I was wondering if HTCSense.com would work on MCCM's Desire HD or S builds like it was that phone.
That is the major sticking point for me because I want to get that Desire HD or S Functionality with my HD2
Thank you for the responses.
yea... as long as the rom has "htc hub" you should be able to sign in/sign up aftet its setup you can logon to htcsense.com and it will show up as whatever phone model the rom is based off of... It does takes a couple hours for everything to be available like skins, ringtones, but the htcsense.com features work right away

Hi,
Is there a place I can download any of the Desire HD apps like the Reader, car Panel, HTC Like, etc.. that have been stripped from the HD ROM ?
I've tried the HD ROM itself, but the camera app doesn't work for the standard Desire, so I would prefer to wait until everything is fixed until I use that ROM. Until that happens.
Thanks
I don't get it, so why do you need the apps from Desire HD?...
Anyways, you can download a Desire HD ROM and open it with WinRAR and export the apk files from there.
You cant install them onto non HD roms so dont waste tour time if you plan to.

HTC Likes and the EReader are some nice apps. But the Desire HD Rom doesnt runs perfect.
So why dont build a normal Desire ROM with some Desire HD Apps.

I like the feature that allows you to cache maps.

Thanks. That's what I read somewhere. I thought maybe someone has managed to port the apps to the regular HD and uploaded them somewhere.

Unfortunately not. The development thread will explode with excitement when they get ported

Hi folks.
I would like to know from you developers if it can be possible to port the Locations feature (free offline navigation) from Desire HD and Desire Z to the Legend or any of the "older" devices.
Sorry if you consider this a stupid question but I couldn't find it answered elsewhere although it must be one (if not THE) most useful application on those devices.
I've seen it working and its pretty much seamless considering the present options.
Thanks!

You are probably using a PPP build, try using one which has RMNET. (I believe Hyperdroid is RMNET, but it's not Sense).
I see... is there any sense builds that are not PPP?

I'm not a fan of Sense so I'm not really sure. Maybe HyperdroidSense is, but it's not the most actively maintained build. Just check through all the build threads, it should be mentioned (though some don't..).
I use the HTC HD news wiggit and after a few days it stops refreshing. I played around with it but the only way I got it working was to reset my HD. After resting up my phone and the news app has now done the same again.

There are already three threads about this:

...this a bug and HTC need to sort it out.
Does anyone know if the HTC Desire HD mail app will work on a gingerbread ROM such as Oxygen?
Reason i ask is the HD version of the app i realized syncs with all folders on exchange.
If so is it just a case of copying the .apk file to the ROM .zip file before flashing?
Thanks
Should be handy
I'm actually interested in this as well. Apart from the Sense Mail app are there any other good alternatives which can sync with only some folders in Exchange?
There is "exchange for android " in the apps store but its $30 and I didn't like it much, the stock HD app is much better IMO
