I have android 2.2 on my hd2 and no apps are showing up in SuperUser. Also apps that are suppose 2 ask 4 SuperUser permissions don't ask for them. What can I do to solve this?

Had simular issues when toying around .... don't ask.
What worked for me is uninstalling SuperUser and then installing it back from the market.

Make sure it is not running and if it is force close it, then uninstall it. Try unistalling it using a different tool like quick system info.

Okay, so I rooted my kindle fire with no problem and I got "Android Market" installed but it is an older version that looks kind of funny and it is not letting me install any of my apps (or any apps from the store). I want the newest one because I have two different Google Accounts with different purchased apps on them. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Where did you download the Android Market?
Check what version your Android Market is:
1. Go to Settings-->Applications-->Third Party Applications
2. Scroll down and select "Market"
The version should be 3.3.11
Sent from my Kindle Fire using xda premium
Also note that there seems to be a filter on the market that doesn't allow all applications to be downloaded on the Fire
You can sideload those apps though, as long as they are compatible with the Kindle Fire

Vending.apk is the problem. All the tutorials had that as the app to use. For me, it was never starting any downloads and yes it was the old market version.
Try com.amarket.apk from the gapps.zip, that worked for me first try.
Use the vending.apk on this post. It is the one that got market fully functional for me.

How did you install?
I installed vending.apk, got same starting download issue. I copied the gapps market apk to sys, chmod to 644 and tried to install. Starts install and then just says Application Not Installed.

This is a good choice. I was using it for a bit on my HTC flyer before I rooted and installed on my Fire.

Thanks a lot
That fixed it!
I was wondering why some root apps didnt work on my xperia play when they check if phone is rooted..... (For example chainfire gets loading forever like in the screenshot, while asking for superuser)
So, i was investigating with superuser app and looked at the superuser version (watch 2nd screenshot),.... Those symbols/numbers make me think that SU app has a development error or something.....
Im on .64 stock rom with darkforest kernel which is a prerooted kernel..... Maybe this causes app crashes when they are asking for root....
Can anyone tell my why happens this?? Its annoying to be always being forceclosing apps....
Thanks in advance
PD: I HAVE TO SAY THAT WHEN I CLICK ON UPDATE BINARIES IT GETS STOPPED CHECKING FOR INSTALLED VERSION (watch screenshot3 )
Mine says that under general and it works perfectly.

It doesn't matter what busybox version you have, problem remains
Yeah, i have installed the latest busybox version, and it usually works well, but sometimes gets like in the screenshots and have to reboot or go to settings>applications>select app> force detention to restart the app.... I think there is a bug with something...
I have installed 1.19.3 busybox version...Maybe i have to install 1.18.2, because its said that it works better.. What do you think?
Are you sure that you installed 1.19.3 ? I installed it too but stericson busybox app always reported that I have 1.16.2...
edit: Listen mate, you can check my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20775264&postcount=1542 before some time and see yourself that I had the same problem with Doomlord's kernel and no one could've help me...

Did you try to update the Market to v3.4.4?
If not, do a search here on XDA on how to do it.

Make sure that SuperUser is not set to automatically deny SU access to new apps.
If it is not or it does not seem to launch properly, download the SuperUser or the SuperSU flashable zip file and flash it through your recovery. That should fix the SU problem.
i downloaded apex launcher
