Hiya alll, Sorry in advance if i am posting this in the wrong section but i just registered and just got the a7 tablet and have a question. I just recently rooted the tablet earlier last night. I think it was done correctly, but just this afternoon while trying to change the display settings on the tab, when i go to settings display, i get this message.
"the application Settings (process com.andoid;settings) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again".
I'm only so so when it comes to tech stuff so i'm at a loss as to what this means or how to fix it. any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
Please look in the thread where you downloaded the rom... actually the exact post you downloaded the rom from. There is a patch for this.

Not sure if someone has posted this.
I'm keep getting "Sorry! The process android.processor.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." for every second/third contact I edit.
It's running Paul's JP3 "august-r2-xxjp3-froyo-pre-rooted-insecure-boot-clockworkmod-recovery".
I also applied the "One Click Lag Fix 2.3"
Anyone know what's wrong with this?
Is this a known issue?

Okay, I searched first, but don't see anything in Vibrant forums that I can use to help with this. It may be a server issue on Google's end but I thought maybe people smarter than I may have some info. Please accept apologies in advance if I didn't find something that would help before posting.
I flashed the leaked samsung firmware over the weekend (not sure if it's at all related, just info...)
Today I've been getting this error all day.

Nothing has changed, google sign in works online, just not on my vibrant.

Never mind, I figured it out I believe. Apparently google had detected unusual activity on my account and needed some verification from me. I'll have to research what kind of "suspicious activity" google detected. Thanks anyways. I apologize, do not know how to delete this thread.

I am not even rooted...
Only unusual thing that i did yesterday was to remove the battery and put it back on..
I was able to sign in after couple of attempts though..

I had this problem so I rebooted into recovery and wiped cache data. This fixed for me
I don't really post here much but this problem has me baffled beyond belief and I have yet to find a solution even after googling and trying their suggestions. Maybe I am not looking in the right places and someone could assist me.
The error I get is when I try to pull up my contacts, I immediately get the following message.
"android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close"
I have never had this problem (rooted or unrooted) until I flashed SuperClean 2.4. I flashed it and everything was OK for a few days. I couldn't fix it, so I reflashed SuperClean 2.4 he next day (which was this past Saturday) and the error happened today. As of right now, I am stock except for the EB01 Baseband.
Along with SuperClean, I did install LauncherPro, Facebook, Androzip and some games.
ANY help will be appreciated. Thank you!!!
Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and find the Contacts program. Then clear data and try to open it again. Just be warned though that clearing the contacts data may remove any contacts stored on the phone (shouldn't touch your Gmail contacts).

I assume you mean "Contacts Storage"? I've tried that and it still gave me the message with Force Close.
I recently installed the K-lean rom for my CDMA vzw tab, and it works incredibly well, except for the fact that I cannot install anything from the market. I searched the forums, and force stopped, and attempted to clean cache ( there was actually no data to clear), and it did not help. Any suggestions?
Suggestion: Dont create a new topic to ask a question about a specific rom. Ask your question in the specific roms thread.
By the way, a bit more info would help. When you say "cannot install" what actually happens, does it say downloading? does it show and error? does it download and fail on install? etc etc, you need to describe your issue properly.
PS. You tried market enabler?
Sorry about creating a new topic, but when I tried to post in the original thread, it would not allow me, saying I did not have access.
So basically what was happening is each time I would attempt to d/l anything from Market, it would show up under notifications for a few seconds, then disappear. I did not try (or know about) market enabler. There was no error message either.
So basically I formatted back to stock, and will flash and attempt again today hopefully successfully.

I have lately updated to CM11 (28/7) coming from CM7 with a clean install.
Everything looked great, but as I tried to set the "search bar" or something I got that repeating msg
"Unfortunately Trebuchet has stopped"
I keep getting it with every "OK".
Restarting doesn't solve this.
I'm trying to boot to recovery but as I get to the selection screen, touch doesn't work, and I keep getting back to Android. ok first time user with this - got in with bottons
wiped dalvik n catch -> no good
wiped all -> good
ok so its a bug report:
turning ON "search panel" gives the above error
I can't report in development thread because i'm new.
Any help is appreciated

I faced this issue as-well, quick way to solve it was to open settings from notification panel.
go to Applications->Trebuchet->Clear Data
should fix it, and you would loose only the Trebuchet configs instead of whole system.
Hope you have settings in your notification bar, if not, maybe you can try and install a different Launcher from PC browser and use it to reset Trebuchet

well I already cleared system data, which did help, but its good to know :good::good:
oh wow, just faced this problem in the first day fo use, nice to see others also had it
@karan4 : But that is temporary solution, trebuchet setting will get restored when you try to apply/enable search panel again the same error , Also gesture typing is not working for some devices(mine is android one(Sprout4)), these are the bugs I found in cm11.
