what size is your clockwork partition, also do you have and ext set up on your sd card and using a rom that doesnt need it????
Also a good formating of your SD card cant hurt... some issues can be solve this way
use this and do a full format http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/
Could also try fix permissions, clear cache, clear dalvik cache from recovery?!
Hope this helps
I have am trying my best not to format my SD card as there is sensitive information on it that I cannot get back as I am out of town with no way to backup my info, also how do I check my partition size? And I have fixed permissions in every app that has that ability still no luck, is there a way to partition without formatting SD card?

Ok so I installed an Android NAND Rom on my HD2, this is my 3rd ROM I have tried, all the others were fine, but with this one I have no internal memory, it shows up as 0.00b (completely empty) and I am trying to figure out what I can do to fix this problem.
I tried switching back to old ROM's but that did not work. I have also cleared my cache on my phone, that did not work either, anything you guys can do to help me?
Is there anything I can do to use my SD card as my default memory? I have a 16GB card but I can't install apps onto it. I can't install any apps at all. Nothing works.

It may be lame suggestion, but try to install stock WinMo rom, and again MAGRLD and different version of CWM_Recovery.
But first try only whit different version of CWM_Recovery.

+1 on this answer, @OP,sounds like you have flashed a large cwm partition layout that has taken up all the space for the system partition, a 400 one perhaps?
Same problem

Same issue here. Installed MIUI 2.9.29 on HD2 Leo. Internal memory shows 0.00B, which cannot be true. I did a complete wipe before installing ROM. Actually, after installing I did also factory reset/wipe cache/ wipe Dalvik, but nothing helps.
Searched for solution on this site and elsewhere, the only plausible advice is "clean reinstall", which is cumbersome for me.
Thanks if you share your thoughts.
EDIT: I used 150MB partition.

Hi Guys,
I wonder if you can help as this is now driving me crazy.
I have my HD2 running NAND MDJs Gingerbread Cyanogan mod 7. Its been great but the problem I have is that on moving games to the SD card they never then run again constantly force closing. I know you are aware of this problem and am aware the solution would be an ext partition.
I 'believe' the device is rooted but am not 100% sure btu when i try to run z4root it sticks at the 'attempting to apply root' phase and never gets any further.
So I want to create an ext partition preferably a nice large one 1GB perhaps BUT the MAJOR issue here is that my USB port is dead so I have to use an external battery charger this means I can't reflash and start again I am stuck now with this rom which is fine cos I'm giving the phone to my gf, but she will want to play games.
Please help....sorry for asking a fairly newb question. I need a simple explanation of the steps I can use to fix this.
Cheers
Adam
have u try rom manager to push the fix permission
it worked for me
Yes I have tried fix permission it did nothing
Can someone tell me.how to do an ext without USB access. I.have a card reader to transfer stuff onto the SD. So can do things.that way.
Cheers
Adam
does anyone have an idea on this...as it's driving me insane
How to make ext partition around 1 gig in size with no USB to PC functionality?
please
Cheers
Adam
From CWM.
Just reboot your phone into recovery, select Advanced > Partition SD Card .
Good luck, Adam.
Ok so the problem im having is when i install an android rom (tried 5 different ones) the phone (EU LEO) suffers from random freezes which then either needs a manual reboot (battery out and in again) or reboots itself! :S The wierd thing is that if i flash WP7 to the phone it works like a charm! Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks, Ben
Edit: Tried a task 29, no luck, could it be an sd card issue after WP7 formats it?

You could try another sd card.
If wiping data/cache/dalvik cache (task29) doesn't work.. There is not that much to say..
Our hd2's are getting older :/
Definitely need to format sd card. Wp7 completely changed partition layout and types. Since you are running a eu hd2 many roms also require a 1gb ext3 or 4 partition for the system to write properly or for a2sd support. One other thing is to check your radio, I know there is a wp7 radio for running windows 7 on hd2 and that is incompatible with android. If you have this radio, flash the latest stock radio and reinstall android
Thanks for the replys guys, tried the sd card didn't work now to try the new radio! Wish me luck!
Which radio do you guys suggest? I'm not sure which one to use!
Cheers
Did you try formatting and repartitioning your SD Card again?. A glitch in the partition will cause random reboots. Have you tried just running Android on SD on its own as normal?(no WP,no partition)...if the same builds you are trying now works fine without any partitions, then its definitely not your phone nor could it be your SD Card...still you might want to try a class 6 SD cars and see if that solves it
I unlocked the SD card after wp7 using the storage unlock tool, then I repartitioned it using CWM recovery. Would you recommended another method of doing this?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Hello there,
first of all excuse me if some of my phrases are wrong....
I use CoreDroid 1.7 NAND on my HTC HD2
I installed it normally and i worked 1 month with it everything okay till today.
I downloaded some apps etc...
after a day i opened a game and it didnt start (black scrreen) i wait for more than 5 minutes but nothing happen so i put out the Battery of my phone.
After i switched it on The First screen of CoreDroid appears. It asked what my provider is etc.. the normal questions and than it sets up the phone again.
After this i saw all my App are missing.
If i check with the Filemanager the Apps are still in Folders.
my contacts are gone. i had to connect with Internet on my HTC account to gett'em back.
And very important : there is a Message on my Phone :
=> Storage is almost full make sure that your phone has more than 512KB free space <=
THis is happening the 2nd time now. Last time i deleted anyway all to upgrade to 1.7 But this time i dont want to loose all my settings.
I hope i could describe my Problem well....
Also some informations for a better solution:
- Everytime i rebott it the first screen appears.
- On Settings my SD card appears.
- Message: Storage almost full.
I dont think the SD card is OutofOrder cuz it is shown there Free space etc ...
i use an 8GB SD card.
Thank you, i appreciate any help and if someone can ask others please do it i ust need my phone asap .
Thank you guys.
Oh Cmon Guys, please help me has someone connections to Sergio . ???

I don't know itf it will help, as I'm no user of this particular distribution. Here's some generic solutions:
- Coredroid seems a big build, so it would be advisable if you create an ext partition in your SD. You can do that from the recovery app or rom manager. Usually a 1GB partition is more than enough. Be aware that this procedure will erase your SD card, so backup!
- Try to make a clean flash of your phone. Task29 to flip the bits to 0, proper repartition, etc... Before, that meant to download 3 or 4 separate apps but nowadays you can do that from a single tool. Search for HD2 Toolkit in the NAND Forums.
- While doing the clean repartition, make sure to follow the needed requirements of your particular distro. Coredroid (as most sense builds) doesn't seem to follow the standard 150 partition, and it may not fit there.
Hope it helps.
Hey thanks for ur help, i already have installed my CoreDroid on an ext partition. and Flashed with Task29 after 1 week the problems discribed came.

Please remember for every problem thereĀ“s a solution....

Hey guys. I have a problem with my HD2 Device. My first android rom was NexusHD2 Beta1 like 4 months ago. It worked and i had no problems but i decided to install Miui instead of ICS. The Miui rom was really fast and smooth and didnt crash. Now i wanted to get back to ICS with HWA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860).
I did a clean installation but the rom crashes randomly like within 2 minutes. I have no clue why it crashes i will tell you know how i installed it and maybe i forgot something and you can tell me what i did wrong.
I used HD2 Nand Toolkit and used Task29 at first. Then i installed MAGLDR and recovery with 200mb and 5mb cache. Then i opened CWM and installed the Rom. After that i installed Darktremor A2SD like it is said in this FAQ:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wik..._CM9_FAQ#How_shall_I_install_these_scripts.3F
I hope my english is not too bad and you can help me to figure out why my phone crashes .
I took a look at the ROM and the Apps2SD in the XDA Wiki. Are you sure you followed all the directions in the installation instructions of the ROM. You may need to delete the Android folder from your SD card as it does say the following in the ROM thread OP.

Also in the Wiki it says you have to format your SD card. So you may need to format your SD card also.
Yeah could be a problem but i even tried it without A2SD and it still crashed :s
btw thank you for your response!

If it still crashes without the Apps2SD then delete the Adroid folder from your SD card. I went back and edited my first post a little so you may have misssed me mentioning that.
Oh god it seemes that it works now! Its - like everytime - that simple but you Sir are my hero! :'D im really thankful ..
