of getting your problem solved.
ohh damn im going mad

Did MAGLDR ever boot up on your HD2, did you see the screen with tjhe 12 options on it?
If not you do not have the right kind of radio version you will need to flash a 2.07.50.xx or higher radio. I actually recommend radio 2.15.50.14. To do this go to here to download the radio. Then power on your HD2 while holding down the volume down button. When you see the multicolor bootloader screen connect your HD2 via USB cable and wait until you see the Serial in the white bar of bootloader to .to USB. Then right click the custom RUU and select run as administrator.
If this does not fix your issue then re flash MAGLDR by doing the same method. And if still no joy you can flash back to Windows Mobile too by using this method or flashing via SD card.
Also click on my guide loinked in my sig to learn how to flash Clockwork Mod Recovery using option #5 USB Flasher in MAGLDR. Putting the initrd and zimage file on your SD card is the old way to install CWM.

If his ROM can be install via CWM then you don't need to put initrd and zimage files in SD card. That's SD Android. Is his ROM Nand? If it's then put his build zip in your SD then download ClockworkMod Recovery zip, extracted it and run DAF. Now go into CWM and install that ROM. You can follow my sig.
ohh sorry to be a big big noob mgloder i saw 11 options ok then by mistake with usb connection i format my sd card then my card was not working later i solve that problem and then agian i wanna install clock recovery and then i saw a tutorial on you tube that person put that 2 files 1st on sd card as i told before ( zimage and one more ) later when i restart my hd2 then its automatically start some procedure then GO GO GO and later come a joker pic not im stuck on that always same now some thing start and then GO GO GO and then joker screen i think i have to buy now a card reader and then put some rom in sd card and then boot it agian what u say ?? give me some advise please thanks alot ( i have radia 2.15 installed )
Hi,
It's been fun installing all the various Android ROMS these past 2 years. Unfortunately the time is up for this phone and I will be moving to another one. I want to restore it back to a Windows 6.5 phone.
I tried to follow all the steps outlined by jayceooi but can't get past step 9. I have the tri-color boot screen but I don't see any where that says loading. Regardless, I tried to time it to the exact split second where it finishes loading the text on top and let go of the volume button. It just shows the word "Serial" in the bottom white box and nothing happens.
I notice that in the video, he's not using the T-Mobile HD2 (no colors on the phone buttons and no T-Mobile name on top). Do those instructions still apply?
I downloaded the official T-Mobile software and have renamed that RUU nbh file to leoimg.nbh in the root folder of my SD card. Does it matter if my SD card still has other files in it (from Android) as long as that nbh file is in the root folder?
I couldn't find much doing a search here or on Google, but do I have to uninstall HSPL? I have 2.08 which seems to be the same version shown in that video.
Thanks.

I don't think there should be anything wrong with that method for a TMOUS having given it a quick read through. If that method succeeds for you, then the HSPL will already have been reset back to the default one for the WinMo ROM you flashed. If not, then just flash a stock WinMo ROM from the bootloader as you normally would, then flash a stock SPL afterwards. It has the same effect as the one in jayceooi's guide, but it's just a little easier IMO.
dont forget sd card flashing wont work on cards bigger than 4gb
Thanks for the replies. I followed everything but still couldn't figure it out so I did the following instead:
1. Used HSPL3 tool to flash back 2.08.0000 For some reason it won't restart my phone and go into the boot loader, so I manually booted it into the boot loader and the tool kicked in.
2. Next I installed the official software ROM release by T-Mobile. Same problem. Had to boot it to the boot loader manually for this to proceed. My guess is that this is because it's not a Windows OS so active sync is not being used.
3. Crossed my fingers and it looks like everything went well. Back to WinMo 6.5 :good:
Hopefully if anyone runs into a similar situation, the above steps will work out for them also. Was banging my head on this one and with my luck, I couldn't find any 2GB micro SD cards in the house
