Since the HTC Desire Z and the T-Mobile G2 came out, both of there phones look just the same, even the specs are almost the same, is it possible to make a Android ROM with the HTC Sense UI that works on the T-Mobile G2?

HTCSense.com

thx
Okay, sort of a noob question, but I like the new Sense UI on the Inspire 4G, but I can't get an upgrade until 2012, so is there anyway of getting the new version of Sense ported to the Aria?
This will only be possible if htc released a phone with the new sense that has the same hardware as ours
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
I doubt, for the Aria. With the way HTC handles their products, they will just release a newer version of the Aria leaving the old phones with no updates.
Is wildfire getting the new sense ui v3.0 ?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Probably not.
The Sense 3.0 UI is on Wildfire S because the S has a more powerful processor and GPU.
Officially, certainly not. Unofficially, danne_jo, te creator of Wildpuzzle ported the new Sense but unfortunately it doesnt work. The view is that the new Sense requires a newer processor than what the Wildfire has. Still, this is unconfirmed though.
The new sense is made for more recent hardware, but it can denfinily work on our wildfires. The hardware is just OK.
The current Sense on the wildfire is slow and sluggish.
I don't see the new and graphically improved one running any better,
can be port? wildfire s have that. I thınk sense 3.0 work on our wildfires they have enough hardware.
time to get a new phone methinks!
maybe on wildfire s, but probably not on our wildfire
i don't think there will be official one since wildfire s launch. the old phone still compete with new gen wildfire will be bad idea for a company.
pray that danne_jo will give us brighter hope.

Wildfire S has already the new Sense.
You look at HTC forums and you see Sense 3 ROMS for the Desire or Desire Z or pretty much any HTC phone. Similarly when Sense 2.1 was new it was already ported onto the Desire. So why hasnt the UI of Galaxy S2 or S1 been ported to Nexus S? I'm not talking about just theming, but a proper port of Touch Wiz

Because TouchWiz is closed-source and no developer wants to put their time and effort into porting TouchWiz? It's very difficult to port a framework all from scratch.
The best thing you could do to come close to TouchWiz is to use the TouchWiz launcher which may be found in the Themes section of NS.
isnt HTC sense also close sourced? Atleast it was in the Desire HD era

Yes. I never said it was impossible to do.

yes I can imagine it would be difficult. But I also think there's something more to it. Sense UI 3.0 was ported to Desire even before the first Sense 3 phone was officially out. So either its really easy to port Sense UI or overly difficult to port touch wiz. But its just strange no one has given it a go. Heck there's a Sense 3 ROM for Nexus S

This is not the Desire, Desire Z or whatever phone you think it is.
The Sense 3.0 ROM is not a fully functional ROM. A lot of functionality is incomplete and it is not a "daily driver" ROM whatsoever. A lot of custom kernels also don't support the ROM.
Also, the ROM hasn't been updated for a long time now. It has been on a long hiatus since to the IMEI renaming problem that has caused bricks on people's phones. Not wanting to reproduce the talk about that but that's what happened.
The Nexus S is a pure Google device. If TouchWiz was going to be the deal breaker, you should of gone with Galaxy S2 or Galaxy S series.
Talking is easy. Doing it on the other hand is another problem.
I've Made A Rom For The Droid X, And Currently Making A Rom For The Nexus One, Samsung Fascinate, And The HTC Desire Z (G2). My Plan Was To Get It To All The Galaxy S Varients, Nexus One, Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Droid Charge, HTC My Touch 4G, HTC Droid Incredible, Wildfire, HTC Hero, Original HTC Desire, HTC G2 (Desire Z) And Aria.
When Will Espresso ROM Be Released?
Later This Week.
(If You Search Over On The Droid X Forums, You'll Find My ROMs Including Espresso, & Doubleshot)
