I use the HTC HD news wiggit and after a few days it stops refreshing. I played around with it but the only way I got it working was to reset my HD. After resting up my phone and the news app has now done the same again.

Yes, it seems to happen when you press back key while in landscape. I uninstalled the update.

Yeah i noticed the same problem, there are several comments in the android market that desire hd owners are having the same problem. i hope google will fix it soon
I've just installed the XDA app and am posting for the first time! This is also my first Android phone.
My question is - why do I keep getting adverts along the bottom of the screen in half my apps? I had a brief shot of Android on my HD2 and played Angry Birds for hours and never saw and advert. Today I played for 30 seconds and they started popping up.
They're popping up on this app too!
How do I disable the ads as they're pretty annoying?

You can't they are put on there so the devs can get some extra money. There is an app on the Android market which disables them but I'm not sure what its called.

I just got this new MyTouch 4G here and it's been working well all day. While waiting on a red light in my car tonight, I turn on the screen and I see this. It's on 2.2 (no OTA). Has anyone seen this happen on this phone?
I uploaded the short vid to youtube. Pardon my voice, it was recorded on a MyTouch Slide.

Edit: I wanted to watch the video on the YouTube app (on the phone) and after I watched and backed out of it, the screen flipped out again!
That happend to me also send it back to tmobile I did that and they just sent me a new phone

My phones been doing the crazy screen flippy thing as well. I'm new to the mt4g (coming from the g2)... But I assumed this was a known issue with the youtube update...but is it not? Is the flippy screen thing an issue I should be concerned about?

There's nothing wrong with the phone... its a known youtube bug in the updated app

I just uninstalled the update and used the preinstalled version.

Off topic but what kind of case is that you have in the video?

Funny, I thought I was the only with this issue as I was on the phone with T-Mobile and they wanted me to exchange the device. I fixed it myself since the phone is fine otherwise. Since I was on 2.1 I simply followed the 2.21 update instructions and have a rooted phone now with a functional YouTube update.
I have a video of it is as well but I'm restricted from posting links since I'm not "verified".
Thanks guys. The issue was resolved after installing the OTA. I didn't have this issue on my first MT4G so my first reaction was hardware issue. Then I accidentally tried playing my YouTube video back and realized it was the app.
Thanks for the help!

Hi
My standard news app which shows my rss newsfeed, has not updated since Monday 13th Dec.
I forced stopped the app and cleared the cache. Now there's just a blank screen.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thx in advance.

I might have missed something in that thread but a reset is hardly a fix!
Download Google Reader, this will fix the issue. I have a small how to in a thread of mine. Search it up.

My HTC Desire HD has major problems since I updated to gingerbread, WiFi stops and starts all the time, my speakers no longer work so I can't listen to music YouTube videos etc, overall performance is terrible, a lot of lag, takes ages to open apps, anybody else with similar issues

What rom did you update to? The stock one? Tried a factory reset?

This is a new one, I agree with hawks, try a factory reset first then see if the problem still persists.
Yeah tried factory reset, tried creating a new account an all but still no sound, it was the over the air update

if nothing else works you could always downgrade using the appropriate RUU, which can be found here
Wifi and phone network
Same problem for Wifi, but also for phone network (3G/Edge/simple phone). If my phone is not used for about 2 hours, I must deactivate "Data" and "Wifi", and then reactivate them, to have a working data connection.
Anyone has the same problem ?
