Been trying to upgrade to MAGLDR112 from 111 but the installer cant find my device. The device is in flaser mode and awaiting usb connection but the Magldr112 installer fails to connect. I tried flasing two other Android nand roms and had no problems with both (just ran the installer right after Maglrd112 install failed with error 264). So this could very well be a bug with the latest version of MAGLDR.
Task29 and magldr 1.12. Nothing else

You need your device in bootloader, not in MAGLDR.
You would flash MAGLDR like you would any WinMo ROM.
What he said.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
1. Turn off phone
2. Plug in phone
3. Told down the volume down button and press the power button
4. Wait till you see a three colored screen
5. Flash 1.12
6. Reboot and hold power
7. Notice it now says 1.12
8. Be happy
9. Push the thank you button
What does 1.12 do that 1.11 didn't?

+1 i agree with u i pass with this then i install 111 again
I don't see the reason to upgrade to 112 unless you are using Win 7 and if you are going to use NAND android then just wait for 113.
Guys, you OBVIOUSLY don't read...
Please read post 3 and 5 then try again....You will get MAGLDR 1.12 flashed onto your HD2. There are hundreds off people that can attest this method works.....
OMG! Only if I had known this method sooner I wouldn't have wasted so much time updating MAGLDR by downgrading back to WinMo then MAGLDR again..

I've had the same issues for 1.12. I think it has something to do with it being plugged in.
Before you boot, unplug. Then get to the magldr screen. Then go to USB flasher. Then plug in USB. Run DFT.
This has worked for me every time.
Read some posts people before you start flashing **** !
Solved!

wth are you talking about? You dont flash magldr with magldr, you flash it with bootloader.
So either you are talking out of your backside or you didnt even read the comment you are replying to.

Hey people
i have magldr 1.11 installed now i want to put in 1.13 but i cant do that
i have win7 on my PC and when i try to install 1.13 i only have de tricolor screen and cant update
i turn off the phone and press -vol and power on and only boot tricolor screen
can anbody help me?
tks
you need to describe the problem better.
You can flash magldr from bootloader, so long as you have hspl, but I can't tell from your question whether you have tried yet.
Put phone into bootloader, connect to usb.
What spl does it say?
does it say usb at bottom of screen? if no, have you plugged the usb cable in?
when you run the magldr romupdateutility does it giove an error? is it a timeout error or a different error?
are you trying to do it through a front panel USB port? or a usb hub? if so (and try this anyway) when it times out, just run it again, if it times out again, then change ports and run it again,
i have magldr 1.11 and dft version of 30 dec

ok let's try to be more clear on this.
first, have you done the HSPL? Following that, did you put magldr 1.11 on there? now if you can answer yes to both these questions, the steps are easy.
1. press -vol and power until you get the tri-colored screen. in there, you should see hspl 2.08 with cotulla in the upper portion.
2. if so, then you plug in the USB cord and you will see "serial" change to "USB" (assuming of course you have activsync installed and waiting on a connection)
3. when it links up, then you run magldr1.13 installer... once successful, the phone should reboot.
simple as that
done.
thanks now i have 1.13 but now how i install another version of nand android?
when i boot up with vol- and power only shows tricolor screen
first you need flash cwr 1.3 ,for that you need reboot your phone to magldr via hold power button until magldr menu upears. After that select usb flasher via vol down and green button (call button) confirm. And after that you can flash anything nand android by usb flasher in magldr or cwr.
when i reboot phone it goes to magldr booter without choice it goes for my actual version cant choose anything
You must hold power button untill menu apears!
magldr 1.11 to 1.13
I'm trying to update from magldr 1.11 to 1.13 but every time I run the ROM update utility I get "Error [260]: Connection" & "the Update Utility cannot connect to your PDA phone." I have the tri-color bootloader screen, as well as USB on it. I'm already running a NAND Froyo build, just trying to switch to Gingerbread. I've tried searching this forum & the web for help without any success. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

comp is probably using teh wrong drivers.
first off, try a different usb port, one you havent useed before for that phone. if taht doesnt help, go into device manager when usb is connected, find he device (probably called mobile device or something) right click, choose uninstal, then reboot, reconnect the phone, see if it helps.

Task29 maybe can help you!
hi,
MAGLDR doesn't recognize my sd card . i can't use usb mass storage , AD SD => CWM . apparently all the roms i want are released az ZIPs ...
is there a fix for that ?
Are you using magldr 1.13? If so you need to use the new CWM 1.3 partitions which now installs the partition onto NAND, so to use CWM you need to boot into the AD Recovery option from menu and not Boot AD SD. There is also no need to copy files to root of sd card.
There is a problem with magldr usb mass storage, but if you boot to CWM, select mount and storage and the usb storage you can copy perfectly.
hi
my problem is with the bootloader screen. After installing magldr 1.13 i could not start the ppc in bootloader mode. i have tried many key combinations and etc.. but it is still starting with magldr after a short white htc screen. So now i cannot load any official or custom winmo firmware. None of the android nand fw are working. Now i only can use winphone 7 with limited abilities.. Can anyone tell me the way to solve this and go back to original rom?
thanks

When you say you can not start in bootloader, bootloader is started by turning the phone off, holding in the vol down button only and turning on the phone.
The phone should not even get to the white htc screen.
If you get into the tri-colour screen you can get back to a stock rom to start again.

Yes exactly thats what i m doing. But it passes to magldr. I even have reset from the red button at the back but no way to bootloader
@ClydeB1 : so i have to install the new CWM using the USB Flasher and it'll boot from AD Recovery ? thats good news i guess ...
will it let me install ZIP roms ? also i have a 512Leo . why would i (or anyone) want to partition NAND ?!?

Yes, install the appropriate cwm partition by going to usb flasher and running daf.exe. Then the phone will reboot to magldr, select AD recovery and you can then flash zip roms or updates, backup etc etc etc.... I have a 512 device also, so no problems.
I guess one of the reasons for running recovery off NAND is that not all users could get the sd based recovery to work.

I have the same problem here. I tried to return from my NAND Android Builts to a Windows 6.5 ROM. But after Flashing, the reboot got stuck at the logo. I tried flashing over and over again, different WinRoms, reflashed MAGLDR and even tried a combination with HSPL. nothing seems to work. I dont pass the logo, cannot enter MAGLDR or load a normal build. I kinda run out of all my magic. anyone got any suggestions?

What hspl version and radio are you using? To use magldr you need 2.08.hspl and radio 2.08.50.xx or higher .50 radio
I'm not sure why it would hang on reflash to winmo, but let's try get to Android.

you're using Stock SPL, you need Hard SPL (HSPL)

magldr problem
hi
i was instaling the magldr on my htc hd2, but during the instalation i realise that my VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons are broken and dont work...i have to choose some option in MAGLDR but i cant...so i'm stuck here, my phone boots only MAGLDR even when i restart the phone from the red button, or even when i pull out the batery...is there some option to turn off the magldr, without using the volume buttons? please help me..in the store workers tell me that they cant fix the broken volume buttons...and now i cant use my phone... cheers...
I just bought an HD2 with windows phone 7 already installed. The guy i bought it from said that the phone came like that from the previous owner.
From what I can tell, windows phone 7 has been flashed to the nand/internal memory.
Can someone point me in the direction of where to look to remove this OS so that I can install the other wonderful Rom's developed for the HD2 (android, meego, etc)?
I've been looking around but i'm a little lost.
Thanks!
Personally i would seriously consider taking the HD2 back to its stock defaults and then work forward, the problem of using someone elses work is that you dont actually learn anything, which is what this commuinity is all about
So if you want my advice do an SD card flash of a stock ROM for your device
first things first, go to HTCs website
http://www.htc.com/europe/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=297&act=sd&cat=all
grab yourself a stock ROM (if you have a 1024MB version of the HD2 then be careful!)
extract the file you downloaded, use winrar or 7zip
- Take the "RUU_signed.nbh" and copy it to a blank SD card .
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- put that SD card in the HD2
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.
- Follow directions
that should perform an SD card flash, meaning it will remove absolutely everything and start from scratch, ie Windows Mobile
you can then decide what you want to install and go from there
as a rule the process is HSPL>RADIO>(MAGLDR)>ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914924
has some general guides
but as a rule you should really just do to the thread of your chosen OS, that should have some stickys on how to do things and dont forget the wiki!
Thanks for your reply!

nope!
your holding down the power button arent you?
take out the battery
hold the vol DOWN key
put the battery in (keep holding down vol down)
then "tap" power button (push and let go) the phone will vibrate a bit
keep holding down the vol down key until the tri colour screen comes on, if you copied the .nbh file and renamed it too your SD card it "should" allow you to install it
i tried it to it stays on red green blue white serial.
i have installed win7 but want to loose it

yea...so once when you are on the 3 color screen why dont you simply go ahead connect your USB and flash a custom ROM ???
or if you want stock...copy the .nbh file in your SD Card...and the flashing will start automatically...get it ???
Whats your reason for wasnting to remove WP7?
I personally think its better than most roms, and a about tied with the energy rom.
try flashing Yukis V5 and you might prefer WP7
no connection

I REALLY need help here. Is there any way to flash a ROM to my HD2 with USB. FOr some reason CWM is not responding at all. It is as if it wont recognize there is an SD card in. I got the phone from a buddy who said he flashed a ROM on there but doesnt know why its not booting fully.
It will get into the MAGDLR screen, I go option 8 then try to install ZIP from sd and it just hangs there literally for hours.
Using DAF I am able to connect via USB but cannot connect via USB to get the phone to connect to the Active Synch so I can restore or switch to a clean Windows to start from scratch. I believe he may have put the SD card in after doing everything else so it isnt recognizing an SD card. PLEASE HELP I NEED THE PHONE FOR WORK...
Thanks
Have you tried using a different SD card? And have you tried restoring through the boot loader?
You can flash this nand rom AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7 using DAF.
As new user I am not permitted to post outside links . You can check HD2 Android NAND Development forum and download the ROM.
Think you need to format you're SD-card. Using an adapter and puting it into you're computer and format it with SD-Formatter from Panasonic.
Acces the tripple color screen (hold volume down + powerbutton and connect with USB to PC) Install HSPL
Then do a task29 to wipe you're phone.
Instal a Radio (i use Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14), aMAGDLR 1.13 and CWM.
Then install the rom.
