Problem with using MAGLDR112 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I'm having problems installing windows phone 7/Android on my HTC HD2 T-mobile USA I have SPL-2.08.HSPL but at the top it says SS-B3 when in the bootloader, my radio is 2.12
The problem is that when I try to install 'MAGLDR112' in boot loader it gives me a error and says my usb isn't connected etc . I even tried turning on the phone normally and setting it to active sync - it just brings me to the bootloader and the progress stays at 0% and eventually stops and says theres a error
I read that you must have radio 2.15 but when I try to install the radio 2.15 the same thing happens like the magldr112

Try updating your drivers on the pc. Go to bootloader and connect your phone. There should be a message on your pc if drivers are missing. And do not use magldr 1.12, install version 1.13

Also are you sure it says "2.08.hspl" and not 2.08.0000" cos hanging at 0% often means no hspl.

What version of HSPL do you have on your device. Magldr only works with 2.08 as per all instructions in many threads.

Problem with maglder
Hi
I am trying to install Magldr on my HTC HD2, SPL 2.08, however i am getting the following error message everytime MagLdr (RomUpdateUtility) restarts my phone to upload the new version,
"ERROR [266]: UPDATE ERROR
The update utility cannot get response from your PDA phone. Please check that your USB cradle/cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA Phone. And also check your PDA Phone."
Dont know why it shows this message, I checked all the connections, the SPL shows connected to USB, my Windows 7, 64bit also dectects it, but I am still getting this message. please help
Have you got SPL 2.08 or HSPL 2.08? The rom update utility won't run unless you've got HSPL installed.

Killed my HD2

Hi all
Newbie. And new to Phone Updates etc.....
Have HTC HD2 on O2. Was attempting to put NAND on it, followed the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11215136&postcount=8
All steps conpleted successfully, but after "Step C: Install MAGLDR"
The MAGLDR113 Rom updated the phone successfully, then it rebooted and is now stuck the O2 screen.
Any help would be appreciated.
what rom did you flash after you installed magldr?
try to flash magldr again
u got hspl 2.08 ?
Do you have the correct radio (2.15.50.14) ?
have you tried pressing the power button on booting?
Flash again winmo 6,5. After that flash HSPl 3.0. Flash radio 2.15.50. In boot screen ( hold power button and volume down) Flasyh Magldr.
I would say invisiblebm is right - reflashing again should help - cause as long as your reacts when you push the power button it is not dead
Hi all. Thanks for info.
Current state is that the phone is frozen at 02 welcome screen. Nothing happens when soft or hard boot.
When you boot holding down arrow I get
PB8110 SS-BC
SPL-3.03.hspl XE
0x05
cotullaHSPL 0x50
Unable to reflash, as the phone doesnt showup to the pc on usb, though the white part of the 4 colours RED/GREEN/BLUE/WHITE does change from serial to USB when you connect to the PC.
Phone shows up as a device "qualcomm cdma technologies MSM"
Is there anything more I can do save for sending back to O2.
Was at version o SPL 1.66.0000
I choose 3.03HSPL
Leo 2.15.50.14.rar contents - Via CustomRUU
The MAGLDR113 113 from the XDA Dev Site
Completed successfully, then rebooted, but didnt come up.
cheers
John
Even thought there is no apparent phone connection, it still connects if it switches from serial to USB. I had the same problem. Mine also said qualcomm techs. But when i reflashed MAGLDR using DAF.exe, it worked fine.
Can you post the link to the downlaod please
Just put the phone in bootloader, connect USB, when says "USB" on bottom of phone screen, its ready for flashing. Ignore the fact the PC doesn't seem to connect, the phrase "get an activesync connection" in the various tutorials is a pain in the arse, (even though it is technically correct.)
Anyway, magldr won't start cos you have the wrong hspl. As you already know because it says so in post 1 of the magldr thread, which you DID read, right? It says magldr will only work with 2.08.hspl, , , you have 3.03.hspl.
Enter bootloader, connect USB, run hspl4, choose 2.08.hspl and reboot, magldr should start.
So what I understud is , that the phone is not connecting to the PC. Try this:
Restart you PC, Go in to bootloader and try again, In most of the cases is some conection error between the devices. It hapen to me many times.
Thanks. Missed the SPL-3.03, rushing to do it. Its now on 2.08 and the loader comes up. Just the flash to do next. cheers
lesson of the day?
Always read the instructions 10 times
very very very true
Thanks to all fro your help btw, since running Nand, and now Gingerbread 2.3.

[Q] Stuck in MAGLDR 1.11

Hi!
I've been using an Andriod NAND for like 2 years now and decided to upgrade to IcecreamSandwich. I installed HSPL 2.08 which I believe I had before anyway. Then I tried updating my radio but I get connection error 262. Apparently my phone wouldn't synch with WinMobileDeviceCenter. When I bootload I get serial and when I plugin it changes USB. But device doesn't get recognized. after rebooting I can start my Android no longer - MAGLDR 1.11 says ...boot mount failed. So I'm stuck in MAGLDR 1.11 and I can't ever restore to WinMobile original ROM. Any ideas?

if you put the phone in bootloader (4 colors Screen - HSPL 2.08 exc..) and show up USB when you connect it to the PC, it should be recognized from the application flasher, no PC.
Try to go in bootloader and when you connect the phone to your pc and when show up USB try to upgade and flash MAGLDR 1.13, (no MAGLDR 1.11 the old one) the last one.
Are you sure you used the right Radio for Leo?
thanks

When I try updating either the radio or MAGLDR in the install instructions there is this step2 where I have to establish an activesynch with my phone. I can't. So when I run the update it starts but progress stays at 0% both on PC and phone screen. After a few minutes I get error 262.
I'm trying to install radio 2.15 from Jayce Ooi's Paradise
Forget about active sync, you will never get an active sync connection unless win mo is running,, ,that'snot what the instruction to "get an active sync connection" means. It means get a USB connection, which uses the active sync drivers.
Try different usb ports,,do not use a front mounted usb port, only theones inthe back of the machine.

Why do I get this connection error then?
I did try different USB ports. Even tried different PCs. Same thing.

find another radio from XDA for HTC HD2, "radio 2.15? What this mean? from Jyce Ooi's Paradise" do not mean anything, I know Jayce and he is an amateur, not master.
You don't answer on questions given to you, if you want help, do you flash from bootloader? turn-off phone, keep pressing volume-down, press button on?
In bootloader, when you connect to pc, show up USB on the bottom of the screen?

The same thing happens even with the original radio (RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.66.479.2_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship). What question haven't I answered? Yes, I flash from bootloader and yes USB shows up on the bottom when I connect it to the PC. When the updating of the ROM image starts there is no progress - neither on the instalator, nor on my phone (it shows HTC and a progress bar with 0%). After a couple of minutes I get Error 262 and "The ROM update utility has encountered a communication errors during update process."
Is my phone bricked?

Bricked mean dead, no life at all, your still alive but there is some errors, you should be happy to turn-on the phone in bootloader and usb be recognized. You have to try flash ONLY Radio 2.15.50.14.
If you can't flash the radio which I told you try to erase your rom with this tool.
you can update you magldr 1.11 to 1.13
you can update you magldr 1.11 to 1.13:highfive:
even with the original radio (RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.66.479.2_Radio_CRC_S igned_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship

thats not a radio, thats a rom that includes a radio, but also includes an spl, , 1.66.0000
Are you SURE it still says x.xx.HSPL in bootloader? because hanging at 0% is very often associated with not having hspl installed.

exactly, I forgot about that!
Also if you really have x.xx HSPL is no more a problem of you Phone but of you PC, so try different OS, even XP, and still trying. IS NOT THE PHONE.

reinstall WMDC or try another microUSB cable.
Try to connect usb when in bootloader mode.
also you didn't say in what mode the phone is in, , , it requires the stripey screen bootloader for task29, not the magldr screen (a common mistake)
also also, ''Qualcomm CDMA Tech'' is most often seen when the phone is bricked (such as a tmous that has had a non tmous radio flashed.)
is the phone working ok? does it say 'usb' in bootloader (stripey screen) when you connect the usb?

the Phone is in Bootloader mode, tricolor screen, the Radio and HSPL are mentioned at the top of this post,
like mentioned above the phone works gr8 (or read i havent seen any probs thus far with the upgraded ROM)
OLD ROM : NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10_V1.2 (low "incoming call" ringtone volume issues, also Camcorder stopped working after a month.. )
NEW ROM : NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10_V1.4a:good:
updated via sdcard using EXT4 and all default setings
( ROM/Data on NAND)
Havent seen any probs thus far
Since this was my First Flash, i might have used the Europe version of the Radio Rom 2.15.50.14
am not sure.. is there any way to find out.?
accidentally found a TMOUS Radio Rom 2.15.50.14 for the "first time yesterday"
How to fix this? go back to stock and then retry?
Thanks

1. The phone is in Bootloader, tricolor screen, the details are mentioned at the top of this thread
While in Bootloader
2. When i try to change the drivers through "win 7 Device Manager" in auto mode, i cannot
I have to manually select the driver
i tried to install HTC sync drivers but Win wont let me, says incompatible driver
When I install google usb drivers the Bootloader Mode changes from Serial -> USB (see details in 1st post)
but when using HD2 Toolkit task 29, it gives error : 260 : connection failed
and yes i have replaced the usb cable
+ tried the same on my Win 7 laptop
