Magics thinks its 32A (Recovery Issue)

Hi,
I got a Vodafone Magic (UK).
It was on Android 1.6, so I reverted it back to 1.5 using the .zip file on theunlockr's site (After trying a failing at using eMagi's/Neoblade's .nbh file). I then tried to use Recovery Flasher to flash a new recovery, yet everytime I tried to flash it, I would only get a red vodafone screen where my recovery screen should be. So then I checked the fast-boot screen where it said all the details for my phone. And it read Sapphire PVT 32B HIP S-ON H which as you all know is wrong as (as far as I know) all 32B magic's should be G.
It was definetely a 'G' before yet must of somehow changed when reverting to android 1.5.
So after failing flashing a new recovery (from Recovery flasher/ Terminal Emulator/ Fastboot) I tried 'fastboot boot <amon ra recovery image>.img' - H version and sure enough it booted.
So my problem is that I know i've got a 32B handset which thinks its 32a.
(BTW I am in the process of rooting). How do you guys think I should proceed? Also can you tell me what precautions to take to make sure I don't brick my phone?

I think your problem is due to your 3.x radio.
Try to flash a 2.x radio, either 2.22.19.26I you can find in HTC's developer website, or the newer 2.22.23.02 radio you can find in the G1 dev forum.
DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK RADIO COMPATIBILITY WITH YOUR HBOOT

To get your Magic fully 32B - you must flash official RUU for 32B Magics ... or ...
this nbh for UK Vodafone.

p.s. nbh for UK, so you probably need create goldcard as you have Vodafone NZ

I used the RUU_Sapphire_HTC_Europe_305401.exe to flash my G2 (vodafone,32B), and the phone became a brick,it started only "ruu", then i tried many Offical RUUs,included

cant help myself but am having almost exactly the same problem, fastboot works but everything fails signature check and am unable to boot the phone into the OS and recovery wont load have tried for a month now i reckon in total, i gave up after 2 weeks initially and now have spent a further 2 weeks trying to get it to work, my
have tried flashing via Goldcard but keep getting "Main Version is Older"

There exist a special goldcard --"factory reset card"?( or some other name,someone called white card) , i have no guide to build this card. Engineer in HTC factory use the card of this kind to flash the phone. Maybe this would work...
if i can't get it work this week,i would spend some to repair it using JTAG way(flash the nand directly).

there exist gold card and white factory sim card. gold card any one can create now, but this factory white card (its a sim card) i emulated with my clip www.xtc.hk

my device screen shown hexagonal on chips,like your device ,stuck on RUU USB,
last time i ask anybody here what i can do..i didn't found ..
nothing we can do as long as we have a root,
if you have a root you can
fastboot oem rebootRUU.
or tell us your
fastboot oem -h ,screen..
Now i can fix my phone by myself. i got JTAG ,and built my own ,
just only JTAG can works,God save my phone..

Man you dont need jtag!!!Dont pay for this situation!Just find an original Signed RUU and flash like nothing happens.Or create goldcard from another android phone.!

His phone is not MT3G v1.2 or Fender, his phone is common HTC Magic 32A, so he need create goldcard and flash RUU again
His first attempt was wrong cause every official ROM checks CID on phone. If phone's CID is not equal with ROM CID then update will fail. RUU updated hboot and radio and failed at CID-step and locked in RUU-mode.

Bricked HTC magic 32a

Sir,
I guess that I've bricked my HTC magic phone. actually it was working fine but after when i flash Hboot file named (ISO-8859-1__STOCK-HBOOT) on it.
my device stop functioning not any key is working phone its not coming up in hboot loader screen by pressing vol down key+power key, not even in recovery mode. by pressing home key+ power key.
but if i press vol down+power key its not showing any hboot loader screen but if i use command prompt after that and use fastboot devices command its shows the device like in machine language
just like this:

here are the details of my mobile. is there any way to fix this issue?

Sir i've also created gold card on my htc magic phone when it was working properly i've the image of gold card and the same card 512MB micro SD card which i used to create the gold card before but i dont know how it will work on the phone as it is not going into bool loader or in recovery mode.
please help me. i heard that if i got correct RUU file for this device i can troubleshoot the problem but in stock rom no any RUU file is working on it.

sir i've already tried the fastboot commander but the commands are not working on my mobile:
i've tried researching online regarding bricked phone. i got the information that if my phone is able to work in fastboot mode. then there is a chance to flash it with stock rom RUU.exe
but i need the exact stock rom not any other rom ruu.exe file is working on it. can any one can help me to provide me stock rom of myTouch 3G Fender LE.

As you are Fender owner, please ask T-Mobile for official ROM. May be they will give it to us...

[Q] Sapp310 32 A Can't exit Ruu mode

I used to rooted and unlocked this phone. And installed a rom. Then I think I installed a wrong HBOOT or a radio and it bricked. I tried to debrick but it didn't work. Then I put the phone aside for a while. Now I want to make it work again. I did a lot stuff on it that I don't remember. Now phone starts in RUU mode.
I'm a noob so I don't know every commands or how these things work so I followed some guides but I've got errors every time. Is my phone bricked totally? Is JTAG necessary? or is there a way to get out from RUU mode and install correct HBOOT and RADIO? or if those correct than what am I doing wrong? This is a My Touch 3G T-mobile. And it says Sapp310 under the battery and there's an A next to barcodes. I don't know if it means 32A or not.
