Anyone know the process for vvm? - Android Software Development

Yeah doing an adw theme, naming icons so I need visual voicemail process name for both sprint and tmobile? I've been getting process names via the database and adb shell-logcat to view processes, but since I don't have vvm and couldnt get it working if I did therefore I dont have the processes. Can anyone help me with that?

I need the visual voicemail apk

I decided to unsubscribe from visual voicemail since I don't get many voicemails anyway (I used to get a lot with Sprint, but Verizon's coverage is so much better I can just answer each call LOL.)
So anyways, I removed the voicemail app, now in the dialer app if I hit the voicemail button, it crashes the app.
Can someone post the stock voicemail apk? I'm hoping it re-enables whatever on that dialer screen so it at least doesn't crash if I accidentally touch that button...
nevermind guys! I got it from a fascinate rom dump. Just took the apk and the corresponding odex files and dropped them into the system/app folder.

visual voicemail apk verizon note 3

I recently rooted with kingo and installed safestrap and flashed jellybeans rom for my Verizon note 3. My visual voicemail app is gone and was wondering if anyone has a link for it? I have been searching endlessly and cant find it. this rom is super sweet but I do enjoy my visual voicemail app which was said to not be removed. thanks for any help guys. (no I didn't back up my stock rom so cant get it from there)
if you have any question about the rom I flashed let me know. customization to the max!!!
I don't even have the capibilities to get Visual Voice mail.
Why would that even be possible? I have a smart phone, I want a program to manage my voice mails, not a phone system that's 100 years old.
Is there a way to get free VVM? do i just call in and enable it?
Also, idk if its just me, but I don't get actual notifications.
Facebook doesnt even tell me" You have a new notification" it just has the badge.
For EVEYR OTHER app I have no matter what it is, it just says that: "You have a new Message, Unread email, Notification" but not the content of the notification.
What am I missing here?
I though Android was better than iOS
If your gonna start saying stuff implying that ios is better without first figuring out how to work your phone then gtho and buy an iSheep

Does not install.
"x Application not installed"
This sucks!!!
Try Youmail or Google Voice?

I tried it on MJ7 and it didn't function. It did install correctly, though (Hmmm. I didn't have TiBu for this device; crap I can't remember if I was able to DL it from the market or if I grabbed the .apk from a different device)
The pre-installed (Touchwiz?) Voicemail app seems to work exactly the same way - voice messages are locally cached onto your phone. (No evidence of a 3G/4G call in progress when you "listen to a voicemail".)
Hmmm. I think I am being billed by Big Red a couple bux/mo for the "privilege" of using that app. Mebbe I should call them.
beanstown106 SHOULD HAVE PROVISIONED FOR THIS!
Yeah, so now that a service I pay for is now "eliminated from the OS", and there seems to be no .apk that will be available...
what do I do?
All I want is to be able to use my VISUAL VOICEMAIL. I don't need all the other extraneous crap that comes along with Google Voice.
HELP!!!

The pre-installed Voicemail app works identically, does it not? (I'm still on MJ7, so ymmv ?)
It looks different (clunkier), but the basic functionality is there.

lol There is no "extraneous crap" that comes along with Google voice... I've literally been using it ONLY for visual voice mail for like 4 years now, and I couldn't live without it (it's very easy to disable using it for calls or sms).
I don't know how Verizon's VVM works (it's probably crap), but the best thing about GV is that it's very neatly integrated into android. When I miss a call and get a VM, I tap on the notification and the VM plays. Easy peasy. It's also accessible directly from the call log.
Not only that, you can set it to have Google email you a transcription of every VM. It's not always 100% accurate, but if I'm in a meeting or busy, I can get the general idea of what the message is about without even putting the phone to my ear. It's indispensable and FREE. Stop being stubborn... do yourself a favor and get it.
Google voice?

Follow this link. Instead of typing in a Google Voice Number put in your number. That may work. I personally have a GV number and get my messages in GMAIL.

VS995 Verizon VVM build.prop question

Random question, since I'm probably one of few people that use Verizon's Visual Voicemail.
I'm running the 996 deOdexed stock ROM, flawlessly - rooted with DirtySanta and now on that ROM. Everything works, other than obviously the outside world thinks I have a 996 now. That means that there are certain apps that don't show up as available for my device, one of which is the Verizon Visual Voicemail app. So whenever I get a voicemail, I get a gibberish text from a Verizon system number (could care less about that), and I have to manually call my voicemail to check everything.
In my not-so-infinite wisdom, I figured maybe I'd be able to edit the build.prop to the Verizon model, assuming that the model is written out as LG-VS995 (haven't found anywhere that mentions it exactly). Obviously I'm missing something somewhere though - About Phone shows it as a 995 of course, but still showing incompatible app for installation.
Have any Verizon users on other ROM's been able to get things set up properly for installation of Verizon (or other V20 995 specific apps) by chance? Long shot, but thought I'd ask. OR, if any Verizon rooted users have build.prop settings as far as how the model number is written out and such, that might help too. Thanks, and disregard if this is a pointless post

Please help me fix my lack of Voicemail Notification (US996)

I have a US996 and have been on A-O ROM, android version 8.0, for over 1 year. My voicemail notifications worked fine.
I recently reset my phone and went back through setting up Google on it and restoring my apps and all. Now if I miss a call, I have to check to the voicemail by calling *86 since there is no longer any notification sound or notification indication on my phone.
What setting am I missing to get those back?
(No, I never used Verizon's Visual Voicemail or any app like that. And I have not made any changes to my Verizon account recently).

Thank you for your reply.
I'm on the US996 using the A-O US996 ROM. I'm not on a Verizon ROM. I'm not after the Visual Voicemail. And I don't see voicemail.apk in the ROM anywhere.
I'm just after the notification when I get a voicemail. Then I can call in the *86. But I don't want to have to guess if I have a voicemail and check it without there being one.
I'm using the LG phone app. In it, I have the settings for Voicemail as :
Service: My carrier
Setup: *86
Notification Sound: (one I chose)
South with vibration: on

I personally have the visual one installed and when I get a notification for a voice mail, I click on it and it takes me to the visual one, then I listen and delete ect. As for location it might be in the priv-apps in system folder of extracted. I'm also on stock Nougat, but same for RR-pie.
I didn't see the voicemail.apk in the Rom. Perhaps because it's not a Verizon based rom. My phone is the unlocked, not Verizon based.
If I were to find a voicemail.apk, would it work on the non-Verizon like that?

This is mine on Nougat from stock based classic rom. It might work for you. I found in priv-apps folder in the vtt-Sprint folder. Yours may be in same area near bottom of list. I am not sure tho because I am not on that rom.
That won't work since I'm on Verizon. I didn't find any VTT apk or anything in the ROM.
I'm sure it's a setting or something I'm missing doing.
I just wish I knew what I was forgettng to turn back on.

I thought AO was Verizon based. Did you try the us996 or vs995 version of rom?
I have the US996 version of AO

Try the vs995 if available for it since you are on Verizon.
So, coudln't get the "Visual Voicemail" to work.
I don't need it to work. I just need the notification when I get a voicemail. Then I can check it manually.
Does anyone know what setting i'm missing to get the notification for a new voicemail that I need to check manually?
