[Q] HTC Trophy Calling Problem please help - Trophy General

I have purchased HTC Trophy and it have some problems when calling
Sometimes when i call it makes the sound like Busy and ends call and reception bar shows 0-1 then goes Full, but number is not busy and does it fault of Operator or Mobile Phone and can anyone help?

Only issues I've had with my Trophy were while driving into a tunnel and losing a call due to bad reception.
You need to test if its your provider or the phone's problem. Get a SIM card from another operator and test it out, call different numbers in different locations... if you can't just ask to exchange the phone.

Nope... but I've had some Android devices get very hot.
Try and remove the battery off your Trophy and see if that helps out.

Remove battery, face North and shake it 3 times... place battery back into phone and turn it on.
See how it works out.

Not saying it won't ever again get hot... remove it and try it out. If it keeps getting too hot, I'd suggest taking back for a swap/refund.
How is the calls issue ? Solved, still giving you problems ?

The only time my Trophy gets a bit too hot to notice, is when I use it in my car... lighter charging and music playing.

Touch HD shuts down when I go to a low signal area! Please Help.

(Edited) Hi I just got a brand new Touch HD yesterday and like the title says: when I go to an area where there is no signal or a low signal, the phone shuts down and will not turn on from the power button. I'm on the Tmobile USA network. A couple of times this morning I went to look at my phone and it was completely off, and it wouldnt restart until I took my battery out and then put it back in.
The only things I have done to the phone since I got it was install: CorePlayer.v1.3.0.Build.6213, tnyynt SD TuneUP.cab, HD Tweak 0.5.4_English.cab, GoogleMaps_compressed.CAB, and KlaxonSetup.cab (an Alarm clock application).
I also noticed that since I got the phone, everytime I Power it on, I get some red numbers down at the bottom right hand corner. Is this normal??
If anyone out there has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it as I'm a Noobie.

Yes it's normal, it's the Radio/Protocole version of your Operating system...
For your problem, did you try to "hard reset" your phone ? Perhaps one of your registry modifications...
No I didn't try the hard reset yet. I thought maybe someone experienced a similar problem, but I guess I'll try the hard reset.
Ok, I did the Hard reset today. I went to a low/no signal area (my daughters school where I loose signal with every phone) and The same thing happened. The phone shut down and would not turn back on until I removed and replaced the battery.
I even found another old thread with other people having the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=468134&highlight=shuts (LOOK AT POST #3)
I called HTC USA tech support today, and they said since the phone wasnt released in the USA I would have to go through HTC Europe. So I'm hoping that someone here has heard of this issue and knows something.
Well if you have the HSDPA/UMTS disabled(prolly cause you're in the USA) then try to re-enable them and that will hopefully get rid of the restarts in the low-to-no signal areas. Hope it helps

The same thing used to happen to me but once you enable the HSDPA/UMTS like Svegetto said your problem should be fixed
Ok guys I enabled HSDPA/HSUPA and went to the low signal area and it did not power down! I wasnt able to stay in that area very long, so I'm going to test this out this coming week when I go back to that area. I will make sure to post my results here, as this might help others in the future. Thanks Guys!

Same here man, it's been happening since last few days...the call at the other end cuts after a few rings but i don't get anything on my cellphone. I'm using onyx rom. I'll try today by changing the rom as i think it is the problem with his rom 4.16 .
I hope the problem goes away.
I used to get the problem a lot with my Cruise no matter what radio I used. Also on my Diamond earlier on. But have never had the problem on my Touch.
I'd suggest trying to downgrade/upgrade your Radio rom to a different version (or even the system rom), hopefully that'll fix the problem, if not. It could always be an actual hardware issue, might need to use that warranty.
lemme downgrade the ROM...coz..i m using the latest versions
I have the FUZE and was missing a TON of calls and having even more dropped calls. The reason was because I was having a SIM card failure. Calling customer support they were able to fix it right away. Send the updated data the sim card needed and all I had to do was soft reset the phone and I was good to go. I havn't missed a call or had any dropped calls since. Before I was probably missing 5-10 percent of my calls and 80-90 percent of the ones I was getting would get dropped anywhere between 2-20 minutes into the conversation. I really bugger... My suggestion is to call your customer support and have them run a network test on your SIM which should take them all of 20 seconds to diagnose and fix the issue.. if that's it!
good luck!
@appoos : have you tried upgrading your radio rom to ur current custom rom.. 3.21.90 is the best in my opinion n most ppl aswel! give it a try.. hope it'd help out!!

I have the same difficulties, and the site seems to still be down. Any thought anybody?
I've never been able to get the phone finder to work over the past 6-7 weeks that I've had the phone . Though I was able to get my phone to ring remotely twice but phone finder still didnt work... strange :/
I haven't been able to get the sense dashboard site working at all, & I've had my phone for a few weeks.
I have deleted and created new accounts a couple of times & I tried a hard reset too...
I think the problem rests with HTC :/
Hopefully they get it sorted ASAP

I would love to just make it ring remotely
could you please tell me how to make it ring cause whenever i click on ring button it says "Unable to connect to your phone to make it ring."
Doesn't work here either.
@dolphin87 have you added your phone number?
Do u turn on ur GPS?
There is never anything new on the sense website.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
it worked with me twice the first days, but now only able to ring. I locked it. says locked, but isn't... and no location. written to HTCSense, told me the server's down. so we'll have to wait. Not very serious

phone number is written right with +********
and the gps is on as well
Thanks. solved my problem.
on computer I changed my phone number to +............
on phone I cancelled my HTCSense account and re-put it again with the complete phone number (+............) and everything is OK.
The problem was with incomplete number, it would ring making you think your number is OK,
and on other hand they ask you first the country and then your phone number, making you think you don't have to put the country prefix.
Now Everything is working : phone finder, ring and lock it
of course I didn't try to wipe it.... Thanks again Dolphin87, you drove me to solution
Still not working

Try : cancel your HTCSense account on both computer and phone , redo it putting your entire complete PHONE NUMBER (+your-country.........) for example if you are french : +33 661 310 XX XX.
for me it worked! and still works after 2 days. WAOU!
For a top international company to have such a crappy outdated website (in both design and function) beggars belief .
Can't get anything to work for me, won't ring and says my phone finder isn't ticked, when it is
Phone number is entered with the proper prefix
Thought it might be down to me having a custom rom, does it work with stock roms ? You other guys experiancing problems running custom roms or Kernels ?
Cheers

The other tabs are still not appearing for me

HTC Sense:remote 100% process

Hey, has anyone else had this HTC Sense:remote process eating up the whole entire phone?
I restarted my phone for the first time after 3 weeks and then I get this always displaying. I had to kill the HTC dashboard something process to get rid of it, but it still caused some knock on affects to the cell standby process.
I then looked at the log files and it was saying a lot of null pointer exception with cloud syncing errors. Are HTC doing something to HTCSense.com possibly?
The only way I solve this is to disable HTC sync completely (which is fine as the dashboard doesn't even work) and then it is fine. Just wanted to know if anyone else having this issue.
Also what I have notice now, my cell standby is eating more of my battery up then it use to after I restarted my phone. I use to switch of data wifi before I sleep and it only drain 3% of my battery, now I am getting 10% which I know isn't right.. Anyway else getting this problem?
Deleting htcsense.com account gives your phone a horseload of energy.. atleast it did for me..
Don't ask me why we have to do this, I just made it on recommendations..

It's because it brings the processor to 100% and it also consumes ALOT of power ..
Yea I agree... on the 1.32 version HTC sync was alright. Whenever it sync-ed it was short and finished within 10 seconds. On the 1.72 version the sync icon is always on, or last a good 5 minutes before it stops.
I have disable it completely for now... hoepfully in the gingerbread update they would have finally fix this as it is gett really annoying... but yea the cell standby has been good as well and now it has return to 3-4% drainage overnight.

figured that too. what I meant was that I have no idea what exactly causes the major CPU-load..
Yea same, when I looked in the logs, it kept coming up with error in connection to Sync Server... and it looked like it was just looping. But I don't know... something very very wrong in HTC Sync LOL
