hi everyone..I am currently using vivek's rom and partitioned my sd card with 512 mb app2sd and 64mb swap..and installed app2sd v1.
but it is still not working for me...my phone memory is used for installing apps.
i've also tried app2sd v2 but still doesn't work...
help plzz
what do you mean? does titanium show the app2sd partition?
btw: app2sd v1 and v2 don't move everything to the sdcard. you should search for the app2sd thread by kyrillos. don't forget to wipe data

How do I know if my EXT Partition is working??
i followed the steps perfectly..& ,y 16Gb sd card have 2 partition 1.5GB EXT4 - 13GB FAT32
but im not seeing a different with my internal memory space...its the same
i feel like its the same with out the EXT partition.
plz guys help me....
i needed more internal storage to install application...so i found a topic talking about making SD card 2 partition 1 EXT & the Other normal Fat32..i understod that the EXT partition will be as internal memory & i followed the steps
after flashing the NAND i didnt find any different in my internal memory storage & after installing some application my internal memory got low...so i used APP2SD but as u all know some application cant be moved to SD.
so plz i want to know where is my EXT4 1.5GB partition & how can i know if its working or not ?
Does your rom you are flashing use data2ext or app2sd? If the rom itself isn't set up to recognize the partition I doubt you can just add a partition.

i was using MDJ FroYo Revolution v.2.3 [A2SD+][RMNET][Kernel: MDJ S10.2 OC]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823491
but my memory got low tooo fast from a little application....so im now using a smaller NAND
CleanDROID v1.30 - Super Clean [FROYO+Cyanogen][Kernel GL v1]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917590 just to get more free space
I haven't tried either of those so can't comment. The one I'm using certainly recognises my partition and I have plenty of "internal" memory.
I know most recommend not going above 1gb for the partition as larger ones can cause a problem. Try reformatting the partition and resize it to 1gb and see if that helps.
thank you ill try another NAND
can u tell me ROM r u using?

hi i just installs the performance clean rom and restored about half of my previous apps, and i am getting this message "Phone storage space is getting low",
almost all my apps are under 1mb.
what do i do to free up space?
i already cleared up cache and moved all that's possible to the sd card...(that has 6 gb free).

why don't u use any custom rom?
For more internal memory, create ext4 partition of ur SD card, for more details u can check indroid custom rom forum.
i did!
i installed Dharam_s Clean Performance ROM,
could you show me a link to the instructions for what you have suggested?

For example if u have a 4 GB SD card.
Create a FAT32 partition of space 3.1 GB
Create a ext4 partition of space 500 MB
Create a ext2 partition of space 100 MB
Do all these partition from ur pc using minitool 6 (to download just google)
After that, the process in indroid is very simple, u just need to convert the file system and u r done. Dont know about Dharam's rom but surely after the partition u need to run a script which u may ask from dharam.
Actually what happens, the ext4 partition works like internal memory and the apps present on this doesn't get mounted when u mount ur SD to pc. U can see these partition in titanium back up.
I would, however reccomend u to go for indroid custom rom.
can you give me a link to the indroid custom rom?
Here is the link for the Indroid XDA page.

You have to install v4.1 first!! Then you can install rest of the updates through CWM recovery.
I would recommend Kyrillos' ROM however. It gives more internal memory. Here is the link for Kyrillos' XDA page.

yeah, please install 4.1 first.
@Dhiren: have u used indroid, i tell u, its not that very fast but u get everything and if u r following the processes right, u won't get any lag at all. I m so so happy using it.
Yes. I have used Indroid. Yes its fast. And you can also apply lagfix accordingly. But currently I am using Kyrillos. Hey can you confirm how much internal memory you get in Indroid after partitioning SD card??

My internal memory shows 138 MB. Almost all the app i install, it goes to ext4. My fone is much stable now after this partitioning theme. Have to say, using ext4 on indroid is easier from others because of the inbuilt Indroid FSC.
Combination of Indroid 4.3 and Fugmod 2.4 beta3 kernal is awesome.
*dont use Advanced task killer, instead use "Auto Memory Manager" for better performance.
Oh ok. In kyrillos, internal memory is 187 MB after partitioning SD card. Kyrillos is pre lagfixed.
I have been using WajkIUI for quite a while but I am unable to 'fully' enable app2sd
I have a 1 GB ext3 partition on my sd card..after flashing the rom i flashed the darktremor's data2sd script and it worked then i installed a2sd GUI but the app shows the total size of ext3 partition is 193 MB only...
I get a lot of force close..even terminal emulator force closes..I thought it was a consequence of low internal memory...but after enabling a2sd the problem is not solved
Previously i had flashed full sbf and I downgraded..so are those force closes and app2sd problems related to this full sbf flashing??

I don't understand why this a2sd gui is needed. As I know you can install apps to sd in Wiui. Just open the app manager, pick an app and click on move to sd. After you can move to phone if you want. It works for me. (and worked on 2.1.6)
when i try to move apps to sd something like insufficient space warning appears..WIUI doesnot recognize the ext3 partition!
I have installed typhoon CM 7.1.0 v3.7.0 ROM.
I would like to know how could I move installed apps into SD2 partition witch I created using CWM.
When I use titanium backup I can see there is a2sd but I dont know how to use it

So you have basically flashed a2sd script after restoring apps?
Try wiping dalvik cache. Flash the script and reboot.

No. I just in clockwork mode created partition then installed ROM and then installed apps from market ... they are installing into internal memory and not to 2 SD partition .. I can move them to first partition but not into second one
Ok once again:
I have newly installed android typhoon CM 7.1.0 v3.7.0 ROM clk.
1. I created in CWM a 1 GB partition because I thought the programs Im gonna install will be installed into this partition and not into small internal memory.
2 After creating partition I installed typhoon CM 7.1.0 v3.7.0 ROM clk.
Now system is working and titanium backup shows that there is the active 950 MB a2sd partition.
Problem is that I dont know how should I install programs from android market into this 2SD partition. Im not able to install them nor move there.
So what should I do ?
When installing an app, choose internal storage, typhoon will put it on the SD ext. There is nothing you need to do, it is automatic. Do not choose 'move to SD ',, that will remove it from ext and put it on fat32. Make sure all apps have been moved to internal.
Also when you install, it LOOKS like internal memory drops,,, it doesn't really,, wait a few minutes or restart and memory will go back up.
example, you install a 20mb app,, available internal storage falls by 20mb,, reboot, internal storage goes back up.

I think that the your intrd.gz not supported data2ext
