Copied from the S II forum, but also a relevant question here, as both devices were announced to have this installed at release (was not installed on the S II)
Does the 10.1 have the Cisco Anyconnect VPN on board already?
If its already there - how is it working?
Thanks
I'd love to know this as well.
Not installed, nor is it in Samsung Apps. Maybe it will be added in the Touchwiz update?
Is there any VPN client onboard?
I use VPN to access some sites in USA or UK so it is a must for me in a device like that (+ I would love to have an option to store password for VPN)

Honeycomb has VPN built in and it has worked for me. There is no way to store password.
Can you check if this app would help:
info about this here: http://www.hideipvpn.com/2011/03/android-vpn-password-problem-solved/
What you need to do is to go to Android Market and download either 5VPN app (for free, but that involves more clicking) or 1 VPN (for this you need to pay, but it will connect you to our Premium VPN servers just with one click. Both apps have a lot of very interesting features, like: auto reconnect, saving password or even widget for your home screen.
And let me know?

Not what I (or many others) are looking for.
We are not looking for anonymous surfing, rather the ability to connect to corporate systems via VPN that use group authentication.
Anyconnect has been released for iOS, is reported to work well, but promises of the Android version have been unfulfilled to date, even though Samsung has stated in their press releases it would be included on their Galaxy 10.1 and S II devices.
Well, I on the other hand use VPN to connect to different sites all over the world.
I do not have an android tablet but I would love not to be forced to enter password every time I connect - this is why I would like to know if it will work
But can not test it myself :-(
I see nothing on the downloaded manual about the expected Cisco AnyConnect but there is a VPN setup section.
Even the Amazon.com order page from here says:
Security Suite Ideal for Business Use
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is compatible with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files, making it ideal for handling your business needs as well as your entertainment. An enterprise-friendly tablet, the Galaxy Tab includes a suite of security solutions. Relationships with SAP, Exchange ActiveSync, Cisco AnyConnect, Sybase, and Cisco WebEx make it possible to operate efficiently, confidently, and securely.
....not sure "where" it is unless it's planned for update for very very soon.
Cisco themselves even mentioned it on their Facebook page. I wasn't sure if I was just missing it since I have a LE Tab, and maybe it's just on the retail at this point? I checked out a couple review videos to see if I could spot it in the app tray but didn't see it, so I don't think that's the case. I asked them on their Facebook post about it (it was specifically for the 10.1 that they posted about it), I'll let everyone know what they come back with. Here's the link to their fan page, the post is a few down the page: www facebook com/ciscosecurity (sorry, can't post links yet so you'll have to fix the URL)
Well, hopefully when I get my Tab in hand next Monday I will be able to evaluate "if" it's stuffed in there and if I can get it working easily. If there is no AnyConnect support within the 30-days it may get returned The initial reason for the purchase is to support Cisco AnyConnect. I am confident we will see it soon....
Folks, we should have some good news for you [soon] on the AnyConnect front. Stay tuned ;-)
Cisco ASA 8.4(1) and later supports Android mobile devices 2.1+ using native VPN client.

any update on this?
thanks
I picked up my GTab 10.1 yesterday morning and immediately checked for the AnyConnect client on it. As others have mentioned, it's nowhere to be found. I called Samsung mobile support to find out why it is not available even though their support site plainly says it is available.
Possibly the most painful call of my life...I had to explain to the CSR multiple times that I was not having issues connecting to a WiFi AP. I then had to explain what VPN stood for and why the existing four VPN types will not work for my company network. I spent an hour and a half on that call and got nowhere. In fact, it left me feeling insulted as I was continually questioned as to whether I was sure I had a valid WiFi connection and a bunch of other useless questions I had already addressed. As an IT professional, I had enough when the CSR told me my problem was that I needed to be at my place of work to connect to its "unhidden, non-private WiFi name". Obviously, they had no concept of the purpose of a VPN connection.
I finally asked for a level-2 or higher tech who could assist me. I was placed on a "brief hold" of 12 minutes in which case I was promised a phone call back within 24 hours. I am still waiting. If I found out any useful info, I will certainly pass it on to you all. Frankly, I am tired of companies making shallow promises just to market items for sale. The AnyConnect feature is the only reason I bought the GTab 10.1. I already have an Asus Transformer, but desperately need the AnyConnect client for the tablet to be useful for my work purposes.
I hope we see the feature soon.
The AnyConnect client will be available and announced soon. When it is live in the Android Market, we will announce it on the Cisco Security blog , Cisco Security Twitter and Facebook. Thanks for being so patient, this is a high priority item with the engineering team but we need to make sure everything is good before we release it. NOTE: tried to post links to those resources but the forum software blocked me, sorry!

Your use of "we" seems to imply you work for Cisco. Is that a fair assumption? If so, can you comment on which Android [stock] devices the AnyConnect client will function on?
Good news
The promised good news is here. AnyConnect is in the Android Market.
Would post a link but forum will not allow that....
Initial support for Samsung Galaxy S/SII and Galaxy Tab devices, more to come.
Now I need to figure out why after installing it I get the msg:
"Could not obtain the necessary permissions to run this application. This device does not support AnyConnect."
Then I try to execute it from the Launcher or get help from the Troubleshoot button and get and FC:
The application AnyConnect (process com.cisco.anyconnect.vpn.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again)
This is a 100% stock GT 10.1. Rebooted but no luck yet.
So it's "here" but...
Now I need to find a resource for help....
So the Market details for Supported Devices does not currently include the GT 10.1. It may change but it seems this initial release is not for us yet.
Odd it says it supports the GT 8.9....lol, got one handy?
Current Market Details:
SUPPORTED DEVICES:
AnyConnect is supported on the following devices:
- Galaxy S model GT-I9000 (Gingerbread Maintenance Release)
- Galaxy S model SC-02B (Gingerbread Maintenance Release)
- Galaxy S II model GT-I9100
- Galaxy S II model SC-02C
AnyConnect is also supported on Tab 7 running Android 2.3.3+ or Galaxy Tab 8.9 running Android 3.0+.
Note that the Android images must be official carrier or Samsung provided versions, and not home-brew or third-party builds of Android.

Hi,
I am in a situation where I really wonder how I will be able to use my Samsung ( or any other android phone) to work ...
I have the feeling that for everything else I will be able to forget the iphone ( I am waiting for some app on android market for aussie users but it's coming soon) and for many features it will be way better than the iphone ( music without itune, video and game on this awesome screen ....)
Regarding the business I need to be able to do something simple : read a mail and reply/forward it
For the moment I have not been able to do so completely.
For instance, if there is a screenshot embedded in the mail, when I reply or forward the mail my apps will either
*put the image as attachment ( the best case)
*let an empty box and my screenshot will not be anmore in the mail
*create an unreadable mail with xml node everywhere
*put the whole mail into an attachment.
Even for the display of the mail receveid only few app will display the screenshot without changing it into an attachment ( it can be annoying if there are several screenshot with text around in the original mail....)
For the moment I have tested the stock samsung app, HTC work mail 1.00.024, K-9 , touchdown, HTC on froyo stock app ...
Do you have any idea if Android will be one day able to do what windows and apple do for years ??
I thought Froyo would be the answer but I am less and less confident on this ...
PS : I knew when I bought the Samsung that the android 2.1 was not supporting exchange but I thought froyo would and that iterce app would also
PPS : here is an example of what my mail looks like when forward with android app :
<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:word" xmlns:x="urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:excel" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeowerpoint" xmlns:a="urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:access" xmlns:dt="uuid:C2F41010-65B3-11d1-A29F-00AA00C14882" xmlns:s="uuid:BDC6E3F0-6DA3-11d1-A2A3-00AA00C14882" xmlns:rs="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:rowset" xmlns:z="#RowsetSchema" xmlns:b="urn:schemas-microsoft-
and of course all the text around the screenshot has disappeared
Now my colleague is using Froyo on the Desire and he is still not able to do what I want.
Samsung (the conglomerate) is converting their entire mobile infrastructure to include android powered (specifically the Galaxy S) devices. I'm not sure if the proprietary apps can be ported/moved to other phones or companies but it seems to show that there is alot of confidence in using android for businesses.
Things it will include from what i gather are:
VPN to corporate network.
Access to corporate mail (POP?) from wifi and HSPUDA (secured connection licensed from mobile provider).
what's wrong with installing 3rd party software to connect to outlook/exchange ?
Android doesn't have out of the box support for exchange yet, if that is what you are looking for.
The idea of Android is open source, and a big wide market for all programmers to make some profit by release software that will fill the gap, to gather whatever the people needs.

I am not sure you have read my post correctly ?
I have nothing against installing a 3rd party app that's why I said that I hoped that a 3rd party app would support exchange entirely... but there is no 3rd party app which does the job as the iphone !!!
That's why I tested so many different app
Now one moretime when you say : doesn't support yet ... did you read my post ??
I have tested Froyo and it 's just as bad as android 2.1
So now I have to wait maybe android 3.0 for a potential spport of exchange, is that what you meant ??
I am looking at getting the Acer Iconia tablet. It would be something my wife and I would share around the house (i.e. in the living room so both of us could use it when we wish). So how does Android Honeycomb handle multiple users? I assume we wouldn't each have a 'logon' ID? But I am just wondering how my wife could keep her bookmarks, email, etc on it along with mine. For instance, I might come in, use it a bit to get email, browse the internet, run some apps, etc. Then later my wife might pick it up and want to do the same thing, but use her email and browser settings, etc.
How is that handled in Android?

hi,
in the windows world we would call that profiles, as far a i know this doesn't exist (yet?) at the operating system level. I would love to have it.
Firefox mobile has a 'mobile profiles' addon but it didn't work correctly for me.
I could switch account but not switch back.

Especially considering Linux has no issue supporting multiple users.
Well, shucks, I guess I won't be getting a tablet. I don't feel like buying two of them...
I found out that even the iPad is the same way! Bad design for tablets, Google and Apple. (Although I love my Android phone - that was why I was looking at the Acer tablet!)
Provided you're not having an affair, and email would be the main thing you'd want compartmentalized, you could just use two different email apps or no?
The current state of tablet OS's is really smartphones writ large. They're (again, currently) very personal electronics. There are a handful of Windows-based tablets which should support multiple user profiles etc, but they tend to suffer from GUIs intended for larger monitors & smaller pointers (single pixel precision mice and/or stylus.)
While linux certainly has no problem with simultaneous users, much less multiple profiles, keep in mind we're dealing with systems which have problems dealing with expandable memory (again, only at this time.) At least Android has SD card support without an external add-on.
Given enough feedback from users, eventually tablet OS makers will design in multiple user profiles, probably starting with apps & profiles loaded off memory cards or from "the cloud". But I wouldn't honestly expect it to happen until tablets became very thin internet clients.
For now the tablet market is still very much in an early adoption phase, no one's really sure of the "final" shape of tablets and their usage at this time, but coming at them from a "more portable laptop" design goal could lead to what you're looking for.
TLDR: Not yet aside from Windows tablets but eventually, maybe
This could be an interesting dev project for someone. Isn't it just a case of having an app that would remount /data depending on the selected user? Granted root would be required for it to work but it certainly sounds feasible.
I certainly don't have the time or skill to do this myself, but I will throw this around in the dev forum to see what people with actual skill and knowledge of Android/Linux think.
I saw something about multiple user handling.... It is in a "how to" document posted by L.t.r. consulting. (I'm to new on XDA to be allowed to post outside links, so you have to Google it)
It is made for the Nook Color device but could be at god starting point.
Email should be no problem. The stock Email client will allow you to link to multiple Email accounts, so as long as both have individual Email accounts, they can read them seperately. They would not be able to keep each other out of thier Email since it is in the same client. Also, if they use WEB mail, they can then read thier mail without allowing the other on thier account. As for browsing, I believe that some of the browsers allow grouping of links, so each could setup thier own group with thier own links.
This might be the answer until multi accounts are added natively to the tablets.
http://www.enterproid.com/index.html
I use my Iconia together with my wife and I just set up an extra gmail account so she can read her mail alongside mine. It's important not to want to hide anything from eachother in such a setup though. I also found a twitterclient that allows to setup multiple accounts (tweetcaster). So, in the end it's doable but not practical.
There is an issue on the Android bug tracker which you can star to help raise awareness of the lack of multi-user support
(I can't post links which is irritating, but...)
code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15030
The Viewsonic Tablet has multi-user functionality.
I would have thought it would be stock in all. Maybe it's in a custom ROM. I'll gop look.

Honeybomb does not have proxy support, but it seems that Motorola has added proxy support for the Xoom (as Samsung has done for the Galaxy):
http://jeftek.com/1975/how-to-web-proxy-settings-android-honeycomb-tablets/
Is there any way to grab something from a Xoom tablet and bring this functionality over to the Iconia (pretty much as we did with Asus for MS Exchange)??
I'm amazed that Android made it to 3.0 without including that. Or is it included in 2.2/2.3 and just not 3.0 yet?
It is not included anywhere. There are some root apps that do it and some manufacturers have added custom support (samsung, motorola). AOSP does not do it. Is crazy!

Hello,
I have just acquired, there is a few days a tablet ACER ICONIA TAB A500. I am very satisfied, especially that I come from the world apple and The iphone. I take a lot of pleasure to discover the universe Android. Now, I am as many, I regret the lack of parameter setting proxy for the WiFi connections. I tested numerous software and I decided to keep "ProxyDroid" who allowed to activate automatically the proxy according to the SSID. Very practical, but the connection worked only for the HTTP accesses. If I comprix indeed "Android Market" uses a connection HTTPS. And today, I had the right for an update of ProxyDroid (Version 1.6.3), and miracle, "Android Market" works very well, without any modification...
To you to make out a will and to say to me if we have finally a solution of this problem of proxy, shame to Google not to have taken into account a request of the community, so evident.

I bought my TF as a toy/media consumption device but I'm finding more and more reasons to use it for work. Especially after enabling ad-hoc wifi to connect to my HTC HD2.
With 2X RDP (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tux.client&feature=search_result) and the citrix VPN client (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.citrix.Receiver&feature=search_result)
I have the power of my virtual servers at my finger tips.
Polaris office is passable as is the browser and the office talk app keeps me "present" on office communicator (https://market.android.com/details?id=ocs.android&feature=search_result)
Who else is using their TF for work and what pros/cons/apps/tips have you discovered? Anyone got any war stories yet?
No war stories yet. Considering droid/tablet apps for the fed govt. The platform is gaining ground now that the feds are contracting with Google for cloud services.
That's strange, I didn't have to enable ad hoc WiFi to tether with my Droid Incredible (running CyanogenMod 7.0.3)... but it was terribly slow and the Market was basically unusable. I wonder if that's why?
Using Splashtop (well, MyCloud) inside my LAN for work purposes... No war stories, really.
I have apps for web development (mostly putty and some text editor with ftp access) ready in case I have an emergency situation when I'm out of home. But never had to do it yet. It wouldn't be easy because I don't have the keyboard dock yet.
Working in IT I've found myself using my TF101 for 75% of my work. With tools like LogMeIn, Wyse Pocket Cloud, Overlook Fing, andSMB, SharesFinder, ASProxy and Connect Bot I can basically do everything I need at my clients right on my tablet as long as they have a WiFi AP.
The only thing that is seriously lacking is serious Office document work. I've tried the 4 major Office suites, and yes I paid for all of them, Docs2Go, Office Suite Pro, Quick Office Pro HD and the included Polaris Office. From my experience, Polaris Office is hands down the best of the bunch overall and its good that it was included in our TF101's but even with the best android tablet optimized office suite editing and generating serious documents is cumbersome at best. It takes me almost 4 times the amount of time to copy an invoice, rename it, edit it and send it out even with the keyboard dock.
So I still use my ThinkPad for serious office document work, printing and to connect to devices via serial ports like Cisco and FortiNet network devices.
Now if devs can get something like Ubuntu to dual boot on our tablets then the Office document problem is solved with OpenOffice and if drivers can be made for USB ethernet and serial adapters to work with Honeycomb then I might just sell my laptop.
I had purchased the TF for 1/3 play, 2/3 work, when on the road - thinking I could use it as a secondary monitor for my thinkpad using idisplay. Fact is, idisplay's refresh rate is worse than I thought - it is virtually unusable (mouse moves way too slow), but still I'm using it to view my emails, to-do list, or specs for a project...
Yeah I use it all the time, I didnt even buy it for work reasons, but I found that it makes my job a lot easier
I work as a marketing assistant and its my job to document the production and make production instructions to the products my company produces.
So I bring my TF down from the office to the warehouse and make articles on our internal production wiki and take pictures. I couldnt use a regular laptop since I have to be quick and agile and walk around and between the machines we construct.
Working with my TF works SO much better than running up and down with papers.
I write a lot for work, so I am planning to use it as soon as I can get the docking station (not readily available in our parts yet).
How did you manage to connect it to an adhoc network? Or did you find a way to establish WiFi tethering in the AP mode? I am still at loss for this issue.
I would love to start using mine for work but this current company moved away from Citrix & Webapps (which work on android) to using App-V & SCCM instead... which done.
That plus the fact of Lotus Notes instead of Exchange = Fail. I'm stuck with a laptop for the moment
I also want to see usb to ethernet , then maybe my company will give it a go... but why is typing this reply soooo slow almost 1 second delay
I am kinda using it for work as I have my corp email account setup and my EVO does native tethering.
I have a blue tooth keyboard coming tomorrow for typing longer emails/documents.
I just need to get VPN Connections working for my offices Cisco VPN so I can RDP to servers and desktops via 2X.
I use Dolphin HD as my web browser and it does a great job over the stock browser.
Citrix client - how is your experience
How is your experience with the Citrix client?
I have it installed since I got the transformer with intention to use to open our work applications. It works, but it takes extremelly long to establish the connection (5 minutes) until the application is fully opened. Its not the network problem. I hit the same Citrix server from a laptop and use the same wifi, it works reasonably fast.
The issue is only with the connection time that is so long, once its connected, it works pretty well.
If I hit it from our internal network, it runs like crazy-very fast.

The initial connection for an application is something about 15 seconds to our unif. Once it is running, there is no more lag. You might want to look into it with your IT department and/or citrix. 5 minutes seems much to long!

Hi Kovla,
you need a modified version of the file called wpa_supplicant - then push that file to the right directory on your TF and set the correct permissions.
I followed these instructions and they worked perfectly for me - I used the third method listed. I have a rooted device - I've also done this using root explorer instead of adb. the modified file is attached to the thread.

I have noticed some typing lag in certain situations. Email and documents have been fine but typing into the browser sometimes gives me a small slow down. This did seem to get a little better with the firmware updates and then a little better again when I flashed Prime 1.4 - but that could be unrelated.
I take mine to work since we have software on our network that doesn't allow you access to certain sites (based on keywords I believe). Simply tether to my Inspire 4g and away I go!
Yes, I use mine at work...
to listen to tunes! Will also be using it to test HTML5/CSS3 websites for Androib tablet devices, and that other iOS (shudder) thing when I get some down time.

!!! updated 12/28/2012: add code to detect and use mobile hotspot to enable sharing among devices !!!
I'd like to invite people to participate an open testing session for app "PeerDeviceNet - sharing thru WiFi and WiFi-Direct".
It runs on android 2.2 and above. It is free at google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xconns.free.peerdevicenet
I have done tests using Nexus 7, Samsung Tab 2.0, Kindle fire(1gen), Galaxy Vibrant. I'd like more complete coverage of devices and vendors.
It supports 4 kinds of device-device connections:
1. for devices at the same wifi net: start PeerDeviceNet at devices simultaneously will allow them find and connect to each other automatically.
2. for devices which are all wifi direct enabled: from system preferences, you can setup wifi direct group connection; PeerDeviceNet will pick up this group info and connect devices in group automatically.
3. if only one device is wifi direct enabled: you can use PeerDeviceNet to create a softwareAP/hotspot at this device (PeerDeviceNet->Connection settings->Create wifi direct hotspot), other wifi devices can use generated ssid and passphrase to connect.
4. for devices with mobile hotspot, you can use mobile hotspot to connect devices and enable sharing.
It extends android's "share/send" feature to allow sharing of the following data:
1. photos/videos (single or multiple) (gallery), audios(astro, solid-browser, or other browsers)
2. web pages (browsers)
3. contact info(Contacts)
4. pdf, word docs (astro or other file managers)
5. apps (google play)
I'll highly appreciate it if you can spend some time installing the app and try out some of the above scenarios. If you encounter Force Closure, please post your device info, android version, or ROM info.
Thanks!
This works fantastically between all of my devices, ranging from Ginger Bread, Honey Comb, and Jelly Bean.
WiFi hotspot also works very well.
This really is a handy app, something like this should definitely be implemented into base Android. Sharing files between devices that have NFC is a breeze, but legacy devices can be troublesome. This is an excellent solution for both worlds.
downloading
looks good
Installed and gave it a test drive.
Works perfectly on our Galaxy S III, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Xperia X8, Packard Bell Liberty Tab G100 and Wildfire S - after adding the devices manually. For some unknown reason they don't see each other, though the local LAN has no restrictions put into place.
Hi, I´ve been testing this between SGN2 N7100 (Stock Rooted) and MyTouch 4g Slide (CM9.1 R8) and it works great (no FC etc.)
I have several questions though:
a) I´d like to buy you a beer. There is a paid version but that one is far behind the free one in updates...
b) chat works great (as long as I have signal. but within a flat its mostly great). Will there be an implementation into the full version?
c) if I buy the full version, will you be updating it?
Thanks! Keep it up!
EDIT: seems to me that your app fights with anyconnect VPN (even if that one is running in background I get FC from anyconnect and superuser permissions asked all time... I´ll look into the behavior a bit closer if I find some time) else everything works good.
EDIT: after reinstall of anyconnect it works flawlessly. Keep it up!

Agree with that. It's quite painful to close an app by going into settings instead of hitting some button from the home interface.
Testing now
Downloaded and tried it..
I have a GS3 that it seems to work on, and a Nook color (the original one) from like 2 years ago running CM7 that it just gives a black screen on. I can use the regular wifi connect from the Nook and connect to the hotspot from your PeerDeviceNet but there's no sharing of data back and forth, unfortunately. If the app worked on both I'm sure it'd be much better, but I don't suspect the older Nooks will be a big percentage of your users.
issues related to peer discovery

Installed and gave it a test drive.
Works perfectly on our Galaxy S III, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Xperia X8, Packard Bell Liberty Tab G100 and Wildfire S - after adding the devices manually. For some unknown reason they don't see each other, though the local LAN has no restrictions put into place.

Thanks for your feedback. The failure to see peer devices in LAN could be related to one issue i fixed in the latest release; please give it a try.
Also PeerDeviceNet's "search and connect" is based on peer-peer "pairing": no one is acting as server and waiting for other clients. All participating peer devices must start search at same time or in same short time period so that they can find each other. If one peer finished its searching when a new peer starts searching, the new one cannot see the one just finished. It is for security reason.

a) I´d like to buy you a beer. There is a paid version but that one is far behind the free one in updates...
b) chat works great (as long as I have signal. but within a flat its mostly great). Will there be an implementation into the full version?
c) if I buy the full version, will you be updating it?
I am working on refactoring code and bug fixing for the full edition. Thanks for your feedback.

compare to file expert

I have been using File Expert to do similar things... perhaps I don't understand this program's full benefits or potential. FE also connects via bluetooth and runs both a web and FTP server.

File expert is a powerful browser with many nice features. PeerDeviceNet is a totally different creature.
As a app, it plainly extends android native "sharing" protocol (send/send_multiple) to connected devices, to allow you share content from one device to another. (As a framework, it provides the components and runtime to support connected mobile apps). It has minimal GUI to support connecting devices and monitoring send/recv sessions. It has strong support for connecting multiple devices, run multiple concurrent send/recv sessions, and running in background.
So normally you will use your favorite apps to browse/view content, and when you want to share the content with another device, you hit "share" button and PeerDeviceNet will be there to help connect to other devices.
So you can use Astro file manager or Solid explorer with PeerDeviceNet to share files across devices similar to file expert.
Also PeerDeviceNet allows you share contact info, web links, or apps from google play to connected devices.

There is "shutdown" button for that : "Connection settings" -> "Shutdown". It will shut down all background services and clean up notifications.

Mmm, too many button presses to get there. It would be easier to have a "Shutdown" button in the notification shade. Otherwise well done! I tested sharing files between LG Optimus 3D (p920) and Xperia Mini (st15i) connected on the same LAN. Everything worked fine.
Can one add a function to "tether" a hotspot? but from wifi and not from 3g?
This would be really awsome.

Yo so I got the full version. The lite is good but wanted to buy you a beer... Managed to transfer 4gb of data in few minutes between my and friends Samsung phone (unfortunately in 3 steps because of the data amount limit). Very useful, the chat also works good.
When will we see full version updated with chat and unlimited data transfer?
Thanks

Not sure this will really help. because when connecting to PeeerDeviceNet hotspot, we already use wifi connection, so why not just connect to external wifi router directly?
