Hmm, sounds like a cool program, downloading 7 day trial now. Hopes it works as advertise. If it does, I'll consider paying for it.
But is there a free solution out there?
I have been looking for such program for a long time until I found MagiCall.
It works smoothly. Althought it is not free, I think it is worth the money. I'll buy it soon.
try "call sms blocker", blocks unwanted callers as well as sms

I have the trial version installed on my 8125, and yes the program works when it keeps the settings that were saved. I have to keep entering the no. I want blocked. I don't think it's worth the money.

It is not necessary to enter the no manually. You can select them from the Contacts or the phone log history. And it supports wildcards * and ?
It has a feature that I think is better than other products is that it filters Outlook's categories. So that I can put unwanted callers to a special category and let it block them.
It has never failed during my trial period.

Coming from Android: Looking for equivalent apps

I have a G1 right now and I am planning on purchasing a TP2 when it is available in my area. What I want to know is (and I guess this can be the official thread for this) does Winmo have an "equivalent" or similar apps for the following android apps:
123Spoof: App that allows the end caller to see a different phone number that is not yours.
A2B:Allows you to save your location using GPS so you can find it later.
Anetshare = Touch Pro 2 WiFi Router: Turns your phone into a wireless access point.
Barcode Scanner: Scans barcodes with camera and searches online for cheapest price for that item.
Call Blocker: Allows you to automatically block callers (they will hear a beeping sound when they call you)
Google Voice: allows you to use your account on your phone through an app. From my understanding there is not an app.
SMSBarrage: Allows you to send 100 txt messages to 1 person all at once.
SMS Commander: Allows you to send a txt to your self with a special code that turns off and on settings. EX. if I text "123456" from any phone to my phone it will turn on gps.
I understand that Winmo is Winmo and Android is Android; They are two operating systems with two different goals. This will not at all persuade my decision in getting a TP2 but it would be nice to be able to have a reference for these similar apps.
As members give me answers I will place them next to the equivalent android app.
Thank you
if this isnt a correct spot for this thread can I have the mods please remove it.

It works here in Los Angeles California in the States.
It only allows free 2 minute calls. If you want longer then you have to pay.
For Barcode Scanner, try i-nigma

Just about any GPS app does this. I think the latest HTC cameras save GPS info in the picture files too so you can take a picture with GPS info embedded. But I'm pretty sure every single one of the many GPS apps you can get will save your location. I use Tom Tom but there are tons out there.

You'll have to go to the website linked from the first post (or read through the thread) because I don't think the front page is updated.
SMSBarrage: Allows you to send 100 txt messages to 1 person all at once.
Try SMS Nuke. You can do both Flash SMS and Standard SMS .

Need help, auto-answer a call

Hello im working with a developer to make an app, and this is her response. I am hoping someone can chime in and give me some guidance i can pass along, where she might look in order to solve our task of auto-answering
we used to evoke 'Action Answer' modules but this feature has been revoked by the Android community as the community states it as a breach of privacy.

So what info can i give her, to guide in creating the auto-answer?
Thank you
Can anyone confirm if its still possible to have an app auto-answer an incoming call?
Thank you all, in a bind sorry for the bump

I do not have any info, only another question - If you do move forward, it would also help me in my quest: Using the 'Volume Up' key to answer the phone call ( thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909172 )
I assume they would need similar answering capabilities ....
i dont see why its a breach of privacy, when the owner of the phone is the one who installs the app. If someone were to install the app on a phone they dont own it would be pretty obvious to the owner something is wrong.
But why not install the app with auto answer turned off as a default, forcing the user to turn it on manually and even stating to them a privacy statement explaing the operation and asking are you sure you wanna do this, maybe even adding a sercurity code for approval.

Our challenge is finding the way to actually do it, to have the phone auto answer. At this point the client is not concerned with privacy, for reasons you listed.
One positive is that i see there is an app called AutoAnswer which (based on reviews) was functional as of 10 days ago. If they can do it, we can do it.
Its just my developer is challenged by what methods to use, or whatever, to invoke the "Answer" action
You can try the following code, but I didn't test it myself (and you need ITelephony.aidl from Android sources)
Code:
TelephonyManager tm =
(TelephonyManager)context.getSystemService(Context.TELEPHONY_SERVICE);
Class clazz = Class.forName(tm.getClass().getName());
Method m = clazz.getDeclaredMethod("getITelephony");
m.setAccessible(true);
ITelephony it = (ITelephony) m.invoke(tm);
it.answerRingingCall();
thanks, i will try!

"Not Another Call Manager" NACM
tested before 10 Minutes on G1 with Biffmod 2.2
you can find it on the Market

An API or a method of doing it via code.
Client is about to walk, because we cannot find a solution.
Need to answer the call automatically based on conditions. Not using Bluetooth, just as if you hit the "Accept" button on the handset, and it connects the call
Still not able to find a solution. Any ideas?
So answerRingingCall() method is not working?

[Q] Call blocker similar to cm7

Hi
I really like blocking unwanted (or maybe all) calls on my blade. Generally i use simcard in my device almost only for internet access. So i need a nice call blocker.
From the past few days im using ICS or CM9 based roms on my blade. Previously i used CM7 roms. In CM7 there is CALL SETTINGS and BLACKLIST in that with WILDCARDS. It works so great that the person who calls us will not hear any call blocking message (like busy, switchedoff, forwarding...). But it seems that this particular feature isn't currently available in CM9 based roms. I have seen entire settings and i cant find call settings in CM9. Hope it gets added soon.
Any solution for call blocking on CM9 , like it used to have on CM7. My main concern is the other person should not hear the call blocking message (i dont want to let others know that im blocking their calls )
Thanks
There's an app called root call blocker
It has five rejection methods. Like u can choose to have it rejected as if ur engaged or let it keep ringing on their end

Yes it is nice. The "fast reject" method present in this is similar to the reject option of CM7.
But the lite version cannot add more than 1profile, but no problem it is more than enough for me.
will also look for any other workarounds.
Sent from my ZTE Blade using XDA
I'll tell u if I find anymore
Edit
There's an app called "Call Block". Its a general name I know, but its icon is a yellow shield with a red phone in its centre. Try it and tell me if it suits u

cant find it. may be not compatible with ics
