RSD lite issues - Atrix 4G General

So trying to flash my sbf back to the completely stock rom, for the life of me I cannot get RSD lite to detect my phone. I've tried it on 2 different computers, both cannot see the phone. I've spent about 2 hours going through everything to try to find an answer but so far nothing has worked. I've tried RSD lite 5.0 and 5.1.3. I've tried the 4.9 drivers and the 5.0 driver. Any suggestions?

Do you have usb debugging checked in your development settings on your phone?

Yes, I've set it to debug and tried to get it to detect while the phone was on normally, then tried to get it to detect it when the phone was at starting RSD Protocol Support, both don't see it

Tried a different USB cable perhaps?

Try one of the rear USB ports, sometimes the front ports don't provide enough power.

Tried every USB port and a different cable, still getting nothing.

Hard reset. Don't bother with any of the blur crap. Just pull battery out with
Run rsd
Plug cable in.
Now power up the device.
Worked for me.

[Q] Anyone have good SBF instructions?

I downloaded all the proper SBF files (VRZ_MB810_2.3.15_1FF_01.sbf) and RSD Lite the drivers updated and when I go to bootloader and hook up my USB it does not show the "connected" status in RSD lite. Tried to reinstall and everything. Any thoughts or tips? I would like to get the latest update. I was rooted with Z4, but I unrooted and tried to attempt this. Please help.
Thanks.
Did you change the settings to media connection and enable usb debugging?
Yes usher debugging on and I tried all of the selections.
I would highly recommend using linux to sbf as you don't have to worry about getting the correct drivers. Instructions are at rootzwiki.com. I just did this 2 days ago to get the OTA and it was very painless.

I ran into the same issue, but realized that people were using mixed terminology for two different things. Make sure that you're powering on the phone by pressing Power, Volume Down, and Camera buttons at the same time, and then wait a second or two, and release them. Then you should have some white, DOS like text show up on the screen. If you're doing the Power + Home button and pressing search button to bring up a blue text screen, that's not the right procedure for SBF. Hopefully that's all it is.
Are you using RSD Lite 4.8 or above? Try rebooting your phone and your PC. If that doesn't work, try another USB port and/or cable.

Download RSDlite 4.8
Download the latest SBF
Switch your device to PC mode
Turn on debugging mode (settings>applications>development>debugging mode)
Launch RSDLite (make sure device appears in window)
Select SBF (make sure it's the .sbf and not the .zip you downloaded)
Click Start
Device will switch to bootloader and begin the flashing process and will reboot when it is complete. RSDlite will say PASS.
One thing that most people forget to include in posting sbf/rdslite instructions is that you NEED the Droid X USB drivers installed. Get it from Motorola here and your phone will then show up in RDSLite.

Yep this is exactly what I did. RSDlite does not recognize my phone. I am using Rsdlite 4.8 also.
Just tried another different computer and its working. Very odd. Well anyway I hope to report back that everything went good. I will let you know.
Make sure you have the Moto drivers installed.
All is good. Got it to work and it worked flawlessly.

[Q] Extreme Brick from sbf fail

I just flashed cm7 port by tezet to my MS2 which had the german Vodafone firmware.
Then it failed to reboot, I tried again and again with volup and voldown.
Then I put it into bootloader mode with keyboard x and power on.
Installed the Moto Drivers MotoHelper_2.1.40_Driver_5.5.0 and RSD Lite RSDLite5.4.4 on my Windows vm,
connected the ms2 to it and let it flash the wrong sbf, i clicked the froyo one and didnt notice until after. It said done.
Now it does absolutely nothing (no screen on, no rsdlite connection) except when plugged in on usb, but even then, just the white led at the usb port is on. Nothing else.
May this be a hard brick?

Have you tried flashing the right firmware through RSD Lite?
Can you get into bootloader mode?
Sent from my MotoA953 using Tapatalk 2
I solved it.
The battery somehow failed to be recognized, but was definitely full.
I switched it with the battery of another MS2 and back.
Then I could get bootloader again.

[Q] The RSD doesn't recognize the device

I have a problem that lasts a long time,
I tried to install ROM on my device (Motorola Dey-standard)
And that I have installed and I have not changed recharge the battery, and the battery is over, and no Rom installed.
Editor:
I found a way to charge the battery at the end, to someone who really helped me iandroid forum.
Now there is another problem,
When I connect the computer to burn an SBF to Shiitkn my situation,
The RSD does not recognize the device,
I installed appropriate drivers and then the software that matches drivers I installed RSD and RSD does not recognize the device anyway.
But but but the computer also identifies,
When I connect the device has a USB connection sound through the speakers (and when I take out the USB has USB disconnect tone),
this message:
***
And because I have Windows7 so I tried Lthkin all the updates, Shuweindos offered me,
And the same result. By the way - I tried it on three different computers (all three Windus 7) and the same result in all of them.
I'm really desperate and frustrated and do not know already what to do ..! = \
So if anyone has any idea or suggestion ..?

Try a different cable and make sure you're using the drivers for your os arch i.e 32 bit or 64 bit. Also use the latest rsd version, I fixed it that way

Can you try to boot again in Custom recovery, Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache. Also, if your phone is also not booting, I think your battery is dead.
Take out battery and charge it on a friends phone or borrow a battery for a while.
RSD shall see your phone when in bootloader mode, then debugging on or off doesn't matter. Try another USB port, uninstall and install moto drivers, should work
Hope this will help.

[Q] Milestone 2 shows up as unknown device, even in bootloader

Hey Guys,
I'm having trouble with my A953 Milestone 2.
I installed that awesome JB rom and I am now trying to get back to stock.
For some reason my milestone shows up as a UNKNOWN DEVICE via USB. I can't seem to charge it when plugged into a wall charger.
When booted into jellybean it SAYS its charging, but isn't
When I connect the Milestone 2 to my computer and run RSD Lite to flash a new rom I can't seem to get my PC to recognize the device correctly.
Any ideas?
Thanks very much for your help guys.

Are you able to enter bootloader mode on your phone? (Power on while holding the "volume up" button. If that doesn't work, try pulling the battery and re-inserting it while holding the power and volume up buttons.) Then try connecting to RSD Lite.
If all else fails, you could try using the sbf_flash tool in a linux environment. See here and here for guides.
If you don't have a computer with Linux, you can run it from a usb thumb drive with this. If you haven't used linux before, Ubuntu is probably easiest to use.

That's strange. Does the Bootloader screen say "Battery OK, OK to program, Connect USB Data Cable"? Do you see anything else in RSD Lite besides "Unknown Device"?
You could try using USBDeview on your PC to try to figure out what sort of device your PC thinks your phone is. If the phone is in bootloader mode connected properly, you should see "Motorola Flash Interface" listed under the connected devices, and if you double-click on it, you'll see more information that might help with troubleshooting. What driver version do you see there?
I've attached a screenshot so you can see what it's supposed to look like.

Ok, what do you see in USBDeview?
Try in another pc or in a virtual machine of Windows XP, or check in which usb port you're plugging on the cable, in my computer with Windows 8 for example, I have 4 ports on the back of the cpu and 2 on the front, the front ones don't work to use RDSLite but they work for mass storage and debugging without any problems, but for RDSLite I have to use the back ports

That's not good. If your phone is going into bootloader mode but USBDeview isn't picking up any signal from the USB, it may be a hardware problem. How did your phone get bricked? Was its USB port working properly before that?

Hmm, the safewipe script isn't supposed to touch the recovery partition. Can you get into stock recovery? (Take the battery out, then put it back in while holding the volume down and power buttons at the same time.) If you can get into the stock recovery, do a full factory reset, then try flashing an sbf again.
