When I rotate my phone it automatically rotates but extremely slow.
I just got a new Epic...my last epic rotated instantly. Not this one.
Anyway I can change this?

Just watch the video I made:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKECs764ayE
Take it in and get it replaced. You shouldn't have to go through all the trouble to fix this yourself. There's clearly a hardware problem or some sort of glitch with the majority of epics. I had my epic with the slow rotation replaced. With the new one I never have the problem. I can flash all the roms I want and won't get the slow rotation glitch.

If it were a software issue wouldn't all phones have the problem? With my old epic I could fix the auto rotate but google sky was still messed up. My new epic has no issues what so ever. I'm not saying I know anything, Ill be the first to admit I don't.
worked great. thanks man!

No electronic device is ever created equal. All fail rates are based on a law of averages. Mine will always glitch out differently than yours, but most likely in a familiar way to myself.

Yep.. seems to be a known issue. Honestly, I have already returned to JG5 again. There aren't really any benefits to me for using Froyo yet.
Unrelated info, it's stuff like this which is why companies don't publicise their beta programs (because otherwise they get flooded with hundreds of duplicates of the same bug report).

That's true, but the fact is most of us probably bought it soon after opening night, and would still again.. I would.. GPS will get fixed, but anyway, my point is, if they officially open the beta program, they need to officially accept bug reports for them. That's probably why they instead leak firmwares instead.
Yeah think jp3 is also too lag for me!

On JG5, i noticed, voices on the other end of a call are sounding very distorted over a bluetooth connection with a car-kit.

I read that there are some severe battery drain problems on JM2. True?
What are the benefits over the stock OS? I don't see anything new, and switching in between home screens is glitchier. I am running 1.8.3. Also wondering where the webtop option is? It's not coming up when I plug it in, nor am I finding it in the app drawer.
Well.... i don't believe GingerBlur is a different OS. As far as i'm aware, because of the locked bootloader, that's kind of impossible at this point. I believe GingerBlur is basically just an extremely modified version of the stock OS to make it look as much like Gingerbread as it can.

Well I completely understand that, but what is the rave about? My friend told em to keep getting it, and people seem to love it on here, so I figured why not? However I am not seeing anything different, just a glitchy ass homescreen, my webtop mod isn't working, and my contact pictures aren't in my text messages LOL.

First of all, please don't shove words in my mouth. I am thankful for GingerBlur, and whoever is making it is doing a really great job, I am just wondering why my home screens are really running like crap. There is nothing wrong with it. I understand it's still in beta, I am just wondering if it's my phone doing it, that's why I posted here in the first place and wondering if it's normal.

I haven't had these issues. Are you running the webtop hack? What do you meaning the home screens are 'running like crap'. We need more information.

It's a bit glitchier than normal. Like they aren't as "smooth" as they are on stock when flicking left and right to switch between the home screens. Also the webtop hack was installed before installing gingerblur, and it said it was included in the 3.1 update. I just don't see that option when connecting HDMI.

I don't recall exactly, but I think the animations may be set to none. Checkout Settings>Display>Screen Animation and see what it's set to.

Yeah they are set to all animations. It's not that big of a deal, just was wondering if anyone else is experiencing that. I'm just bickering I suppose.

Personally speaking, I don't really care for the fancy animations. I more like my raw power and conserving battery life.

nvm reinstalled the webtop hack, working great however the homescreen shouldn't be lagging the way it is. I am uploading a video, it's not showing how slow it is though through the video. maybe I flashed something wrong in my phone.. i just rooted from stock without wiping anything, and updated to gingerblur. i keep seeing steps to flashing to gingerblur and reflashing the sfb first.. , but i didnt do that, maybe thats the cause of my "laggyness"?
UPDATE (Video with lag, it really looks smooth in this video for some reason, it's really only half that)

its unlikely it will get fixed but even with the bug you dont really notice it unless you play games, everyday use isnt really effected.

ahaha, yes it is a work around, but it provides a solution to a problem, just doesnt fix the original problem which is drivers.
This isnt going to get fixed unless someone can either get HTC to make us a new one or to give us everything we need to make our own.
youd be much happier learning to work around the issues, apart from the frustrating battery issue the HD2 works great, just as long as you dont play multi touch games.
Gentleman your prayers are answered! Easy initial flash, a lot of patience, ... Oh did I mention this updates THROUGH ZUNE until 7712 MANGO =D

except that doesnt fix the multi touch bug
it's not fixed, we can't play games like sonic (with joystick on the left and button to the right to jump) because if we go right and we press the jump button, it stop going right
What it says in the title. I lost all input from the orientation sensor after the official upgrade (from 2.3.6 unrooted to 4.0.3). I tested it in a game and in the Gallery app.
My phone is a I9023.
Anyone suffering from the same issue?
LOL, scratch that, a reboot solved it.

can also confirm!
what we need to find out is what you guys did that broke the auto rotate feature and fix it
because it works fine for most people
Mine works fine on I9023.
maybe try switching orientation off and on again.
had the same problem before on another rom and a cheeky re-flash did the trick.
So I wanted to ask this question on the actual forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204963&page=36 , but my status as a noob on XDA has prohibited me from doing so.
In the discussion on that forum, Zojak and N_otori0us_ discuss possible ways of overcoming the headphone overheating issue.
Zojak said
After reading some other threads I've installed the older coderz 3.0.64 kernel and my device no longer heats up with headphones plugged in. It does however no longer wake up when pressing the touch pad. Small price to pay I suppose.

I have trackpad wakes. None are made by me, I just found them along the forums.

Try that, flash it through recovery.
I also found a tp wake for sense 4.0 roms. And yay Dev Host is working now!

Nope, It doesnt really break anything.Just a little unstable, so you will have random reboots

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it. THIS ACTUALLY WORKS! I love this forum and all the help that people offer on it. I'm going on a road trip with my girlfriend and I wanted to make sure that we could use my phone for music without it overheating to the max. I know albinoman is updating this ROM, but until then, this totally fixes the headphone problem (and the trackpad issue).
