You may want to try Call Master app. Thia app is from the same author as Root Call Blocker Pro, but more powerful and flexible.

thanks

[Q] Problem - Facebook

I just purchased the Samsung Galaxy 3 today and installed facebook. I'm having problems with getting notifications from messages and comments made from other people about my status etc... I have gone to the settings in the application and activated so the notififications, no good!
I know the iphone sends a notification to the user when someone makes a comment about your status etc, does the samsung do the same thing??
If you have 2.1 then facebook doesnt support push notifications
Flash a 2.2 rom
i didnt get even after flashing many roms
But you can try
Also try Flow for Facebook
it has push notifications and yes it works but in 2.2 and above only it supports push notifications
No worries thanks, so i need to try Flash 2.2?? And try flow for Facebook?? If so how do i do these? Sorry to ask all these questions I'm not the mobile type, working on it!!

Because people want to see what "issue" you are talking about.

Don't no about a app but i think cm10.1 has that option , u MAY be able to extract phone app and get it to work on stock ROM .
I guess it will feel strange ! pretty awkward ! although extract the phone.apk from cm10.1 ! though !
Changing system apks on stock will affect your ability to accept and install new otas and will further cause problems doyen the road. Flash the rom. Stock rom is overrated and I don't know why people want to stay on it and they want the features of a custom rom.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
My only issues with my Nexus 4 are...
1. No macro on camera.
2. No stabilization on camera.
3. There is a delay when starting a phone call where the other end can not hear you when you strt talking, using either T-mobile, Talkatone, Groove IP or Vonage.
the call vibrate is handy, better than having your phone glued to your ear.
Did you check the dialer settings? Open the dialer, Menu button > Settings and check Vibrate on Answer. Unless that's not available on stock (I'm using CM10.1)
And yes, this is actually very useful. Saves me the trouble of lifting the phone up to my ear only to hear a voicemail box.

It's not available on stock.
People still use Voicemail box? Just tie it to Google Voice's Voicemail. It transcribes your voicemail as well as allows a press play to hear. No more of that "press 1, press * to delete, etc"
On the 4.3 version, does this feature exist?

Fine job making a Windows program. Unfortunately I do not know most of those apps so I will not select them. Is it too much to ask someone for a list of apk name versus function name?

The apk name is listed along with the packagename in the list. If you are unsure what things are safe to block/disable. There are plenty of people on the forum that would be willing to help you.
I did not see the package name so I will have run it again and read more carefully or try to change the size of that field.

The apk is on the left and the package name is on the right. Are you saying you would like to see the App Drawer Name ??
That would be really helpful. Thanks.
This says without root then the other page this links to says root required which is it

Yeah, it sounds like you blocked a little too many, Lol. You can simply go and save your blocked list and then Unblock all and start going one by one until you figure out which ones you do need.
Please bring all feedback and questions over to the forum dedicated for this.

Here's one thing to think about also, by accident I blocked the Google stock email , not the Gmail. I went back to unblock and I had to re-enter all my emails back again. So what I'm saying after a block and then an un-block it wipes the app. Did you expect that to happen or should I expect that to happen for most apps be turned back on?
Thanks

That's odd, it doesn't wipe any data. Nor have I had an issue like that. Let me look into it.

WhatsApp push notifications (Doze?)

I am having real problems with WhatsApp on the P8Lite. I'm on firmware B564. In short, despite the fact that WhatsApp is a protected app and it is set to "ignore optimisations", I often don't get WhatsApp push notifications until I open the app, at which point I receive a flood of them. I'm also using ForceDoze so I can edit the inactive_to setting to 10000000ms, which if I'm correct should instruct Doze not to kick in for a few hours after I stop using my phone.
Can anyone help me on this? I really don't want to roll back to Lollipop. Thanks!

Do you mean allow priority notifications? Does this override Do Not Disturb, because I don't want that.

Are you looking for your ringtone to change on its own randomly each call that comes in or are you trying to have a particular ringtone assigned to certain individuals in your contact list?

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 UnRooted SM-N960W Snapdragon Variant Canadian Model. 6GB/128GB Blue running Android Pie first stable release. I found an app that works, at least on mine it does, just tested it 4 or 5 times having my girlfriend call me. Make sure you turn off "battery optimization" so it does not get put to sleep, also make sure all permissions are granted. "change system settings" must be set to allowed, and notifications must be set to allowed. Here is the app I tested & works fine for me. Hope this helps you out. Message me if you need anything.
Cheers

You can select random Ringtones, random sms/mms tones, and if you buy app it removes ad banner, and let's you pick random notifications for any app as well. Works fine for ringtones in the free version, never tried sms/mms tho. I have my tones in .m4a file format & they may need to be a certain length, not sure, mine are full songs so 2+ minutes and had no issues. Cool idea, thanks for the help request, led me to something new.
Thank you, TWiiTCH! This application has a slightly weird interface, but it works!

Unfortunately this app doesn't work anymore. And it's a bit outdated. I used to have this app for a couple of years and it was great, actually - the best. But it obviously doesn't support Android 13 on both of my phones.
For now I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplycomplexapps.randomnotificationsounds for randomization of notifications and this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leonidbuzmacov.ringtonerotator for ringtones.
But RRM was better because of all-in-one app and it has great features with special conditions for concrete apps, current location etc.
