Superuser APP Issue.... CAUSED BY PREROOTED KERNEL??? - Xperia Play General

I was wondering why some root apps didnt work on my xperia play when they check if phone is rooted..... (For example chainfire gets loading forever like in the screenshot, while asking for superuser)
So, i was investigating with superuser app and looked at the superuser version (watch 2nd screenshot),.... Those symbols/numbers make me think that SU app has a development error or something.....
Im on .64 stock rom with darkforest kernel which is a prerooted kernel..... Maybe this causes app crashes when they are asking for root....
Can anyone tell my why happens this?? Its annoying to be always being forceclosing apps....
Thanks in advance
PD: I HAVE TO SAY THAT WHEN I CLICK ON UPDATE BINARIES IT GETS STOPPED CHECKING FOR INSTALLED VERSION (watch screenshot3 )

Mine says that under general and it works perfectly.

It doesn't matter what busybox version you have, problem remains

Yeah, i have installed the latest busybox version, and it usually works well, but sometimes gets like in the screenshots and have to reboot or go to settings>applications>select app> force detention to restart the app.... I think there is a bug with something...

I have installed 1.19.3 busybox version...Maybe i have to install 1.18.2, because its said that it works better.. What do you think?

Are you sure that you installed 1.19.3 ? I installed it too but stericson busybox app always reported that I have 1.16.2...
edit: Listen mate, you can check my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20775264&postcount=1542 before some time and see yourself that I had the same problem with Doomlord's kernel and no one could've help me...

SU binary outdated message...Z's CM7

Howdy.
I have been using Z's cm7 2.3.5 ROM for some time and I keep getting a Superuser binaries outdated message and the update fails when I try it.
I found an app in the market to address this issue but it doesn't work either.
Tried reinstalling SU and same thing.
Any ideas?
Have you tried downloading the SU Update Fixer from the market?

Busybox?

Educate me, do I want busy box?
I'm running ASOP#5 JB ROM. I installed an app wanting root access and it told me I need busy box. Do I need busy box on 4.1 or will it just make things behind the scenes messy?
Thanks

If you have a custom rom installed, which you seem too, you probably already have busybox installed
Which app is asking for it? might be a bug with the app
Yup, it's a custom rom, it's Raymans Jellybean ASOP rom.
The app is android overclock which I just wanted the desktop widget from it which apparently doesn't like JB on the cold boot.

Been keeping my eye on that one. How are you liking it so far?
I like the widget a lot. Uninstalled it since it kept crashing when the device booted. I think it's because I don't have busy box.
Still not sure if I need to install busy box with my rom or not.
I use setcpu for my overclocking.

I'm running the same ROM and was getting errors in ROM Toolbox Pro and when I ran Root Checker Pro the busybox check says that busybox doesn't exist in the expected location. Be sure to use the one in Playstore from Stericson. After busybox install, no more errors from ROM Toolbox. This installs a busybox installer which you will need to run once after the Playstore download.

Make sure that SuperUser is not set to automatically deny SU access to new apps.
If it is not or it does not seem to launch properly, download the SuperUser or the SuperSU flashable zip file and flash it through your recovery. That should fix the SU problem.

[FLASHABLE ZIP] Google Gapps + Amazon AppShop - HDX 7", 8.9" (Thor, Apollo)

BE SURE TO PLAY ON A SAFESTRAP ROM
Here is how to "easily" install Google Apps (gapps) on our HDX devices (tested on 7", should work on 8.9").
This procedure will keep all amazon app services working, thanks to an Xposed module.
Installation
Root your device
Install Xposed Framework + my xposed module "HDXPosed"
Copy thor-gapps-installer-1.zip to sdcard
Flash thor-gapps-installer-1.zip from safestrap recovery
Informations
thor-gapps-installer-*.zip is just stock jb gapps with "welcomescreen.apk" removed and stock launcher added if needed
all work is done in HDXPosed module, more information on the HDXPosed thread
Download
thor-gapps-installer-1.zip

Oups, forget to specifiy that i have the 7" model ...
Dunno, the main and most work is in the "services.odex" file, so maybe it's the same on both devices ! Is safestrap available on the 8.9 ? If there is a way to recover from "system" tricks then i could find the time to recompile this file for you guys.

Hi,
after a lot of work this night i finally got everything up and working including working play store downloads !
Here is a simple howto, i'm sure confirmed users won't have problems to get it working, and for other i'm sure there will be other howto in the next few days
BE SURE TO WORK ON A SAFESTRAP ROM
So here we go !
Start from a stock, clean backup
Remove a few system apps (amazon mp3, slik browser...) to free space on system partition for gapps else it won't completely install
Install gapps from recovery : gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip
Remove "/system/app/SetupWizard.apk" to bypass gapps welcome screen as it depends on stock "Settings.apk"
Remove "/system/app/MarketIntentProxy_1010.apk" (not sure if needed)
Replace "/system/framework/services.odex" with this one (recompiled with signature check disabled) : services.odex
Remove "/system/app/DownloadProvider.apk"
Remove "/system/app/DownloadProvider.odex"
Remove "/system/app/DownloadProviderUi.apk"
Remove "/system/app/DownloadProviderUi.odex"
Copy CM-10.1 DownloadProvider.apk to "/system/app/"
Copy CM-10.1 DownloadProviderUI.apk to "/system/app/"
Update google play games services to version 4.0.34 (not sure if needed anymore as it will probably be downloaded from playstore)
If you get some fc, try clearing cache and dalvik cache. I will maybe try to build a custom rom from that but time will probably miss me !
I'm sure that confirmed hackers here will get it working with the provided files and write a better howto soon
Enjoy and merry Christmas !

Edit: I somehow got into a boot loop. After I downloaded some updates, it restarted automatically to the kindle fire loading screen, then to the updating apps screen, then back to the Kindle Fire loading screen and kept on doing this. I had to hard reboot to get it to stop. Followed your instructions to a T. Any ideas? I did try to clear the cache and dalvik cache, but that did not help.

You mean you was able to download some updates from the market then boot loop ? After the hard reset is it working? I didn't had a lot of time to play with it but didn't had a problem yet. I may have done other tweeks that i forget but don't think so. I know i did "chmod 777 /data/dalvik-cache" as i think there was some permissions problem there but tougth it was not the case. Maybe it is..
A complete logcat output could help.
I have to go but will come back in a few hours to help..

Yep, after downloading some app updates from the google play market, it automatically restarted and looped. After the hard reset it did not work. I reverted back to my stock backup for the time being. I tried fixing permissions in Safestrap, but that did not work either. I wonder if others are having this problem.
I think there is not a lot of others as it's the first hack out there that (should) works !

One problem with it tough, gmail is not working anymore, something to do with the sync service ... while it work fine on my initial rom ! Can't understand but will probably find later ... in the meanwhile it can be used to test play store.
