Hello everyone I tried the arc rom by rdnaar and when I click something on screen it shutsdown. Then I flash rendeiros rom its keep shutting down and turning on by it self. What should I do?

I hate to make this assumption but r u trying to flash ROMs to a captivate cuz ur name has captivate in it and u sent this message from a camptivate. Or is the captivate a second phone.
If u r using a x10, do u have the correct baseband and root then correctly flash the ROM to the phone? Hopefully u made a mistake around the correctly flash rom part. Please let us know here what phone ur using and then tell which steps u did to do this.

Captivate is second phone I do have rights baseband .54 with both roms it was keep rebooting itself so I flashed wolfbreak rom it worked. But really wanted to try those two rom. Does it have to do with I don't have my sim on x10?

That could be. I would try it with SIM in. If that doesnt work u might have to start all over by using flashtool and rerooting and stuff.
But first, before u flash a ROM, do u wipe the phone, all the caches, and battery stats?

How to open the SE Xperia Service menu?
1. Lock your phone
2. Press the menu button
3. Then press home, back, back, home, back, home, home, back.
Done

There´s a video on youtube where a guy does it, but he does it with X8 1.6, so I think you have to downgrade to 1.6 if you wanna do it.
It works with 2.1 stock S.E. ROM.

What if you install the ServiceMenu.apk on non stock rom phone, which is the app. for the service menu? Will it work? Anyone tried this yet?

I Need HELP!!!
I think I am in a bootloop or may be i am possibly using the wrong term.
I tried installing on of the custom roms found here on XDA for Xperia X8 but i guess i did something wrong in btw now phone come on by itself, shows the "Sony Ericsson" text and waits for about 8sec and then blank off and restarts again. on and on like that its a loop i guess. can anyone please help me out.. All i needed was a 2.2.1 OS on my phone but now i have ended up having none. Please help

I use both x10i and x8 I have successfully gotten my x10i off se hook but my x8 now, its rooted and yet can't run any tethering app on it. It says kernel not supported.
I downloaded the new build that was posted on x8 page asking to just restore using xRecovery but it says md5 error. This. Where I need help cus my x8 carried the internet connection and I wanna share it onto my other devices. Need help again.

You can fix md5-mismatch-errors with a special code in ADB, just search for "md5 mismatch" on Google, on the first site there´ll appear a site from xda.
click it and do what´s mentioned there.
And what new build did you download?
The one with an "A" inside or that one with the "C" inside (it looks like:
2.1.1.A..... or something similar) because most ROMs require the A-build, which you can download and flash with flashtool.
But I don´t get what you mean with "it carried the internet connection".
Please explain it more exactly.

I'm in really big trouble. I just wiped /system /data and /cache from xrecovery. I thought I would be able to clean install new android but now my phone only shows 'Sony Ericsson' boot screen . My phone is Sony X8. I'm really terrified right now. I couldn't think anything. I think now i'm dead. Please help me !!!!!

You need to download "Sony ericsson update service". Then follow the instructions. It will reset your phone and install the official software (android 2.1)
Stay calm, try flashtool or seus, then everything will be okay.
This is not a big problem, relax, calm down....
Can I use update service of sony even if i 've rooted my phone. Because my phone is already rooted.
Just relax,dawnload seus from sony ericsson,fleshtool or etc and evrething will be fine

solutions for that:
1) flash the stock ROM using the flashtool
2) Root it again, install busybox, and install this
this will help you to install xrecovery again
3) boot into xrecovery, factory reset / wipe data
4) flash the rom you want~
take out the battery and insert it back after 30 seconds..turn on your phone and press back button when "sony ericsson' pop out..
