xda 2 O2 bad flash

i tryed downgrading my xda to 1.5 so i will be able to use appz on it but now it just locks up on the O2 screen says the software version is 1.3 now but just locks up tryed about 100 different updates but nothing working is there a fix so i can get a custom rom on to it .................
now its just a brick is there a way to fix this problem

you have to provide more (and more accurate) information (IPL and SPL 1.3 isn't correct. Is it 1.03? You really need to be accurate about what you post or someone could tell you to do something that will truely brick your phone). Your best bet at this point is to get the most current rom from your provider and then flash that. From the way you are describing it, you'll probably have to put it in bootloader mode to flash it.

ok here is the problem I tryied to flash a rom in my G4 cid locked and after it flashed correctly using the shell tool; I had to do a hard reset; when I did the hard reset my phone starts and freeze in the booting screen. with the o2 logo but doesn't seem to start; is there a solution providing that it can't recognize the active sync?

Please help me and my MDA!!!!!

I was updating my MDA to WM6 when my computer froze in the middle of updating, so i unhooked the MDA and resset it, now its stuck on the splash screen!!!! no matter what I do! and activesync will not recogizine it also!! ive tried hard reset be all its saying issomething about a FAT partition, it can still go into bootloader mode so i know its not bricked, its a G3 model...SOmeone PLEASE help!!!!!

Read the wiki for wizard, I am sure God will help u if u help urself. I think it can be restored by going into the bootloader.

Thanks, did some reading and solved it, but than i wanted a new rom and when i installed it I started and it stuck at splashscreen again, only now hard reset fails and now matter what original tmobile rom i flash it to its still stuck!!! Please help!

What steps have you taken, and where are you stuck at now? Can you bring it into bootloader mode? What IPL/SPL? You said its G3, is it CID unlocked?

So far i have flashed it with the original Tmobile rom and some others through the bootloader mode, but even after it says flash completed I still get stuck on the splash screen, my ip/spl are both 2.26, and it is CID locked, and at the time i dont had a mini sd card to perform an sd rom upgrade, god i wish i just stuck with my original rom, please help!

So you've flashed back the oroginal tmobile rom, is that also 2.26? I presume you are using the standard update util for the flash and it says completed? I've seen the update util do that (say 100% complete but not actually update anything) .. this behaviour is documented somewhere in this forum (took me about 8 flashes and a lot of confusion and frustration before I found the forum threads!) this only happened on a CID locked phone flashing a custom rom.. i don't think that happens with original vendor roms..
Can't say I have had the same problem. From looking at the forum, most people who get stuck like this can flash the wizard love rom and get back on. For me, I have mostly been able to get back to the original rom when needed, except when I bricked my G4 phone (before G3/G4 was well understood)...

p.s if this only happens on cid locked phones, is there anyway to unlock my cid while in bootloader mode?

Like I said I had not used it myself, but there are many references to it in the forums.
When you say you are stuck, does it load the Windows splash screen or does it get stuck on the IPL/SPL screen?

No you can't CID unlock in bootloader mode.. there are a number of threads on how to CID unlock...

Only that by all accounts, you should be able to get a working phone again if you can get into bootloader mode.. unless you have hardware issues. The other item that may be of problem is the extended rom which can get corrupted.

Trinity with a lot of problems

hi to all...
i have a trinity in my hands that i had to change lcd...
after i change lcd i tested and seems to be working well..
but it wasn't... the first problem i saw that was when i turn on,it freezes at menu after about 1minute...
after some searches, i've flashed with olipro 1.20 (till here is fine), and then upgrade radio..no luck, because when i tried to do that, it won't pass from 0% at any time and any version of radio
after that i tried to upgrade the rom;but one note,every time i made the 3 color "trick", the olipro 1.20 disappear and i have to flash it again (i don't know if it is normal or not).
finaly, when i try to flash the rom, it freezes at 13%, in all times i tried
i don't know what to do more, if anyone have any ideia, i'll apreciate a lot some help..

but it seems that in both unlock methods,the phone should turn on wich is not the case

Try entering bootloader mode and flashing back an original rom, depending on your device. When successful, your device will boot normally and then you will be able to SIM/CID unlock it and follow the guides from here

one of the roms i tried, i could flash to the end (one of cooked one wma 6.1).
but the problem remains, when reaches the wma logo, it freezes

The only other thing I can think of, is that you have a bad SPL. Try the splxploit, see if something comes out. After the SPLXPLOIT, flash again Olipro's 1.20 and if everything goes well, try flashing a 6.1 rom.

format failed .. stuck on splash screen..

and the orange brand wallpaper
what can i do? i tried to reset it and format it
but an error shows up
"Press Send to restore factory default,

i can enter RGB bootloader (cam button+power), but i don't know what i can do??
ps: i just got it from a friend, i don't think my phone is cid-unlocked..

Ouch.
Sounds like the built-in flash memory is bad. I'm not sure what you can do about that, short of replacing it.

No offense Reverend, but where did you hear that? Its just bad flash man! Simply enter the bootloader mode, and re-flash a new rom to your device. What program where you trying to install?

something from a pocket freeware site.. "XDA-Team_Manilla2D.CAB"
it's a touchflo 2d app for today screen.. after installing it, the sistem wouldn't boot up anymore. so i tried to format, soft reset, to restore the system..
the formatting started and then gave an error and shut down immediately. i didn't even catch a glimps of that error 'cause it restarted.. and then the problem. it won't go past the operator splash screen
tried to reformat.. would't start.. format failure
..simply wow.. don't get me wrong , but i didn't knew there was a bootloader screen until this happened.. i dug up about this problem on the forum, but i can't solve it.. i don't know that much about flashing.. isn't the wizard supposed to be cid-unlocked to be able to flash it with a new rom?
or there's a rom that doesn't require the pda to be unlocked?.. cause' i think mine isn't. and, since i can't get it to boot up the os, i can't cid-unlock it after the tutorials i've found here..

Oh you poor sole...that program that you tried to flash is notorious...I did the very same thing to mine just the other day. It doesnt work with the Wizard yet for some reason.
Now, onto your problem, yes-I think that your Wizard IS INDEED CID locked, and if that is the case, search for the Wizard LOVE ROM and flash it. It can be flashed with a CID unlocked device. Head into your bootloader mode, then start up the RUU flashing program on your PC that is included with the ROM. After it flashes, you can use the Wizard Service Tool, which is also availible via searching to CID and SIM unlock your device, and then you can put any ROM that you like onto it. I hope that helps somewhat!

If you can get it into bootloader mode, you can recover. If the phone is not unlocked, you will have to load the original service ROM for that phone.
You MIGHT get lucky by just flashing the IPL/SPL back though, now that I think about it...look at the "How to Remove HardSPL" thread for the most popular IPL/SPL sets. If this works, you won't have to put all of your custom settings and programs back on.

Simply,download the official stock rom of the carrier and flash it in Bootloader mode to recover back to its default status,than downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx to CID unlock the phone,how to CID unlock the phone, read and follow this guide carefully :-

any ideea what other kind might work with cid-locked?

If you have said the truth... you've got a G3 device cause your ipl spl are 2.27.

Now,its possible to back up the rom from your friend's phone,but it also have to be CID unlocked first and your device shud also be CID unlocked to flash it from the sdcard (MTTY) method.

dude.. that's what i've been trying hard reseting it.. and i get the same error each time i try it "Format Failed"
no sd inserted.. i took it out a while ago.. cause i read on the forum to flash without it.
i begining to get desperate over here
i'll try other roms..
what else can i do than hope this works

Also take out if any sdcard or mini sd is inserted in the phone before flashing,it also causes this Format Failed problem.

that sounds bad. Id say either faulty battery, or more likely faulty power circuitry inside teh phone.
Warranty would be my first stop.

It has to be the correct official rom, unless you have hspl installed. Example, if your phone is rom locked to O2 (not sim lock, that doesnt matter) then opnly the o2 official rom will work, (unless you have hspl installed)
