Hi,
is it possible to use a rogers cover/case on a stock t-mobile g1?
I know that the rogers one has different buttons, but will this work?
Thanks
~Thau
Other than the front face 5 control buttons, everything else about both phones are identical in physical shape.
Heeter
It will work, but you will have to have the correct control board for the chin buttons.

I've listed my Hermes - HTC branded version - on eBay. Originally put it up on Marketplace. Also listed a few parts that seem to be harder to find including a rear camera, dpad board from a 8525 and a keyboard sub board and antenna/speaker. Don't know if I should link to ebay but here goes:

All the parts were from a donor phone and work perfectly. The phone is in great physical condition and everything works perfectly as described - the front dPad gets a little flaky - generally works - sometimes won't but can start up again by moving scroll wheel. Can't use the existing part I'm selling because it doesn't match up. Apparently there are TWO version os the dpad one has the controller chip at the edge of the PCB (ATT/Cingular - DOPOD 838) and original HERMES has it more toward the center. The keypads are different. I also have the sliding keyboard PCB without the keys and a flex cable (BLACK) and keyboard FLEX. OH - have another rubber plug for the antenna as well.
If interested just PM me and I can either sell it through Ebay or take it down and do it privately.
I found an really good condition atrix to sell for a very cheap price, the only problem is that the home and back buttons, doesnt lit very well like the other settings and search buttons.
In galaxy S, it was just an flex cable light behind the buttons, but i didnt found this piece for atrix. its possible to fix this on atrix or i would need to replace the entire screen?
thanks!
I don't know the answer, but I suggest you go to ifixit.com and search for Atrix. That show how to dissamble an Atrix. That might help.
yeah i found 2 vids on youtube, both makes you believe that the light and the screen are the same piece. i gave up from that atrix and bought an new one
you can adjust the brightness of the buttons independantly of the screen. it is a custom option in CM7 and it is tied in directly to the brightness sensor.
Hi, someone in my family just bought a galaxy s4 for sprint. The (edit) home button was not working when she bought it, but I told her to get it because i thought it was an easy fix.
Now i already ordered the home/back/menu flex replacement part on ebay, it hasn't arrived.
Then i watched a video for a non-sprint version, how to replace home button and the process involved removing the digitizer with a heat gun & suction.
Is this the correct process for the SPH-L720? I have some experience with electronics and soldering, but i am slightly hesitant to undergo this operation on my sisters phone. Can anyone give any advice on my situation?
Also note that the charging board just broke so i ordered that too (i looked up a video and that's when i realized i cannot easily replace the home button board). Also the menu capacitive button doesn't light up or work. (Only back, power, volume works). I have accessibility set up now with software buttons.
Thanks for reading.
Anyone figure a way to enable onscreen keys on the device? Im considering giving it a 2nd go as my wife and i decided we want to move away from samsung products.
Also anyone using it on metropcs? Hows your lte signal?.

I wish they implemented the buttons like the OnePlus 3. Hide them completely if you don't wanna use the sheet capacitive and just use software buttons. But no, instead they made it pain in the ass to enable software buttons and put perma capacitive that doesn't even light up. Good way to ruin an otherwise perfect (hardware wise) phone LTE!
So while replacing my rear facing camera I accidentally partially tore the ribbon cable for the recent apps button (thought it was just adhesive. Was terribly wrong). Now the button is kind of borked. It partially works but very inconsistently and seems to activate itself if I apply too much pressure to the frame of the phone.
Upon research I'm told that I need to match a part specific to the phone's carrier which is Sasktel (Canadian variant). However, I can't seem to find any replacement parts specifically for this variant of the S5.
I've activated the onscreen nav bar for now. Any ideas on how I should proceed?
