This is the first time I've read about the G2 getting it as well. If it's true, then it's great news that we aren't being neglected.
Yeah i thought that at first matey
but those are HTC's exact words so it must be official
i cant wait... i do like custom roms but having an update that will be stock gingerbread to work off will be great. if the devs can get it rooted and s-off and maybe remove some of the rubbish we dont need then we will have a clean, rooted reliable stock rom which will be great... although as its stock it may need a few bug fixes but generally it should be pretty stable
You know, I just emailed HTC about the G2 the other day and the guy basically replied that they give updates based in carrier request, and they had not yet received an update request from t-mobile for the g2 as of this weekend.
So either my guy had no idea what her was talking about, or your guy is lying.

really mate?
oh right well i hope it is coming to Desire Z and G2
that list is exactly what i have in my email.
i might question HTC support about the matter, just to see what they have to say, with they had a page which they posted future rom updates, it would make it a lot more easier and exciting lol

tested Rooting guide on MB 508( very simple and working)

just as reference: a link for those who are facing any difficulty to root their device( including other devices as listed in the thread)
follow the guide and root your motorola, hope to have at least a bunch of roms for this dummy soon...:-|
if any one knows about exactly which recovery works great and perfect for 508 instead of defy and flipout, would be highly appreciated, also if you can please direct to the link of any rom( already been tested) like modified eclair with more space( like 100 mb plus apps to sd and possibly 2nd partition to SD Card, would be a charm to use this device)
thanks in advance

[Q] HTC Sensation replaced HTC HD2

Hi there,
I am gonna take another phone in about two months, will the htc sensation replace the HTC HD2 in the developing of new roms ?
Are there anny developers. who can tell me that
ThnX in advange
I have a HTC Sensation 4G and the development for the Sensation is gettin.g even better now. There is plenty of custom ROMs for the Sensation and with the resent release of the kernel source code and the Adreno driver binaries. I think the development is really going to take off soon. Not to mention the resent release of a fairly easy debricking method for those users that bricked thief Sensation some how while Isis.g Revolutionary to S-off thirty Sensation.
i've moved from an HD2 to a S4G as well.
it's a great device and there's a great community supporting it as well

[REF] Portable Devices

So I am making this in the hopes that others will be able to port things faster without doing a ton of background and just getting into it
ROM's from the following devices can be ported to the shift
HTC EVO 4G
HTC EVO 3D
HTC Desire Z and T-Mobile 2
Samsung Galaxy Nexus S
Galaxy Nexus
Nook tablet (needs service edits)
LG Optimus Black
Huawei u8818
I know that I am missing A LOT, so please feel free to suggest any other devices that can be ported from!
Evo, galaxy nexus, nook tablet but needs service edits, Evo 3d cant think of anymore

The single most important thing for me when it comes to ports is screen resolution. I mean similar hardware will make it easier, but 9 times out of ten if the resolution is the same as ours the hardware is close enough not to make much of a difference. Mokee was ported from a ZTE device and optimus black, the Miui JB was from the Desire Z build, Shendu OS based off of Huawei u8818.
EVO 4G is probably the easiest, because it is the most similar. A good place to start for first time porters.
