Whats happened to my phone :|

ok let me start by saying im new to this type of thing
Basically i have been wanting to get some cool apps and themes etc for my HTC HD2 T-Mobile uk phone for a while now.
I searched and found this awesome site etc..
After messing about for a good 3-4 hours on finding what means what i got windows mobile downloaded lots of Roms and alot of head scratching figuring out what it all means.
After alot of messing about i got Windows mobile to reconise my phone and i flashed my phone and put a Rom on (which i cant remember which now>_< )
Then the problems started to happen, Windows mobile stopped detecting my phone altogeter.
So i tried changing USB ports/Activating faster sync in the phone settings and trying over and over, Nothing!!
So i thought i would restart my phone and computer.
Restarted my computer and looked to see my phone had got stuck on the boot screen. After 10minutes of waiting for the phone to start i took the battery out and tried that and same thing over and over.
I then tried holding down volume buttons and reseting and it finally started after i reset it.
I i thought i would restart it again and the same thing happened! so i thought i would try a hard reset.. Done that and nothing, still the same thing >_<
Now im stuck with a crap interface that i can't use and i can basically never turn my phone off because it gets stuck.
Please someone help this noob out and put a end to my frustration on what to do!

right sounds like you havent got the right radio for you're ROM,
Can you remember what ROM it was you flashed? if not shouldnt be to much of a struggle
turn you're phone off hold the volume down button and keep holding turn the phone off, and if you get the coloured screen you're safe and we can sort this out

the first mistake many people make is flashing an all singing and dancing cooked rom and think that's it.
if a rom unlocks the extra ram, (or says tmous compatible, or says the rom Is based on 2.x..).they all mean the same thing - the radio must be a tmous radio, i.e. one with ..50.. in the version number.
all non tmous phones come with radios with ..51.. version numbers, and hence boot problems until you change the radio.
(think yourself lucky, if you flash our radio to a tmous it kills the phone)
next time, read the rom thread for recommended radio. it will be in the first or second post.

I haven't had time to sort this out until today and im so confused and just need some help explaining what and how i will do this.
My phone doesn't boot unless i hold down the volume buttons and reset it and then wait 5minutes for it to restore everything.
From what i gather i need to change my Radio rom so my phone starts properly.
Ok i get that .. but how do i put a radio rom on my phone if my PC does not reconise the phone in windows mobile? (just says not connected)
I can get the phone to show up on my computer if i change it to "disk Drive"
but not if i use active sync.
So please someone explain to how i can get my phone showing up so i can put a new Radio rom on to my phone using windows mobile?

you can flash from bootloader. phone doesnt need to be booted.
boot into biootloader, flash the radio, done.

problem i went throght all the steps till i reached step 6, once step 6 was done my screen was stuck on stick together screen, can someone please help me? my computer won't recognize my phone at all to even try and reflash it, also i tried to put it in bootloader mode but nothing, can anyone help me =/

It's not gonna go past the Stick Together screen, because task29 erases and formats your ROM space. Your phone has no ROM on it. To enter bootloader, yurn your phone all the way off, and hold the VOL - (down) button while turning the power back on by pressing the 'End Call' button. Just continue with the steps in the guide, even though my opinion, flash a good Windows Mobile ROM, and just put whatever Android build you want to have on your sd card. Then you have the best of both worlds, Android and WinMo too. There's really no reason to limit yourself by using the ROM

Ty huggs I got my phone working, also I can install any type of android version? Or would I need to flash my phone again?

As long as you have a X.XX.50.XXX radio and not a X.XX.51.XXXX (a 2.08.XXXX radio or greater is what you want) then you're good to run any Android build you want. I would suggest one of the ones in my sig, they're great, or one of the RAM builds, those are very very fast

[Q] The definative thread for reverting wp7 back to wm6.5

Hi there, I know Im going to get shot down in flames (and probably rightly so), but I cant find a definative step by step guide on this site for returning to Windows Mobile 6.5 from Windows Phone 7. I have tried a load of search queries and for some reason I cant get anything that takes it through step by step and offers any links for any downloads I might need. I must be just typing the wrong things or looking in the wrong place.
When I installed Windows 7 I found great step by step guides that worked well but I can find what I need this time.
I know I am obviously being an idiot but could someone please reply with a link to a step by step idiot proof guide to getting my phone back to WM6.5 from WP7. Thanks chaps.

Power off phone. Power on with holding power and vol down until you get to the tri color screen. Flash your WM 6.5 ROM of choice. Any custom or compatible stock will do the job.

What he said, get to the "rainbow screen" bu holding down volume and power and attempt to flash your desired ROM from your PC.

Ok, but where do I find a stock ROM?

Search the forum you will find the link...

Turn the phone off. Turn the phone on and keep holding volume down and power button untill you get to rainbow screen. Now run the rom software on your pc and follow the prompts. Download the factory roms from htc.com (they want your serial number-its under the battery so is the IMEI, t-mobile (they want your IMEI number), if outside USA get rom from provider site or search the forums here for custom roms.

To clear up something. It is NOT nessesary to flash a stock ROM. Amy custom ROM will also do the job. Tried personally by me a month ago when my battery died a painfull death

Is it the same way if you want to go back to Android? Or do you need to flash winmo 6.5 first?

Hard Reset doesn't work even.
While reverting to WM 6.5 the ROM update happened but after 100% complete the device shut down and now its not starting, even tryied to hard reset.
What should i do now?

I flashed my phone to W7, did not like it and went back to WM6.5. I was running Android from SD card prior to W7, now back to WM6.5 and cannot run Android from SD card anymore, I believe it is a HSPL problem, I like the ROM I am running now, just want to be able to use Android from SD card, your thoughts? thanks in advance!

You have to reformat your SD card. WP7 formats your SD card with RAID format and you have to get it off your SD card. You xancdoca search to find formatting software that can remove the RAID format or buy a cheap micro SD to mini SD card adaptor. Putcyour SD card in the adaptor and then the adaptor in a digital camera and format it with the camera. Then format it with the Windows or some other format software with Fat 32. This will fix your problem.

[Q] Reverting back to windows 6.5

I currently have w7 on my htc hd2 and im trying to revert back to win 6.5.
ive downloaded this stock rom RUU_Leo_TMO_UK_1.43.110.2_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_.
Phone booted into USB Flasher (Hold Power down, Option 5, End call Button.
But it sits at Wait Usb....USB and doesnt move.
What am i doing wrong??

You need to enter bootloader. Shutdown phone and power on while holding volume down. It will be the tri color screen. Attach USB then run 6.5 rom update

Another option would be to flash the ROM via SD card method.
This way, everything will be set back to factory status.

indeed, you should always use SD method when going back to stock, it will correct most issues and will bring your phone back to how it was when you got it, remember to install HSPL again if you intend to tinker with it some more, SD flash will remove Magldr and HSPL and will also change the radio, spl and ROM
search the forums for how to SD flash, theres plenty of them, infact most of them would have came up in the "suggestions of previously started threads" box when you make this thread!

flashing via bootloader is more reliable, sometimes flashing via sd image is not recognised.

ive had issues previously releasing the keys at a certain time to get the "image" to be recognised, but it does work.
Call me old fashioned, but ive been flashing via bootloarder for many years, sometimes old habits are hard to beat lol

I am a noob , i tried to install Android on my HTC HD2 TMO(US) , but after all the Installation i was getting an Error 1E Fatal Error , i am trying to atleast revert back to Windows 6.5, so i downloaded the Official ROM Upgrade from the WebSite the name is T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_2.13.531.1.exe and it installed properly without any errors, but all i can see is White Screen Now, does this Installation include OS also or should i install windows 6.5 seperately, please help me

I DO NOT HAVE THE HISTORY OF WHAT HE TRIED TO DO WITH IT.
BUT BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK/DEAD , HE GAVE TO ME FOR CHEAP.
NOW THIS PHONE IS UNDER WARRANTY TILL AUG-2012 AND IS FROM VODAFONE.
(EVEN AFTER INSTALLING ANDROID IT IS VOID)
HE MUST HAVE TRIED SEVERAL ROM/HSPL TO GET TO THIS POINT.
PROBLEM:
When I power up the phone, it displays a NRG LOGO SCREEN (energize software), and it gets stuck on it forever.
When I do hold the volume down + power button, then it comes up with the three colour screen and it says SPL-2.08.0000, AND also says rom update failed (only if i try to install and then start up)
The phone does connect through USB when it is on the three colour screen, but it does not let me install ANY OF THE romS or the spl'S...
I have tried literally every single step possible. I have tried to do task 29, i have tried install the original rom, i have tried to put the rom in the sd card and try it that way.. I have also tried to do hard reset... vol up and down and it does not complete either..
I best rom it let me install was 99% of 2.10.50.19.2.. but after 99% it got stuck .. it seems like it gets stuck within 1 min or so.. anything you do!
Some times after several hundred attempts, it does let me change the spl... as it was displaying 3.... before then i changed to 1.4..... and then to 2.08...
All i want to do is to get rid of the NRG SCREEN, so i could send to the htc ,, for repair ( i know that it is not under warranty if i used andriod, but they will not know) .. or is there any way to completely format the phone,,, is there any solution to install andriod or microsoft? pls help

Because you have stock SPL, you won't be able to install any custom ROM or any stock ROM not made for your region/SN.

AFAIK, task29 is, also to be considered, a custom rom so it needs HSPL to be flashed. Are you sure you have followed the steps correctly?

That is not a ROM, it's a radio. You need to flash HSPL to be able to change the splash screen (NRG Screen). HSPL should go like this: SPL 2.08.HSPL .

Microsoft is a corporation, Windows Phone is the OS .
One more thing, to be able to flash a LEOIMG from sd, the .nbh must be a rom that is compatible with your device (It will work if you get it from htc.com using the device's serial number)

To summarize it, you need to do either one of the following:
1- Install HSPL, and do what you want.
2- Go to HTC.com, download a rom using your Serial Number, rename file to .zip, extract the .nbh file, rename to LEOIMG.NBH [Capital letters], put onto sd card and insert into phone, boot up device while holding volume down ONLY, and make sure splash is removed and you're back to the "htc" stock, then send to repair [why?].

Yeah, HSPL is needed for flashing pretty much everything. One thing you could do would be to flash a stock ROM from your SD card (just google it I CBA to provide links and stuff) which would reset everything to factory WinMo (including SPL to SPL3.03 [assuming you flash the latest ROM 3.14]) and from here it would basically be a fresh start. Probably the safest route without HSPL

Let me tell u guys if I forgot to say earlier. The mobile phone is not letting flash any of the Hspl... be q series, 2 series or 3.series... all the times it says error 0000006 and 000000010 etc... a couple out of hundreds it did let flash but then it doesn't let me flash the factory rom fom HTC.

I have succesfuly flashed the 3.03 hspl... bit still no success in flashing any roms ... it gets stuck sometimes at 99% and sometimes at 0% and sometimes it comes up with a scrambled screen and stuck

My final.outcome.
This phone let's me flash the hspl but it doesn't let me flush any roms including the original HTC factory rom.
I can also perform the task 29. Etc but still the NRG screen is still there.
I would like to know that if I flash the original Split and send it HTC, will be repairable for free? Sure? Even with the NRG.

now i think the only option available to you is jtagging the device which may permanently void the warranty !!
it had happened with me once, but somehow it got solved !
i used to randomly install clk, magldr, radios, hspl etc multiple times !
it used to get stuck while installing and then i used to remove the battery and try again !!
somehow it started ! !!

I bought this brick for £50 and I can return it to get my money back. Has any used jtagging and does it 100% work?. The thing is if I do used jtagging, and if it doesn't work ,then I can,t return it!. How much does it cost and is it worth it?

jtagging will solve your problem !!
they remove the motherboard of the device and flash the os into the motherboard directly through a device named riff box !!

Check that the micro USB connection isn't "wobbly".
I had a TMOUS HD2 and never had any issues. Then, I sold it and got a Telstra HD2 and had big issues getting ROMs installed until I realized that the connection at the phone was a little weak. I can't send any updates to WP7 via cab sender unless the phone is in a certain position to keep the connection from breaking.

Don't worry ... you can give the life to your phone back... it shows fail bcus u have 2.08.0000.. so it means u Sud have 2.08 v hspl.. so try flashing hspl by getting into bootloader(3 colour) by pressing volume down + power Then flash hspl.. but remember select 2.08v.. then again after flashing hold volume down + power.. bootlooder.. then flash magdlr 1.13 ... now the phone will boot into a black screen with written mangdlr.. wen the black screen magdlr screen comes then press power off for 5mintzz.. follow the guide to flash.. there is a stick thread in NAND DEVELOP... U can get the windows version back to your phone to get the warranty...

I have used the HSPL4 to change my 3.03hspl to 3.030000 spl...
Success, as when i go to the tri colour screen it says spl and no hint of hspl...
Bad news, is that i still cant get the rom flashing,, as it gets stuff at some point and mostly at 99%.. Have tried both ways through SD (leoimg) and through USB.
Now final question is ... When i on the phone a big logo of NRG (ENERGIZE) writtten comes up and it gets stuck there.. the phone has SPL .. so it still under warranty to return it?.. I still have all the void sticker intact.

did you try to flash just a splashscreen as i suggested in your other thread? (they can be flashed alone, no need for a whole rom, , just like radios)
if you can get a stock splashscreen on there you are sorted.

Maybe try to download the original Software from HTC.
With you serial number you can get the latest windows for this phone.
Flash the Software you get from HTC.
If this is working ok you can try to install any Android ROM.

But if you have even no luck with original Windows soft. You will also (maybe) have a lot of probs. with Android..

I have flashed andriod on several phones some time ago and I actually forgot the right steps to follow.
But this phone is unique is not letting me finish.
After following all the right steps, i wasnt able to install a rom succesfully even after installing the HSPL... and I am also not able to install the factory rom from htc on either the hspl or spl settings.
But i now got rid of the NRG screen and I have also installed the spl 3.03.. When you on the phone, it displays software upgrade failed..
So I have now sent the mobile to HTC as it is under warranty. I will then re-flash andriod following the right steps and see what happens!

My mobile came back from HTC with a week.. Looks like a brand new one!
In the letter it says the replaced IMEI, PCBA, FL BD, W/O_ REGIONAL_ID, LEO
