What's it do?
It makes your phone FAST... super snappy with better multitasking!
It rearranges and fixes the OOM Groupings and Priorites and lowmemorykiller values.
So basically, it's a COMPLETE MEMORY MANAGEMENT FIX!
It's the ONLY one of it's kind

Yeah you're right this tweak works great for me, I have about 40 more mb of RAM all the time and everything feels like its preloaded
This look great... I hope someone can make this as a software for easy application...
Hurro Avetny, do you find the i9100 running low on RAM a lot? Seems to not offer a lot above memory functions, think theres much mileage in this for SGS2 vs under (memory) equipped units like SGS1?
Interesting find, looking forward to some solid feedback

WHy is it that CM does not incorporate this into their roms ?
yup, an CWM version will be nice
I will give it a go tomorrow, very sleepy....
thanks for sharing
Love.
but is there a way to integrate it into a ROM.
Like as a Package!
need to find a Way!
EDIT 1: yup figured Out how to, will be there pre installed in my ROM. yupee!
EDIT 2: Custom ROMs will now get the /data/userinit.sh and /data/99SuperCharger.sh files.
Just change the variable (rcpath=) on line 116 to the path of your *rc file!
That's it and you can Cook it into your ROM's.
Hope it helps all you ROM Devs.
sounds great .. testing

Not sure I agree with that. Retaining data in memory will result in better performance than unloading and reloading the same data back in again from relatively slow storage.
Trying the SuperCharger script using the "Multitasking" preset. I don't want my apps terminated just to get free RAM, then having to reload the same apps again.
Not sure if this will result in any actual performance improvements on a SGSII, given that they're already so fast, but if it can prevent Launcher screen reloads, then I'll be happy.

Agree with this. The phone has already huge RAM. Don't see the point of putting a RAM/memory tweak. I dunno about other scripts though

I respect your efforts and I'm not trying to sound so negative, but as other folk have said... we don't really need a RAM fix for this device. I've never encountered a slow moment once and continue to love this phone without any "speed" improvements other than the custom rom I have installed.

Just wondering, is it better if I set up a swap now-a-days on ICS? I heard some rumors of swap fixing low mem. issues and reboots; mainly on TexasIce's thread. Also, is it ICS that is allowing our phone to use this swap if it does? Thanks for the help guys
We could have always used swap, but it wasn't really necessary for GB. ICS ran fine without swap for me so and I would rather not use it. Try it with and without and see what works best for you.
That's just the thing. I wanted to hear what others had to say because I did not want to have to go through the whole reformatting my SD for no true reason. I have over 20 gbs I would be having to transfer back over and I would have to deal with the slow SD transfer speeds of ICS. (And yes, I know it is a bit faster with 3rd party app or via recovery mounting).

I havn't tried the Multi Mount but how much of a pain is it to go to the recovery and mount from there, I have a class 10 SD and recovery mounting I can get about 15-20 mb\s, but while in rom i'm limited to probably 3-4, Ill have to try out multi mount though.
Okay cool, a violin. But this isn't about Multi Mount. A bit off topic now. I'll try it and report back my findings (swap, not the app).

With texasice's ICS ROM, before he added his reboot-fix, almost everyone faced reboots because of out-of-memory errors. Now, however, there is little to no need of a swap partition.

After trying it out, I can +1 this now. ICS seems to work the same w/out swap, no performance increase. I just brought this topic up because it was mentioned and I wanted to test the myth to see if ICS actually worked fast/stable with a swap.
Conclusion: Myth / belief busted, swap will not increase performance / stability when running ICS. Thanks guys

Here's mine just as a point of comparison. I'm running Thor's v96.
I have the face lock settings. But i am NOT using it. I set it up the flashed the acer ring. I like the lock screen ring over the face lock.. I hardly ever lock my tablet. I Think for the most part ics is great. the browsers are much lacking CHROME Will often end up dead at a black screen with more then a few tabs open with text tearing. Stock browers has artifacts and some tearing with the same text issues as chrome.. I think the issue is that acer does not have hardware acceleration tweaked correctly. if at all for applications. it seems the browsers are lagging not the os. as in the past it seemed to me it was android.

Good words for the thread! I am aware of Androids operating techniques. I am looking for the rom that from boot runs on the least ram. With no apps going except required apps. Thus leaving more RAM for all of your other desires We are well aware(most) that we have a dual core tegra 2 tab with limitations since tegra 3 is about to drop into stores everywhere... we still have a powerful device and anyway I can free up some space from the start, I will take I like minimalist roms... as well as fully loaded. ICS is proving to be troublesome for random people and I want to be one of the ones that says, "Oh... no SOD here. Just smooooooth butter."

This is totally true . The screen shot i provided was Right after flashing the rom NO Email accounts set up. or nothing.
Android Os lets things sit in memory but sorta static it shows them taking up valuable ram. This allows them to use less cpu cycles to wake up PREVENTING Ram and cpu spikes. Thus using less resources and battery consumption. Yes i nknow techie guys this is not totally exact explanation but its a quick and easy one. With the basic concept.
I will add the above is the reason why task managers that Auto kill aggressively will fight with the android built in memory management. Thou they are good for trouble shooting apps that are rogue.
Sorry if this turned off topic just my screen shot being a fresh install was not totally accurate now im averaging 301 to 320s and it looks to be the average .

Interesting knowledge.
I'm probably not alone in watching this thread with interest...I'm looking forward to ICS, while admittedly happy with 3.2.1. I'm looking less at memory use than I am at stability; since moving to the almost-stock-yet-rooted Honeycomb, I've had close to zero problems I didn't create for myself.
For me, changing ROMs (I often wonder how the OS image got the nickname ROM, which means read-only and implies flashing to EEPROM to old guys like me) is something of a PITA, since there's much about stock Android I rip out by the roots (including Market, BTW, so everything on my tablet is sideloaded), which makes me want to do it once and get to the most stable. So for those of you brave enough to leap into ICS before us, keep posting those reports!

I currently am running Icylicious 4.0.3, works awesome. Really a lot faster then before, I was starting to get frustrated with the lag in between pages... but it's better now! Love the rom, nothing's really wrong with it. Fixed dhcp drop as well as a weird problem I was having with my headphone jack when I'd plug my headphones in (had honeyvillain kernel before.) But yeah works great now! No face-unlock that I could find, but didn't really want it anyway.

This is a list I will do further updates on,
currently I tested all Roms with Quadrant and standard installation with minimum apps and freshly tests after installation!
Benchmark used: QUADRANT
Average of several QUADRANT tests taken and combined and put in the list!
Other Roms will be checked in the future of course too
Be patient, the Note is getting hot because of flashing

You DO know that benchmarks are just a bit of pointless epeen waving, and really have bugger all to do with actual device performance, right?

Not fully, you really can distinguish their performance with those benchmarks especially the memory and I/O and 2D.
Each Rom gives you different amount of processes at the beginning with different kernels and their performance. This creates a different kind of system everytime you install another Rom.
As you see I didn´t count nothing about battery life or stability, thats the only penalty with it!

IDK why Hypernote was slow, but Quadrant showed me really low results!I cant remember that Hypernote was underclocked, so the process system and the kernel may be the cause...

Of course I am not that stupid!
I made 3-5 Tests, deactivated Mobile Data, Sync, Rotation, any processes that can be deactivated on ANY rom, installed ONLY quadrant and killed all processes before using quadrant! Then did multiple tests, MEGA WIPE after any installation of any ROM! No additional apps, except aroma chooseable things!
AGAIN for newbs: The test SHOWS only SPEED/Performance Ability, NOT battery life, NOR stability NOR functionality! Since a LOT of things can be modded directly by the user, its the best thing to know the ROM with best performance to work with. Why? You can analyze the rom's features like kernel, modding, etc.
great job with the list man. I'm quite a fan of hypernote but I'm very surprised it placed last. maybe something important for speed was removed from the hypernote rom that's why?

Looks like a full-time job to me. So many ROMs, so many kernels, so many combinations; and, for each one, so many different other variables as have been mentioned above; e.g. indoors, outdoors, sunny, hot, cold, proximity of 3G towers towers/WIFI access points, types of movies seen, software, GPU, multi tasking, and so on This is treading a thesis, IMO.
Good idea nevertheless, although I do prefer the ARHD 5.0 with PERSEUS...now, was it 26 or 26.1?

Obviously you think too complex! Didn´t you read? I used the ROM ITSELF, the ROM's power which comes directly from the developers, such MODS and tweaks which are made by USERS don´t count, when you compare between STOCK ROM with STOCK kernel, you don´t do ANY tweaks with stock ROm to compare them with Custom Roms RIGHT?
It says CUSTOM ROM COMPARE LIST , not USER EDITED LIST with different KERNELS etc. -.-
THATS IT! There are NO big combinations ONLY different versions of the CMs to make it easy! If I would test different KERNELS I would add of course the TITLE (different kernels)
Whats so hard to understand a performance comparison?

According to their website, they only support 3 devices right now. You can port it yourself with this if you'd like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
I'm not sure if the dev has plans to support more devices or not.

See their website, they have the Gapps download linked on there as well. Just flashed the ROM & Gapps, everything seems pretty nice. It is quite fast, but I'd like to give it some time before anything. I like the weather widget (my favorite looking one, same as on Captivating) as well as the launcher. It's a pretty smooth UI too, in case choppiness bugs anyone.
Any easy way to change the DPI?
RE: gamerzrom 4.2.2
Thanks for a new ROM to try! This was also on my to-port list. But I've been getting lazy.

Worked like a charm, thank you! Changed DPI to 182, still running great. (Used to SlimRom DPI)
Thank you dear friends. But I'm really shocked because of low interest from captivate community.

It's not so much low interest, it's more of the following:
- New thread, been less than 24hrs and a lot of us work .
- As you can see, there are quite a few ROMs for our cappy's, and some people don't want to try out newer ones until they read reports from other users
Give it a few days, I know there's a few other people who will try it out besides me . So far, no complaints. I would love for you to include a DPI manager with the ROM, but using textdroider DPI from the market works just fine.
Oh and inverted gapps would be cool, as well as a "dark" theme much like SlimBean.
But overall experience so far: 10/10, running flawlessly right now at 182 DPI as the only change.
RE: gamerzrom 4.2.2
If anyone is wondering, the Gapps must be flashed (yes I know it says in OP ) to introduce full functionality to the capacitive buttons and lock screen. I run without the Google apps when I can, mostly using this phone as media/game/alarm-clock device. My first boot and subsequent reboots without the Gapps package were buggy. Running fine since the Gapps flash. I used ROM Toolbox to change the DPI through build.prop. Will report back with more results soon as I can.
Super fast rom thank you so much...is there any way to increase loudspeaker volume? My cappy gives best sound on stock gb 2.3.5
2- is there a possibility to have pause and resume function in video recording like in stock gb 2.3.5?
Thanks again.
this is a good rom and one of the few which are lagless and delivers a good experience :good:
all the games work fine and 720p videos also play without lag.
so overall it is a good rom.
keep up the good work :good::good::good:
