Edite2: phone is now on boot logo i hope it works...
Edite3: Yihaaaaaaa he works again
Do i need to do a factory reset now?

Lol! They totally owned you. Correct solution is to pull the build.prop using adb when your phone is flashing black and white, remove the edits you made to it, then push it back. Reboot and its fine. And yes, you can use adb when its flashing black and white

hello...could anybody help me please...i was updating my htc magic to [ROM][32b] Official AOSP 2.2 OTA...but after i copied the update to sd,and i rebooted at the recovery menu i couldn't scroll to select the update.zip..it takes very long n i decided to pull out the battery n restart it again..unfortunately it went wrong somewhere n the phne keep on restarting again and again...i've tried to hard reset and all...but it won't works...help pleasee...
no replies yet...that's very sad..
If you can get to the recovery screen try wiping and factory reset.and flash a different rom. If that doesn't work. You can always do the unroot method by using the smping.mbh file or something like that. Look up how to unroot in google and you should know what I mean. Hope this helps

Well then you need to unroot your mytouch it basically puts it back in factory settings and you do it through fast boot. I'm guessing you have the original mytouch this how I did it

You don't need to get in recovery screen. Turn the phone off and hold the up volume button and the power button and fast boot the sapping.nbh file
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
What I did is:
Through fastboot I flashed SAPPIMG.nbh. It put my phone to the cupcake (1.5). Then I installed rooted HTC 1.6 update. After that I flashed any Rom I wanted.
Tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=586363
PS: This is the only working way I know since I am a noob too and finally got it going. Tried almost every rom in this section

So you can't put it back to stock? If you manage to get it back to stock by doing the same thing you did beforev you should try using a different recovery. aman-ra's recovery is the best for me. But I can't see how you can't get into the fastboot screen by pressing power and volume up,that's never failed for me. If its really impossible you should have tmobile replace it. I don't think they can tell you hacked it if they can't even get into fastboot.sorry if I took long to answer

Oops! I changed LCD Density and now will not boot up.

Hey Everyone,
So I was being impatient and wanted to change the Density of my LCD on my Nexus 7. I changed it from the stock DPI to 170 using LCD Density Modder on the Market. Ever since reboot I have not been able to get past the google screen when you first turn on device. I can get into bootloader as well. My bootloader is unlocked and device is rooted if that helps.
Is there any easy way to recover the device besides a adb, or fastboot method? If not, what are the adb, fastboot commands to flash the OTA image to device from my PC?
Thanks
Download the nexus root toolkit, it can turn everything stock.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
I have the nexus root toolkit, but don't you need the device powered on to put in usb debugging mode, etc? All I can do is hit google splash screen and get into bootloader, recovery.
There's buttons that say revert to stock, I believe those work in recovery.

Whenever I try to flash stock + unroot I get error message, "Windows cannot find 'C:\\data\gnexwug_DLnX.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
Im not trying to type in anything, all I am doing is trying to restore to stock.
did you make a nandroid backup?" i am goign through the same thing right now. I am goign to restore from backup.
To change the desinty, it must be manually done in build.prod i assume. LCD Density modder might not be compatible, yet.
edit: Crap, i cant boot to recovery for some reason :/
edit2: it seems the only way to boot into recovery now is from a ROM manager application. Ijust finished restoring using the Nexus Toolkit.
I finally figured how to get SDK going and restored via nexus root toolkit. Thanks guys!

Personally,
i booted into fastboot (all buttons if i remember correctly), then hit up the Tool Kit, go to advanced > temporary recovery, From there, i just restored my nandroid backup, or if you have any roms on there, just flash that.
You could do that, or once in fastboot and connected, you could just unlock, which will wipe everything.

Just using a file explorer (specifically, solid explorer but root explorer should also work), navigating to /system/build.prop, and changing the number ro.sf.lcd_density.
changing that particular number's easy, and the last app I tried somehow managed to make a second build.prop inside the same file. So yeah.
Don't forget to backup your build.prop (preferably externally as well, in case you need to flash it) before trying this. And/or make a nandroid.

Im not sure, i dont want to advise something that is wrong, but, no, it doesn't take extraordinarily long. How long has it been?
I would boot into fastboot again and try the other route (provided you have a rom on the device or hopefully, better yet, a nandroid)
If you're using the cwm recovery from the toolkit you must be plugged in to usb to access cwm from the bootloader menu. From there you can reflash whatever you want to fix it.

You need to connect your phone to your computer in the pink screen and then change the boot.img file.
To do so - switch off your phone, then hold the volume up and down keys and power on your phone.
You'll get the pink screen. Connect it to your computer and change the image file.

There are different versions depending on where you live, but that shouldn't matter.
My version was U8800 V100R001C00B136SP03CUSTC151D002.

this reverts you completely back to stock. You will lose all your data but you did back up regularly, right?
(edit) you only have to hold the volume UP key while plugging in the USB on a D801 to get into download mode.
Make sure you've disconnected usb when attempting to enter recovery. Hope the silence means you've sorted it out!

If you're trying to unpack the ROM try redownloading the rom.
You're saying that you have CM installed? I had this exact problem and I had PA installed.. it was a mess. I had to sideload the original ROM because to flash with that program your build.prop has to be the original information when you received the phone or else the program will throw a "different phone model"
Do you have the LG usb drivers? Install all proper USB drivers and try to sideload an original ROM.
BTW do you have any backups? Restoring also gets you out of this mess
never mind i opened the wrong folder thanks for everything guys it worked perfectly ^.^

Update on my g2.

First, this is the thread in question Link
I ended up using this method to unbrick. I can now boot to recovery mode, however, twrp is unresponsive or the touch itself is just off, as in I'll click something, and itll click another thing. I cant swipe to do anything, etc. If the screen goes off, a giant twrp lock pops up asking me to swipe, and I cant really swipe, it's just frozen. For reference, I used this method Link
Any ideas? You guys have been awesome so far, btw. Totally gonna donate if my phone gets back on, regardless .
P.S- My twrp version is 2.6.3.2
I think its stuck, I minds well go and sell it -_-.
