atrix reboots after answering any call - Atrix 4G General

i have unlocked atrix bought from ebay reseller techno trade. every time i receive a call the phone freezes and then reboots. does anyone have the same problem? how can i return this phonefor replcement? i am located in europe

first thing you should do is make sure you are using it with a 3g sim card. if that is the case, i would then try a hard reset (device will delete all data and settings and revert back to brand new). if that doesnt work contact the store you bought it from and ask for an exchange.

How about talking to the seller? Contact him or PayPal.

Have you tried flashing the SBF (floating around in the dev forums somewhere)?

urgent help! screen problem?

Hello.
I sold my mytouch 3g on Amazon a while ago and someone had the following complaint:
screen freezing and unable to reset / reboot. google search reveal it is a known problem with HTC G2 but all methods tried have failed to resolve problem. no response from seller.
I have been away in Belgium and could not resolve the problem so I was charged to refund the guy! Can I fix this so I can get my money back? I will get him to send me the phone.

Did you intentionally sell him a faulty product?
The device was pre-owned by you right?
Did you have any issues with it when you owned it?
You can't really do anything until you get the device back and I would honestly flash the stock rom on it and leave it up to him to root.
Oh... and you don't need to post several times in the same thread just because you didn't get a response. Just be patient. If you need to add to the thread then feel free to edit your original post and not reply to it.

Hi m8...
If you got your phone from Vodafone gr then you must return iy at once...
For me this is not a software problem.....Its a hardware problem...
The unlock (no root just unlock) of the device has nothing to do mango update or any update and warranty ...The phone restore that you made is OK to bring the phone in his original state...
See here for the Greek Trophy forum

You just can't go there without the receipt. You need a proof that someone got it from Vodafone...and its not stolen
Com'n m8...just ask the one that gave you the phone for both the receipt and the Vodafone store
I ve got the box its content the stickers on it and everything.. But the receipt
Ask whoever gave you the phone as a present for the receipt... or give them the phone back and they take it.
But do it fast.

Signal suddenly very poor

Hi Guys,
Yesterday my Galaxy S2 suddenly stopped picking up signal. It basically spends most of its time with either no bars or displaying a big circle with a line through it instead of the bars.
I went for a drive around town and it occasionally picks up a signal but usually only 1 or 2 bars, and it doesn't keep it very long.
I tried upgrading to the latest firmware using KIES and also tried a factory reset. No luck.
I tried my sim card in another phone and it worked fine. Tried another sim card in my phone and again got no signal.
Any ideas what it could be? I'm thinking the antenna is broken or something .
Any thing further I can do to diagnose/troubleshoot it? This is my first android phone so please treat me like a complete noob
I have not rooted or put on any custom roms, etc.
Cheers,
Martin
If its an unhacked phone clean the sim card make sure its seated .
Factory reset you have done so i would return to vendor .
jje
Is there a way to tell if it is trying to use the internal antenna or external?
Is there a way to force it to use the internal antenna?
Actually I got a same problem like you. And I had rooted it. Hoho~~
I contacted with Samsung servive centre, they said it's a small problem, but don't took long time and money on it within warranty.
I will go ther again with my receipt.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I've actually sent mine to samsung for warranty repair too, unfortunately becuase I am in Australia and bought the phone from the UK I had to send it back there, and due to a customs hold up it only got to Samsung yesterday .
However, the information in your post gives me hope that it won't take long for them to repair it and they won't kick up a warranty fuss, so hopefully I will have it back soon.
Cheers,
Martin

galaxy s5 sim locked after reformat

Hey everyone, My dad got his sim locked Verizon galaxy s5 G-900V unlocked a year back and it was working great with his T-mobile sim card. Until few weeks ago when he started to experience that his signal kept dropping and anytime he made calls he got this message on the other line stating ""your account is not authorized to make calls to this phone number "" and this one as well """your phone is not activated to activate your phone please press n key""" . This problem kept persisting until he only could make calls a few times a day because he wasn't getting any signal. I thought that a factory reset might fix the problem but after I did that to my surprise the phone sim-locked back itself to Verizon , I also noticed that if you try and make a call with the locked phone it gives the same message about the phone not being activated like before. So my questions is why did the factory reset sim-lock a phone that was already unlocked and second any idea what was the cause of those messages that prevented the phone to make calls and the fact that they are the exact same messages you get when you are making a call with a incorrect sim card with a sim locked phone.
Bump ... Anyone ???
how was the device unlocked?

Tell him to take it back around, it shouldn't have locked after a reset

Its been over a year. I dont think they will allow that. I always thought that when I phone was unlocked it was unlocked im surprised that after a year of using it one reformat would cause it to sim lock

No signal for a while now..

Hi guys. I've been having this odd issue for the past three days, and now I have to carry a second phone for calls, which defeats the purpose of the phone in the first place.
Out of the blue, my phone can't connect to the mobile network. It just shows no bars and a "refreshing" icon, continuously spinning. I have tried restarting the phone, turning the airplane mode on and off, removing the SIM,tried another SIM, soft reset, hard reset, created a new APN with the details directly from the carrier, manually searched for the network, automatically searched for it, you name it. Everything without success.
Has anyone experienced that? It's extremely frustrating. Let me know if younhave any other ideas. Cheers!

If nothing helps, especially soft/hard resetting it, then I suggest you should return it to warranty...

Can't do that, unfortunately. The phone was a present and the person that gave it to me doesn't have the warranty papers anymore...

I see... ;/
Well the last method I'd do if I were you, is to try flashing different original ROM (.kdz) using LGUP software or any known method.
If the phone is within the time frame for the warranty you can contact LG and see if they can verify the purchase and see if they'll honor the warranty.
Are you sure nobody blacklisted your device? If this happened all of a sudden, check your phone's IMEI on any blacklist checkers online.

Problem solved!
It seems that the problem is indeed, the fact that my phone was blacklisted. I thought I got a good deal on this phone if I bought it second-hand. Apart from contacting the seller, is there anything else that I can do? I don't know where he bought the phone from, and it is unlocked as well. Any recommendations?

On what network did you use this phone? I would recommend you contact both your network and go on http://imeipro.info/ and contact them and ask them what steps can you take to remove your phone's IMEI from the blacklist db.
