Yes,you need activesync if you use Windows XP or Windows Mobile if you use Vista/7
when the status says connected then you can start flashing your new ROM

sorry for all my questions, but I just need to connect my phone through ActiveSync to my computer,the it'll show remote disk of my storage on my computer,and the I activate the ruu and follow the instruction?

well..follow these steps:
1.connect phone through ActiveSync
2.run DFT_SSPL_MINI
3.click next...next...next

p.s. if computer sees the phone as disk drive then you didn't connect the phone through activesync!

but when i try to open dft_sspl_mini through activesync it just open the properties of the file instead of the file itself

are you trying to open sspl on phone??
if not...then there is something wrong with your PC!

I have M$ vista ultimate.When i try to flash my trinity but i have problem with usb driver under vista.SSPL bootloader cannot make a conexion with my mobile phone?When i use activesync it's OK but when i run sspl i have this message :error conexion.
I think that the problem is beacose i use vista.Eny ideas?

i have flashed twice under vista, use these drivers for your trinity & disable usb connections in mobile device center

Now i start boot loader but evry time i have this message : your image file is corrupt.
I know that the files isn't corrupt, and i think that the problems is still in the driver!

Maybe you should try flashing with the SD Card method! It's always safer and easier!

I have a MDA Compact III from T-Mobile, but I upgraded it to WM6 from o2 in former times.
Now the USB-Connection is broken (don´t ask me why - I don´t know) and I want to send the Artemis to my provider for repairing or changing (btw loading is working by USB, but Windows Vista, XP etc. wont identified the Artemis - tested on serveral PCs).
Because of the guarantee I have first to downgrade the o2-OS to the original T-Mobile-OS. I´ve tried it by SD-Card, but I doesn´t work.
The bootloader shows IPL 3.04.0001 and SPL 3.04.0000. As I understand it, I have to use first Artemis_USPL, but without a working USB-Connection it wont work.
Can someone help me?

Just an idea.but have you tried to activesync your device thru bluetooth and installing the Artemis uspl and then flashing your rom via SD card?

Yes mate. The Artemis was connected but didn´t synchronize.
And bluetooth can't be used to flash

No,it can't ,but,what i had in mind was this:
What if you extracted the ruu-signed.nbh from the USPL app renamed it to arteimg.nbh and put it in the root of your sd card which you then put in your Artemis.
Now create a bluetooth activesync connection with your PC "It's a ***** but it can be done" ,run the USPL app and once it reaches the point where the Dos window "Black screen" exits you manually enter bootloader and run the arteimg.nbh.
Do you think it might work?

If this works then you will have a CID unlocked Artemis and you'll be able to flash any rom thru the SD card.

Start WMDC go to Mobile Device Settings..from ther select Connection settings..then a dialog windows will popup..select
"Allow data connections on device when connected to PC "
and voila u are done..i use Vista Ultimate and it works for me

dude.. ikno this place but.. the small problem is.. my vista is a cracked one and not a genuine so cant validate it.. b4 downloading.. and mirror will do..
then obv, u need to dl the bios patched vista if you choose to run vista.. :O

internet through activesync [passthrough] go to Settings\Connections\Connections\Advanced\Select Network\Program that automatically connect to the internet should connect using choose My Work Network then click ok and restart ur PPC.

Dude, thanx for this easy method will try, but before trying, let me tell you that im using vista ultimate and not using any wm device center, im just connecting my ppc to my pc.. and it works.. like do i need wmdc for ur process..??

Well i tried this,, but after doing it when i try to use ie7 from my ppc it shows the name of the url is wrong or something and when i use opera browser it it looses the connection with my pc..

hey I was trying to HARDspl my phone I tried the three cab files and got this error while trying to run the romupdate utility. I tried looking every where couldn't find the cause. Any help would be appreciated.
You don't run the RUU from your phone, you run it on your computer with your phone connected after you install those three .cab files.

I am gonna use HD2_Updatable_XBmod_Yuki_v2_native rom but before it could anyone can tell me if this rom can install the soft after it is flashed?I mean if I want to install any soft should I do any other step?And can this rom charging when the sreen is off?
They say you should be able to sideloade XAP files with TOM's XAP explorer.
You should be able to get marked working to, so can't see why you shouldn't be able to install your software.

the answer as of now is NO !!
because MAGLDR doesnt allow this...hopefully we will have a magldr version soon which fixes this problem !

Sync Issues
Im using the HD2_Updatable_XBmod_Yuki_v2_native, after I connect my HD2 to my computer Zune will only sync it as Guest, Ive tried re-syncing but it wont change sync relations. Any helpful tips?

Have you tried in Zune settings/phone/sync options and look under device options, there should be a third option.
