Hi all, I'm stuck again with my hd2, I have been using Android and totally love it, however my brother who also has same phone asked me to change his from win6.5 to android. I retied but it wouldn't even install magloader, I remember I had the same trouble when I first tried it on mine.
I spent a while repeating the steps I'd taken on mine and now I'm stuck with win6.5, I HATE IT and want android back.
My problem is, no matter what I do, I can't get the magldr screen to show up when I boot with the power off key pressed.
Please can someone help me, I've looked but can't find any help
is magldr actually properly installed on the handset?
Alright, we need more information:
-Radio version?
-HSPL version?
-How did you install Magldr
there are tools like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136644
that can help a lot, since it will install most of the things needed for android.

HELP!
So what happened? I wanted to install android on my HD2...so I first tried installing MAGDLR and it did...afterwards I only got a white screen with "HTC" on it...I tried reinstalling MAGDLR (didn't work) and soft resetting etc...nothing.
So I did the following: held volume down+boot the phone...I get the tricolor screen...So I figure I try to install the correct HSPL so that MAGLDR can be correctly installed (it's installed correctly now, but it just doesn't do anything afterwards..so I figure I need another HSPL).
So I try installing HSPL, but it says I need SPL 1.42.000...I need RUU_signed.nbh for that...Now I'm trying to get an officiall rom from the HTC website...I enter my serial number and it doesnt recognise it)...Long story short: AAAAAAAARGH!
What I need now is atleast a working windows mobile Rom...which I can't get from the official website since apparently my serial number isn't correct:\
Ok...an update:
Thanks to some XDA-people and a lot of googling I managed to get windows mobile back on my phone.
So I installed the correct HSPL (2.08) and installed MAGDLR...but it still doesn't show the black option screen so I can't install my android
good to hear you find a solution for WinMo
to get to the magldr menu, keep pressing the power button till it shows.
did it work?
Yes...I feel so stupid now :\
On the other hand...I've got myself android now
Hello, I am in need of some help. My htc hd2 got stuck on the MAGDLR loader and everytime I try to load android it goes through all steps, tells me it completes, Phone restarts, and then goes back to the MAGDLR loader. If somebody could get me out that would be great

It would help someone help you if you gave more info on the problem... like what exactly are you trying to load? Android from SD or nand? What build? What steps does it go through and complete?
first take the SD card out and back up your data i.e. sounds, photos, etc
1. go into bootloader (the screen with the red background, you can do this by holding the power on button down and the volume down button both together at the same time)
2. install task29 you can do this from the bootloader screen
3. reinstall magldr
4. reinstall a nand ROM
How to finish with that stcuking thing !
Hi,
I hope the following may help you :
The most important thing to notice is to flash a Radio ROM that supports 576RAM (don't ask me... :-D ).
The Good news are that the HTC Leo Radio 2.15.50.14 will.
So you can flash that radio right after running HSPL3.
MAGDL1.13 should work for as it did for me.
Good luck.
The post above mine seems to be the best route good luck.
Well Im stuck with my replacement brick, HD2 and I the only thing that really kept me from throwing it out my window was that I had WP7 on it. Sad stories aside, I stumbled my way through getting it on there. I really had no clue what I was doing other than clicking everything I saw, so Im as much a noob now, as I was then. Maybe someone could slap me in the face with a couple of links directing me to what I need installed, please. I have some files on my desktop still, but I've deleted some of the others; making them useless. Also, if you could throw in a dual boot on android and WP7, that'd be freakin' amazing.
If I were you I'd:
1: Boot the phone into bootloader (power on while pressing volume down key)
2: ensure HSPL 2.08 is installed
3: Perform task 29
4: install radio 2.12.50, 2.14.50 or 2.15.50
5: install MagLdr 1.13
6: Flash one of the new NoDo custom WP7 ROMs.
Use search function and you'll find everything you need
Hey guys, just bought a T-Mobile US HD2 online, it is running WinMo 6.5 stock, how do I install WP7? After consulting countless guides, I've concluded that none of them helped. Do I need to root the HD2? What steps do I need to take to install a WP7 ROM? Which ROM is the best performing? Please get back to me asap

Steps of installation
1) Install HSPL2(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433)

3) Install MagLDR (Ver 1.13)(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618)this will erase wm6.5
4) after magldr install you will have magldr options(using vol up and down), go down to usb flasher(call button to select) and flash the rom
4) Install WP7 ROM

Stuck on second splash screen after flashing WP7!
I have run WP7 even before on my HD2 without any issue except for it's unbeatable appetite for battery. Recently I flashed ICS but ran into some camera and 3G network issues, so now I am trying install Pdaimatejam's ROM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833.
I followed the following steps.
1. Installed WinMo6.5
2. Installed MAGLDR 1.13
3. Ran 10. Service on MAGLDR and did UseLast24NAND, and then cleared the SD MDR
4. Flashed the WP7 ROM on USB Flasher mode
It says installation successful and reboots the phone automatically...after the first splash screen it goes into say booting WP from NAND and that GO GO GO thingy and then the second splash screen pops - HTC in white on a black backgroun - and stays there. Won't load the WP7. I have flashed several times, I have even flashed without the SD card plugged in. But the same results. On one occasion I did Task29 too but the results were the same.
Any ideas for me?
did you have HSPL 2.08 installed?

yes i had HSPL 2.08 installed...have had it since Jan last year (I guess). But since you asked, I reinstalled HSPL 2.08 about an hour ago, did a Task29, installed MAGLDR 1.13....in short I repeated the entire drill on the tutorial again but still no luck...stuck on the second splash screen.
Help me out, this is my primary and also the only phone.
Is there any SD version of WP7?
My volume key membrane is broken and replacing this will require entire flex to be replaced which will cost more than US$50.
Sorry if my question sound silly but don't have much idea about WP7

no... it's impossible... Wp7 must be flash on NAND and use sdcard as memory... this concept is on all WP7 devices
I see, well thanks for your comeback. I guess I will have to spend another US$ 40 on this phone :-'(

Hey guys,
a friend of mine wanted to get Android onto his HD2, so he decided to screw around with the MAGLDR. He said he flashed something on there, but the phone is stuck on the HTC logo.
I managed to get into bootloader mode, I annotated the picture of the screen I get!
Can anybody help me, I would be glad to communicate with any human being
Best of regards!
That bootloader is fine.
Magldr wont start if the radio is wrong, flash radio 2.15.50, reboot, magldr will start. Its usually step 2 after flashing 2.08.hspl in all the guides, and it mentions it in the magldr thread.
Thanks, samsamuel! Really helped, I'm running ICS now
Thread can be closed, btw!
