[Q]help in apps2sd

i rooted well my x8 with superoneclick
i tried unsing xrecovery 2 install apps2sd i think i made it to install but when im going to install an apps its says need to free some memory but my sd card has space. ext2 has a free space about 700mb. checked it through link2sd
i cant install games/apps that has 50mb+ installer
i also try the cmd method in installing the apps2sd but when i type sh /sdcard/apps2sd.sh its says cant open file.
but the file is in the root of sd card
please help tnx in advanced more power xda =)
I think it's a apps2sd issue .... i read somewhere that you need to have free phone storage 2 times the application size to install it ... on native app2sd on android 2.3 roms there is no problem with larger files because you can install directly to the SD fat32 partition
hmmm better to use android 2.3?
but i have 140mb space in my phone storage and im going to install an 53mb size of apps but still it says free up some memory >.<
what is the better solution for it?

[Q] moving apps without extra partition

One question:
What´s the best way to move apps to SD?
App2SD with ext2 or ext3 particion or the native send to SD without any partition?
I ask that because i move withe the native way, without partition...
and everything seems to work!
Using Froyobread v020
I also use native option and also using froyobread 0.20
so I think that's the best way, even though it leaves bit of application data into phone !
I´m using the native one too, because I don´t want to make a useless ext-partition on my sdcard.
thank u guys, i was just confused, maybe its needed to make extra one!!!
but when i make ext3 everything seems wrong!
there's no need to create an extra partition if you're using native

app2sd problem

hi everyone..I am currently using vivek's rom and partitioned my sd card with 512 mb app2sd and 64mb swap..and installed app2sd v1.
but it is still not working for me...my phone memory is used for installing apps.
i've also tried app2sd v2 but still doesn't work...
help plzz
what do you mean? does titanium show the app2sd partition?
btw: app2sd v1 and v2 don't move everything to the sdcard. you should search for the app2sd thread by kyrillos. don't forget to wipe data

[Help/Problem]WIUI 2.1.6 and app2sd

I have been using WajkIUI for quite a while but I am unable to 'fully' enable app2sd
I have a 1 GB ext3 partition on my sd card..after flashing the rom i flashed the darktremor's data2sd script and it worked then i installed a2sd GUI but the app shows the total size of ext3 partition is 193 MB only...
I get a lot of force close..even terminal emulator force closes..I thought it was a consequence of low internal memory...but after enabling a2sd the problem is not solved
Previously i had flashed full sbf and I downgraded..so are those force closes and app2sd problems related to this full sbf flashing??

I don't understand why this a2sd gui is needed. As I know you can install apps to sd in Wiui. Just open the app manager, pick an app and click on move to sd. After you can move to phone if you want. It works for me. (and worked on 2.1.6)
when i try to move apps to sd something like insufficient space warning appears..WIUI doesnot recognize the ext3 partition!

So you have basically flashed a2sd script after restoring apps?
Try wiping dalvik cache. Flash the script and reboot.

No. I just in clockwork mode created partition then installed ROM and then installed apps from market ... they are installing into internal memory and not to 2 SD partition .. I can move them to first partition but not into second one
Ok once again:
I have newly installed android typhoon CM 7.1.0 v3.7.0 ROM clk.
1. I created in CWM a 1 GB partition because I thought the programs Im gonna install will be installed into this partition and not into small internal memory.
2 After creating partition I installed typhoon CM 7.1.0 v3.7.0 ROM clk.
Now system is working and titanium backup shows that there is the active 950 MB a2sd partition.
Problem is that I dont know how should I install programs from android market into this 2SD partition. Im not able to install them nor move there.
So what should I do ?
When installing an app, choose internal storage, typhoon will put it on the SD ext. There is nothing you need to do, it is automatic. Do not choose 'move to SD ',, that will remove it from ext and put it on fat32. Make sure all apps have been moved to internal.
Also when you install, it LOOKS like internal memory drops,,, it doesn't really,, wait a few minutes or restart and memory will go back up.
example, you install a 20mb app,, available internal storage falls by 20mb,, reboot, internal storage goes back up.
