Coming from Android: Looking for equivalent apps - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

I have a G1 right now and I am planning on purchasing a TP2 when it is available in my area. What I want to know is (and I guess this can be the official thread for this) does Winmo have an "equivalent" or similar apps for the following android apps:
123Spoof: App that allows the end caller to see a different phone number that is not yours.
A2B:Allows you to save your location using GPS so you can find it later.
Anetshare = Touch Pro 2 WiFi Router: Turns your phone into a wireless access point.
Barcode Scanner: Scans barcodes with camera and searches online for cheapest price for that item.
Call Blocker: Allows you to automatically block callers (they will hear a beeping sound when they call you)
Google Voice: allows you to use your account on your phone through an app. From my understanding there is not an app.
SMSBarrage: Allows you to send 100 txt messages to 1 person all at once.
SMS Commander: Allows you to send a txt to your self with a special code that turns off and on settings. EX. if I text "123456" from any phone to my phone it will turn on gps.
I understand that Winmo is Winmo and Android is Android; They are two operating systems with two different goals. This will not at all persuade my decision in getting a TP2 but it would be nice to be able to have a reference for these similar apps.
As members give me answers I will place them next to the equivalent android app.
Thank you
if this isnt a correct spot for this thread can I have the mods please remove it.

It works here in Los Angeles California in the States.
It only allows free 2 minute calls. If you want longer then you have to pay.

For Barcode Scanner, try i-nigma

Just about any GPS app does this. I think the latest HTC cameras save GPS info in the picture files too so you can take a picture with GPS info embedded. But I'm pretty sure every single one of the many GPS apps you can get will save your location. I use Tom Tom but there are tons out there.

You'll have to go to the website linked from the first post (or read through the thread) because I don't think the front page is updated.

SMSBarrage: Allows you to send 100 txt messages to 1 person all at once.
Try SMS Nuke. You can do both Flash SMS and Standard SMS .

Hmm, sounds like a cool program, downloading 7 day trial now. Hopes it works as advertise. If it does, I'll consider paying for it.
But is there a free solution out there?
I have been looking for such program for a long time until I found MagiCall.
It works smoothly. Althought it is not free, I think it is worth the money. I'll buy it soon.
try "call sms blocker", blocks unwanted callers as well as sms

I have the trial version installed on my 8125, and yes the program works when it keeps the settings that were saved. I have to keep entering the no. I want blocked. I don't think it's worth the money.

It is not necessary to enter the no manually. You can select them from the Contacts or the phone log history. And it supports wildcards * and ?
It has a feature that I think is better than other products is that it filters Outlook's categories. So that I can put unwanted callers to a special category and let it block them.
It has never failed during my trial period.

Voice Dialer HF

Hi
Has anyone tried this app on the Desire.
Voice Dialer HF
It works on the Nexus One (although you still need to touch the screen as there is no camera button).
My Nexus One has no camera button. How do I start VDHF?
Today, VDHF on the Nexus One may only be started via the icon, since the Nexus One has neither a camera nor a send button. As soon as Google releases an OTA update that activates the Bluetooth "voice activation" feature, we will add support.
It's the closest thing to proper bluetooth voice dialing available at the moment, and since my phone is due to arrive early next week I would be interested if anyone has used this app or will now try it if they didn't know it existed.
Looking foward to receiving feedback.

Is the inibility to download beacuse of the restrictions that are seemingly on the Desire at the moment or is there another reason?

For this issue, you can try button shortcut in the market! you will love that I think ;-)
Anyone on this app.
Is it a copy protected app or is it just not downloadable because it's not compatable. I haven't received my phone yet, and to be honest I am beginning to think I was too hasty in ordering it.
EDIT: INFO from Voice Dialer HF
# I can't buy any paid app from Android Market. I use a Google Hosted Domain.
* We have had reports that users signing up for Google Checkout with a Google Hosted Domain email address (Gmail using your own domain name) may not be able to download paid apps from Android Market. A workaround is to sign up using an email address with a standard Gmail [email protected] account. Discussions here and here.
UPDATE
Okay
I've spoken with the developer and the UK sales of his prodcut is suspended because initial voice recognition results with the product were not good. However when I get my phone he isprepared to let me try. I get the impression that it is tweakable. For me, a product like this is the difference between keeping the phone when it arrives, or returning it.
You should try Choice Dialer. I got it from the market on my Desire. There's a free version which will voice dial. There is also a paid version which lets you play an album or playlist by voice. Works well but still no bluetooth control as no voice activation seems to work by bluetooth. Other problem I had was that I could not choose a single song track by voice as I seem to have too many. Tony, the developer, has not yet yet been able to resolve this for me. Voice dialling isn't perfect but pretty good for me. You must speak clearly though.
Try it.
Choice dialer works fine as long as you set it up to work only as a phone voice dialer.
If you enable also the voice apps it often gets confused.
I have used it only one day but it seems like it can deliver also via BT headset.
fingers are still crossed but so far so good...
Well my experience after 1 hour is quite different.
I have 600 contacts, most with just a mobile number, but some with mob/Home and some with mob/home/work. I would say sucess rate is about 5% at the moment.
I'm also getting
Sorry!
'The application choice dialer free (process com.resounding.choicedialer.free) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.' more often than I get a correct call made. Okay Android OS is new for me, so it's unfair to judge, but this is awful compared to MS Voice Command.

I tried it.
It wouldn't undertand me at all!
Also after dialling it went off and I had to press the phone button to select it again for it to start listening again.
If I have to do that I might as weel just use speed dial..
Maybe I am using it wrong??
Try vlingo.

Choice Dialler Works fine for me even with a slight Welsh accent. Speak slow and it also picks up on contacts mobile, home or work number.

iPhone alarms not working on 2011... wat

We're not exactly sure of the cause of this fancy new issue affecting Apple's super cool iPhone line of cellphones, but apparently you've got trouble come 1/1/2011. According to an explosive stream of frustration-filled tweets on the Twitter microblogging service, when the clock strikes midnight, one off alarms will cease to sing out.

Come on guys, the alarms still work. To get your alarm to work just hold the phone with your index, ring, and pinky finger held down by your thumb.
Steve needs to show us how to set the alarms, obviously its user error.

But this one is easy to get around, text from google voice. You can't say text from another app because this is a bug within the subsystem that EVERY text app uses. Google voice uses a text system OUTSIDE of Android.

That's funny as I've never run into this bug with anything but the stock app so I don't believe that.

The ONLY time I've ever had an issue is when I select to delete sometimes it will select another person.
Never had that issue with any SMS app but the stock app.
Nevertheless it needs to be resolved.

[Q] Anyway to Speak The Caller ID

Couldn't find it by searching, is there an app or a hidden somewhere that will read the caller ID and then play the normal ring tone.
(i.e. "Incoming Call From <INSERT NAME>...."<plays ringtone>)
I wanted to try Ring Pro but didn't want to spend $3 on something that may not work.

Call Blocker

Just wanna know is there any call blocker app that when people call to my phone, i want them to hear a sound like my phone is in switch off mode? I dont want a rejected sound. I know every telco operator provide you with many different kind of sound when someone try to call you when your phone is in switch off, like unable to reach the phone bla bla bla. I wanted my phone to fakely appear offline or in switch off mode and on the other hand i can still play with my phone, surfing internet and so on.
is there any app or xposed module that can make our phone to do that?
Sorry for my english.
Um curious to know who you are trying to block??
Have you tried 'Call blocker' in xposed framework, maybe you can customise the block mode. Failing that Google (Store/Web) is your friend.

You can either use all volumes and vibration to silent (in which case people calling you will get the same feedback as when you are not near the phone) or you can use use airplane mode (more like when you outside of the coverage area or out of battery). I am actually all 3 (2 mentioned + blocking mode) depending on what I want to achieve.
For the first mode if you will use a program like LLAMA you can even set exceptions (and a different set of exceptions could eventually be set for blocking mode).

1. You can not hide from your telco, you are either connected to them or you are not.
2. If connected the telco gets to decide what other people hear after a rejected call.
3. If not connected (airplane mode) you can still be connected to WiFi and browse the internet.

AFAIK atm there is not such app that can do a job as you require. I'm also searching for this kind of app for a long time, but have not found yet. In the older Symbian phone, I've used the app "ACM - Advanced Call Manager" and it does this job exactly what you need.
If there was an app like that, it should work in the following manner: When there is an incoming call from a number in the blacklist, this app will answer the call automatically and then play the preset announcement (e.g 'The number you've called is not available at the moment, please try again later' blah blah...).
Atm the best call blocker app on Android I've used is 'Call Master', it is very powerful and flexible. But it doesn't has this feature yet.

And this is a smart-phone, not a dump-phone so it needs a smart-solution.

Yeah, Finally a very good and professional answer to me. Thank you my friend :good: I'll thank you later. Im limited to 8 thanks already. Yes i use this feature in symbian phones years ago before i take my step to android, like you said the app really do the job. But there are no apps that similar to ACM for our Android atm. I really wish they make one in a short time. For me, it's the best and a must have app for workers like me who dont want to give bad customer service to the clients by not rejecting their calls using samsung blocker.
Root call blocker. Used to use it on my old nexus s. If I recall correctly it made it look like you are out of coverage. But, as the app's name says, you have to be rooted.

Nope, it does not and it can not made it looks like you are out of coverage. The ONLY way this kind of app (if any) works is by auto-answering the call and auto-playing the announcement, that I have said in the previous post.
Root call blocker is just a simplify version of Call Master app, that I have mentioned above. They are from the same developer.
I'm currently using Call Master. Call Master is more powerful and more flexible than Root call blocker.
