Here is my variant of bootanimation.
For them, who notice it in CM7 tread: this is fixed version, tested on my phone (sorry i was doing it first time).
There is else a gif preview in draft quality. I hope you enjoy it!
How to setup: (for such noobs as me )
1. Install some file explorer with root access (I used eStrongs)
2. Replace the file bootanimation.zip placed in folder system/media
3. Reboot
P.S. I think everybody are welcome to post here your bootanimations.
Thank you
WOOOOOOOHAAAA! I just tried and it is good I like it! GREAT! and thank you for this
that's great job
just a suggestion, can't we have something specific to our device?
like "android photon" or "photon powered by android" or something
Thanks Puxus, perfect official like every things is great!
just one small, if could in picture "A" or "part1", I think the Android Text should have another effect... a simple or fading..Laser.
& Robin, don't you think better way without specific as you said? cause for official like or see other phone you looked.
you're free to say your likes
Thanks all of you guys! I`m very glad you like it!
-r0bin-, actually, for me it`s more usefull to call my phone hd mini. I really don`t know why its called photon. So what do you think about some small text under Android logo: htc hd mini loading...
Else I have an idea to make android logo, not green but yellow, as our phone is inside, what do you think about it?
iPlasm, I`ll make another one simple version whith just fading effect, just in a few days.
Very very good animation but maybee adding text for our phone maybe htc hs mini will be great?
New bootanimations
I made several new variations of bootscreen. I try to follow some of your requests, have fun!
P.S. Gif previews are inside of rar
Thank you very much, Puxus
You made Great things.
And I like your Light's one is the most beautiful for me.
Hope everyone likes Puxus's BootAnimations! very Thankful.

Version 2. I wanted to make it look a little less "busy" so I gave it more of a see-through effect and each button is very slightly different, fitting in with a complete screen image, if you see what I mean.
Also matched the ROM colour better.
B/W version added as an alternative
Unzip files and copy to /Windows using TotalCommander or something similar.

I like what you have done so I did as instructed... now how to I get it? Sorry for the obviously not smart question but I've been up since 7am yesterday and it's now 915am... yes time for bed! My brain isn't working!
have you already installed HTC ActionScreen?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1663819&postcount=1
Do that first, otherwise you don't actually have the application ;-)
Very nice - I like them!

Hey DaVince - where did you get those HTC Home icons from? They look great!
which launcher is that below the htc home plugin? I'm currently using claunch, but that one looks good.
Plugins shown in order:
1. HTC Home
2. Quick Launcher
3. Windows Mobile 6.1 Getting Started
4. Device Owner
It's the WM 6.1 ROM for the Touch Dual by tom_codon. Once officially released, I'm sure somebody will extract them and post it here.
Good Work....
Tks for sharing!!!
Thanks for sharing
U the man. I copied all AS files excepts for the AS_Bkgd_1.brn file and found a very nice result. Your new graphic on top of the old one. Very nice. Tried it.
Thanks again.
what am I doing wrong? I installed the app, copied files to windows and still showing the old skin.

Please, it is possible to create black version of this awesome graphics? I am lame for this graphical stuff
I'll see if I have time
See first post for b/w version
also.. anyone have a better icon for Action Screen app?
The default is only that boring white square
To replace the icon
I think you have to use a Resource Editor.
Correct me if I'm wrong somebody?

I was wondering this exact thing the other day!
edit the .lnk file to have this:
48#"\Windows\HTCActionScreen.exe"?<Path of icon or DLL>,<index of that icon>
Go to http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5154243&messageID=9583160 for more details. They talk about it in the last 2 or 3 posts.
@davehutch - I love the Action Screen graphic. I'm using it and pumped!
Nice graphics. Thanks a lot

Hi folks! Been Browsing your pages a lot these days and I like your stuff. SO I thought I'd sign up and give something back to you: A custom startup animation for the X1. Put the file into Windows folder (overwriting the original) and there you go. Warning: You cannot do this over ActiveSync! I'm not sure if it works with the built-in file explorer, I did it with RESCO Explorer, works fine after confirmation. Make sure you have a backup copy of the original file somewhere. I'd be glad to hear some comments Tell me if you like it or not and WHY. If you don't have any idea what this is gonna do: It will change the animation right after the Sony Ericsson logo when you power it up. Sony Ericsson logo before and Windows logo after remain untouched.
EDIT: Just found out that I have to ZIP the file... Otherwise it becomes JPG. So Download, Unzip, and THEN copy.
Well I kinda made one too. Just for fun.
If the startup animation doesn't show up, download the ALLOWANIM.ZIP file, extract and merge the registry settings in your x1.

Nice idea to refer to the startup logo
And another attempt by me, this one's a little bit more exciting and I've stolen your idea about fading the logo PSD this time included.
The animation goes like:
Fade out SE logo
Show "Sony Ericsson" text with a shiny animation
Fade in white glowing "X1"
Fade out glowing "X1"
Hope you like it, haven't tested it yet on my X1.
There's been many downloads already, please post some feedback!

@ DeeChan: How come you don't like the big X1? Cuz it's X1 or because of the design?
good idea to start this thread!
here is my art, hope you'll like it
.jpg is a preview
Cool! But I would prefer it if the "Powered by Windows Mobile" etc were present all the time, and the animaiton could be more smooth (Though I'm sure you've invested quite a bit of time into this... Respect!).
i like the start up logo with the paper plane...Genius
But it doesnt let me replace the original file using the in built Phone file explore.
Wot else can i use besides resco??
to Firefall!
I'll create Art 1.1 pic tomorrow, there is too much work now.
to indy.89
try to use Total Commander. but Resco is the best
glad to see you liked my work guys. thnx a lot!
my x1 only has SEMC2904.bmp in windows folder, im using resco.
so tried to change name of SEMC1904.gif to it and says cant overwrite because its part of rom.

Search button? LOL
Sigh: neways 1904 is the animation, and part of rom but it won't do anything but play at the boot so safe to replace from rom.
The 2904 is part of the static splash screen with the big green SE logo. Replacing it won't damage anything. Safe to replace.
If you want bootscreen change, just replace welcomehead.192.png, again safe to change Have fun.

Hi guys,
If you guys were like me and looking for a way to get as close as you can to the Windows 7 boot sequence, then look no further. After scouring through XDA's search engine, filtering the posts, and then editing what I've found, I'm here to share with everyone the finished product of my findings.
I've also included the original unlocked Touch HD files (animation.gif, welcomehead.192.png, BootUpHTC.wav) should you ever want to revert back.
Simply unzip Windows 7.zip and you'll get a Windows 7 folder. In there, you'll see three items: animation.gif, welcomehead.192.png, BootUpHTC.wav. Copy these three items into the Windows folder. I recommend using Resco Explorer to do the process. Voila, you're done.
And of course, many thanks to the following people* for sharing the initial works.
Enjoy guys!
Tested on: Unlocked Touch HD T8282
*Credits:
-remyc for first kicking it off!
-itajackass for sharing the WVGA startup gif animation.
-trodert for sharing the startup sound.
If you're interested in knowing what I did:
The things that I've done from the original post which sparked my initial interest is that the welcomehead192 image is the last frame in the animation.gif (gives a nice smooth & straight boot into WM). I've also corrected the sound file I got from that post. The right channel cracked so I converted the left channel to mono and corrected the pitch changes, etc (to also be in sync with the format of the original sound file: 352kbps, 16 bit, Mono, 22 khz, PCM). In terms of formatting, the new files are completely identical to the original stock files.

Hi guys,
I'd like to let everyone know that I've added a third file to the original two : Windows 7 Corrected. In this version, I've tweaked the startup sound because I personally felt it did go with the flow of the animation.
The corrected version flows much better and there isn't that little soft crack 0.6 seconds into the startup sound (which ruins it in my opinion) as a result of the sound drivers starting up or something.
Enjoy guys and let me know how the corrected version fares! I know I'm anal like that but I hope you guys enjoy it!
Cheers.

DJ,
I'm not sure how it would work on WM6.5 as I have no way of testing that right now. I'm still currently on my first stock ROM.
I'm sorry mate. But try looking in your windows folder and see if you the files animation.gif, etc.
What program did you use to copy the files in?

Here are some Clock cabs I made for the new Hero style Manila 2.5! One will give you clear flip panels and a blue tinted background with white letters! The other black flip pannels with white letters and a green tinted background! I noticed there are not many mods for the new Manila 2.5 so I wanted to get some started! Enjoy friends!
thanx looks good
Great stuff. Thanks
Hmm can't seem to get this to work.
Doesn't work on my tp2. why?
Hi ppl...
@ Cal-El,
Nice job man... But for my EnergyRom I wanted a mix of both of your clocks.
So I've downloaded them (and joined forces ) and came up with a new variant that fits really well with the rom colours. Check it out! Once again thank you.
BTW, I have an Xperia X1.
outta curiousity how did you combine them, i like the look that you achieved, any chance of making a cab for it or explaining how to join forces lol thanks

Hi VETTE, sorry for the late answer...
I'll provide the clock for sure and try to explain for you, it's no big deal.
First I gathered the two cabs, then extract them with WinCE cab manager and then used manila editor to see wich files belonged to wich part of the clock.
So I wanted the blue background (there is a file just for that) and all the rest, black number background and everything else, from the green one. I just copied the files from the green clock and the file for the blue background to windows directory and it's done.
Never forget to disable HTC Sense before doing anything, also make sure the attribute files checked in the properties are "archive", "read only" and "system" before copying them to windows dir. And last but the most important, make backups of the files, we never know what can go wrong.
Cheers.

This is slightly off topic, but how do you get the calendar part under the clock to actually give upcoming appointments instead of saying the word "calendar"? Also, is there a way to add tasks to the home tab?

Did you create the png's yourself? Reason I ask is I am looking for some help. I have a load of jpegs I need to convert to make a boot animation. Although I got it working once, the quality was not what I wanted so I recreated all the JPEGS (stripped from an avi) and I haven't managed to convert them into anything that works since.
Currently they are 24bit Jpegs. I only get the infamous blank screen when I use the bootanimation.zip and I cannot fix it.
Thing is I have managed to get bootanimations working from scratch before aand for the life of me cannot figure this out.
I have tried so many different combinations of programmes, I can't even count them anymore.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit> sorry for spamming your thread. Nice work
