hmmm.. Congrats on the phone. But surely you arent dumb enough nit ti figure out about the ROMs... considering you are a long time member. What are you after? HTC sense ui, latest wm6.5 ui or both ?
After both just seen that there is a Tom called toshdriod I'm mostly used to Android when it boots into Android does the USB and memory card had problems with previous dual boot and is there way way to choose os from boot

[Q] [QUESTION] is it possible to have Desire HD Gingerbread SD ROM?

Sir,
just want to know/request if we can have a HTC Desire HD Gingerbread ROM for HD2, i love HTC Location app but it seems that theres no separate apk for this app. If possible for us to have this kind of build with very nice gb cm7 ui. thanks a lot Sir!
An MAGDLR ROM with Sense 2.1 + Gingerbread for our HD2 should be really appreciated.
Thats whats up! That would be sweet! I hope someone can make this happen.

Sense 3.0 would be possible, someone just needs to port it to the HD2, it has been done already but for NAND and not SD.

If you have a HD2 running WP7 then yes you can run Android from SD card. If you have a native WP 7 HTC device it seems like the ability to run Android on WP7 is coming or has just not been officially released yet.
Well I wanted to link it for you to check out. But cause I was stupid and did not keep up with it I can not find it in the XDA Portal now. But not too very long ago there was a article in the XDA Portal about A video showing a HTC HD7 (I think) running Android. The video did not divulge if it was from Micro SD card or from NAND but it was a video I promise. For the bleeping life of me I can not find it in the Portal.
Ok I found it on YouTube for you here.

Best ROM at the moment

Does anyone have any ideas what the best ROM is for SD card installation.
One in which everything works smooth, fast and doesn't heat up very quickly.
There are loads out there so wondered if anyone had any suggestions, I am using cyanogenmod 7 gingerbread at the moment.
Thanks

Wp7 on DHD

3-4days ago, I saw that HTC announced Titan and Radar.. and both the cpu is msm8255. Moreover Radar is 1GHZ.... So I think we can port wp7 to our DHD... What do you think?

Um why wp7 on the dhd?

Better than nothing... Isn't it? I always envy HD2....

It wolud be awesome a dual boot android wp7 but i think only cotulla can do it
Sounds interesting. I hope someone can do this id love to give it a try.

Well, the problem isn't just the chipset. There are also other hardware parts that probably aren't the same as in these devices.
And that parts are the problem because wp7 is closed source so you can't really modify drivers, kernel,... Since android is open source, the drivers can be "easily" modified or replaced by others.
But if HTC uses the exact same hardware in these devices, there is a SMALL possibility that it will be portet someday. But imo it's unlikely that it will be ported.

It would be awesome indeed. But I doubt that someone will do it.

In my opinion, if you want to use wp7 and don't want to spend very much, you can buy a used hd2 around 100€... I am playing with this idea now, because I use two phones and wp7 looks nice and works good, but my main phone is and will be my DHD with Android because android can do more, than I would wish on a phone. It's the most amazing operating system ever...

the question, why? I would have answered, just because of the good feeling that our phone can do that. I would never use W7 but I would like to try to look again and tell myself that the DHD with Android platform the best choice.
Well, if there are someone who will to create a new custom bootloader, den I think multi boot on multi os is possible

I saw someone discovered dual boot between sense rom and non sense rom....

[sarcasm] Wow, surprised this hasn't been asked before[/sarcasm] If you want WP7 on your phone go buy a windoze phone, it's closed source and would be a helluva a lot of effort for people to go to and why bother?.
Anyway MODS any chance you can close this thread as you have the other 100+ asking this question?
I suppose that it will be nice to have dual boot, but IMO wp7 sucks. The effort in achieving this is just not worth it.
Have wp7 on my work phone and I must say that win 6.5.x on my topaz is much better. Yes the speed and UI are better but some general things (which are very annoying in daily use) need to be polished.
Many missed calls as the wp7 can be powered off while phone is locked. So every time you put it in your pocked you must be sure that power button is face down.
i just can't honestly think why any one would want wp7 as a daily OS, maybe for a play, but why, really why?

Android is the best
ill stick to android..one of the best...
I for one would love to see WP7 dual boot with CM7 on my DHD. Even if it's just for a proof of concept. The new Mango update does give WP7 ability to run on DHD hardware. Maybe not e'thing would work but the chipset will be supported. So porting it to DHD shouldm't be that difficult.
