What is SPL or hspl or digitizer?
Your digitizer makes your touch screen work,
If you don't know what hspl is then you haven't changed it so you don't need to know, is your phone under warranty? If you have done a hard reset (turn off and turn back in holding volume up and volume down and power at the same time) then its a hardware issue. Did you buy the phone second hand?

Sir after a massaive cleaning its good now in the morning i cleaned both screens and was the same thats why i was afraid on it but now its perfect back to normal

maybe there's something with your digitizer so it senses something that isn't there?
instead of hard resetting your phone, try installing an official ROM from HTC, even if it's the same as yours, it may or may not solve the issue, but never hurts to try.
Try removing your sdhc card and see.

Ok and where ill find a T-mobile Stock rom for HD2 from 04/28/2010 date and i never installed a ROM so if ill do a hard rest after i do it will it go back to the stock rom?!

If you've had a second-hand device, there's a slight chance the ROM isn't 100% stock. I was able to add some programs to my stock roms that stuck there even after a hard reset.. don't remember how though, and the software I used was on trial period, so I didn't bother learning much :/ and I'm not a developer/programmer as well, so anyone could do it.
a problem in the SD card is highly unlikely for such a problem, but it wouldn't hurt to check it for system file errors on PC.
If the problem is not there when you hardreset but comes back after you install a certain program then that one could be causing the problem. After you hardreset, make sure you delete cache folders from the card, such as "application data" also, delete "program files" since you're going to install everything back anyway. you can use an external card reader to delete them while the hardreset/upgrade is progressing.

It is Cingular's intention to make this available to the current 8125 owners. There were a ton of units sitting in a warehouse that needed to be updated, but the demand was so great that they went ahead and sent them out. One should be able to find the update at www.htcamerica.net when it is available. If not, I am sure that someone will make it available here.

I am not sure if anyone has figured out how to change the HTC boot splash screen. One can definitely change the second and third boot screen, but I have also been searching this forum to no avail.
I wish that someone had the original Cingular rom update .nbf file (not .nba). This might fix the problem. I will contact my Cingular friends to see if they have this, but probably not. The next Cingular update just might fix this, so we might just wait until April when they say it is supposed to come out (well, that may be May or June in corporate terms).

i got my wizard in the first days of release and it only boots right to one splash only. the one i put up in this thread is it. i found the htc image while surfing the /windows folder but i never knew some of these cingular units have multiple splash at start-up. mine goes from the single splash to today.

I cna say that my 8125 came with the cingular splash screen and you only saw that splash screen. No HTC first and nothing after (except the today screen of course.

you happy with rom 2.17? i was planning to wait a bit longer to see if cingular puts out our 2.xx in april.
I am VERY happy with it. I didnt know what I was missing with the push email (it would be hard to NOT have it now) an dI thought the device was "fast enough" but it is much quicker now. That being said you want to read the entire thread about this ROM first. I cant say that I have many problem except that push email dosent wake the device, it will play a sound when u get email but wont wake the device or vibrate, but I think the not waking the device is by design and not a flaw. The no vibrate is a flaw but one I can live with. (when i say no vibrate, i mean it wont vibrate when u get an email, all other notifications work fine *i cant speak for MMS since I dont use it*)

thanks for the review. i read the thread suggested. if i already get wireless activesync "pulling" email from exchange server within 3 to 5-seconds of it being sent, what is the benefit to "push"?

I am assuming that you are using the "old way" of getting email as they arrive. That uses SMS to tell your phone to go check for email, and it works rather well, however when it does this it wakes your device (every time you get an email) and that can really kill your battery if you get a lot of emails a day. It also charges you for the SMS, if you have a unlimited SMS package I suppose that doesnt matter (i don't cause I don't use it *that much.) So all and all Its not just the speed of the push email (but it is faster than the old way) but battery life, and no SMS charges that make it so good.

It should work with the Dash as it long as it came with the stock HTC Sliding Panel home screen. Just open up the wallpaper PSD in Photoshop and change that Ozone logo to the 3G Dash logo, if you want to.
The /windows folder shows up when you select 'Show Hidden Files & Folders' and uncheck 'Hide Protected System Files...' in your windows folder view settings (same on xp, vista, 7, etc.)

I've never used a non touch screen wm phone, and i just picked up this snap for the better half. i'm well versed in flashing my touch pro, but know nothing in the tips n tricks for this cdma sprint snap. can someone direct me to a tips thread for it, or possibly tell me if it is possible to flash this from the sd card as i can my tp? also, how do i get it into bootloader mode and how do i soft reset it? thanks in advance for any help.
Once in awhile my phone will freeze when I try to answer an incoming call. If I ignore the call, mute the ring, or don't press anything, it's fine. But if I answer it, it freezes and I have to take the battery out and turn it back on. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the phone or the ROM (Dutty R14). Anyone else have this problem?

If not then you shuould change the rom.Not sure if the radio could have something to do with your problem.

When I got the device it was brand new and I tried Laurentius L26 for a couple of days and I don't recall if it did it or not. I only used that ROM for about 2 days though before I installed Dutty R14 and I've had this ROM for the 2-3 months that I've had the phone. On both ROMs I've used the 1.14.25.24 radio which is, as far as I know, the one I need (Austin, TX).
Since you do not remember i would suggest to change the rom, and if the problem persists the maybe is not rom related.About the radio i do not know much about radios but you said that you have the right one for your region.I bought may HD from Romania and i am using it in Hungary, and i changed it a lot of times to different versions(your version 1.14.25.24 and now 1.17.25.09), and all worked,some better than others,but they all worked.that is why i do not understand this RIGHT region thing.

i think that you want the htc manila and not the new htc sense.
As most of the members say there is no rom that someone can say that is the best.
I myself tried maybe 30-40 roms till now, and i still do not know which is the best for me.

topix 3.1.2 is fast, stable, WM6.1.
I flashed a different rom (Energy rom with wm6.5 and manila 2.1) but I still have the problem where I can't answer incoming calls. Could my phone be broken? It's really weird.

I have similar problem with Diamond before
It freeze sometimes on calls and when i used iGo. I flash it with original rom and problem with calls was solved but it continue to freeze sometimes on iGo. I realosed that it freeze when batterey is low then 40% and works fine when it is full chaged. When I relace batterey with new one poroblem was solved.

It's very hard to test what's causing it because even if I keep everything exactly the same, sometimes it will freeze and sometimes it won't.
Could it be a problem with my settings, HD Tweak settings or something else, clashing with each other?
Or maybe I dropped my phone and broke some of the hardware involved in answering/ignoring calls?
How often it happens? Try to receive a call when it is on charger. If you have a friend with same phone just wasp batteries for some days as test. Try also to kill all not needed processes and see if it can help. Just discover the problem with more tests and statistics (started programs, free memory etc.)

I am 100% sure it will work on Sergio's rom. it should work on any rom that has the ATT dialer cooked in. I was having trouble uploading anthing earlier will post one asap. If you really need a SS before trying it just search for dusk dialer and have a look. The graphics all belong to the author i just brought them to us ATT people.

No it should not matter. non of the files are manila files. I will get with the chef and see if we can figure it out.

I'm running the stock Tilit 2 rom and it looks like this has an issue. Phone gets to the point of loading touchflo when it reports that manilla.exe crashes and then for some reason opera crashes two minutes later eventhough nothing seems to load on the screen. TouchFlo won't load, but if connected to pc activesync does respond. I'm hoping for an update also.
I have the same issues. I am using a stock ATT Rom.
Windows Mobile 6.5 Proffesional. CE OS 5.2.21849(Build 21849.5.0.63)
TouchFLO 3D 2.1.19183217.0
So far none of the dialer skins are working for me.
I'm stuck having to use the stock dialer.
Sorry guys with the holiday season i have really tied up. i will get an updated cab for you guys to try in the morning.
I haven't seen an easy step by step guide for getting Froyo.

Battery Level says 0%
When i first ran Andoird I got real low light from the device had to restart android 3 times for the lights to brighten up. Email is working cant get internet to work and battery reads 0% but on wnidows I have 76%. I would like to learn how to run anroid automatically just a noob at doinf this stuff. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Just reset your phone, by either using the button under the back, or hold down the power button in Android.
It's not really installed, more like running on top of windows. Only difference is, you can't close it and get back into windows, you have to restart the device.

cool thanks.
i tryed over and over to get this to work and the closest i could get was to the boot screen i could barely see because it was so dim. so i got my spare freshly formated class 6 8 gig sd/card installed it on it and now it boots up fine.
Is this suppose to last for a while or does it only work for a few minute. after 5 to 15 min it seems to freeze up.

Also I never installed the HSPL but it still works. Are you suppose to install it or is it just recomnended?
Still too buggy, random freezes, etc

Android for HD2 is not a ROM, instead its booted through HARet and you can run it without HSPL
This Android thing still has another month or two of hard work before it will run right. People are just putting their builds out there for other developers, to show what theyve accomplished so far, and to get people excited. We just gotta be patient and help the devs out.

Finally got it working on my ustmobile hd2 after many tries. This tut was the one that made it easy for me. Thanks to the poster and all those in the scene who have made it possible. I am so excited that we may actually have a stable build in the not so far off future.
I got this to work just fine after a few tries. But I have noticed still there is no way of charging the phone while using Android. And also noticed that it runs down the battery very fast. But hopefully someday soon there will be a fix for charging.

works for me but not chargin and sounds are not very high and when they will sleep the screen is littlt bright but the rest good although I hope in the future continue to work full so great job
