Wifi PEAP Authentication Problems - Wildfire General

Hey,
I have been facing this issue over at my college Wifi . The connection is WPA_EAP secured that requires you to login with ID/Pass to connect . The wifi connects fine but after that when i go to the browser it requires me to login to a local server and install certificate
In browser it shows to continue with the certificate . When i press continue it should take me to a pop-up for login which never comes instead it just goes to a blank page.
this process works fine on Iphone and others but the problem lies with Android.
Any solutions?

Any solution guys

Problem with DNS?!

Hi there, I'm having problem connecting to the internet using WIFI on my Tornado smartphone (SP5m)... it always connects but takes a while to locate the url, it says "Locating..." in Internet Explorer for a long time and then finally open up the url. To me, it looks like a DNS issue?!
And that's using my own WIFI router at home with a DSL line (5 Mbits), no firewall on it, etc.
But whenever I'm connected to any other WIFI access point (e.g. coffee shops, etc), web pages and other internet stuff would load and open as quick as any WIFI laptop, any thoughts??
Thank you all for your time,
highmighty
Could it be because my personal wifi connection uses wpa encryption as oppose to no encryption at all (like in coffee shops or elsewhere)?
I wouldn't have thought it would be anything to do with the WPA encrpytion.
I sometimes get Locating... in PIE and it hangs, then eventually appears with a DNS error.
In my case it is because PIE is trying to load the page, but at the same time the device looses the connection to the Wireless AP because it's lost signal or whatever and as a result gets a DNS error.
On my end it can't be related to my device loosing the connection to the wireless AP because I'm siting next to my wireless router and the page will ALWAYS finally load up after spending couple of seconds on "Locating...". I temporarely fixed it by assigning a manual IP/subnet/gateway/dns instead of using DHCP to connect to my personnal wireless AP, now web pages are loading super fast, same as any laptop or desktop machine.
Still unsolved as to why it's doing this? Why in PIE using DHCP it stays a long time on "Locating..." while in Opera for example, and using the same DHCP settings, it loads in a jiffy?!
DNS Problem
Hello... I had the same problem and the way to solve it is assigning a DNS server to your WiFi Connection:
Start->Settings->Connections Tab->WiFi->Network Adapters Tab-> Select IEEE 802.11b/g->Name Servers Tab
And write down the following numbers:
DNS: 80.58.61.250
Alt DNS: 80.58.61.254
Leave the WINS and AltWINS empty.
Good luck!
Cheers

Proxy Connection Problem with ISA

WM 6.1 PRO and network shares

Hello:
I have an XDA with WifI, whcih I can connect fine to my wireless network.
I can ping my server from the XDA, all works fine.
I cannot connect to any network shares on the server. I have tried the built in windows explorer and Total commander also, both have the same issue.
I type in the IP address fo the server and the share in question
e.g. \\192.168.0.1\MyShare - the connection keep timing out
I have also tried the server WINS name as well, (\\server\MyShare) I get the same problem.
I suspect it is an authentication thing - no permission, however, I never get asked for a username / password, so cannot type them in.
Anyone got any ideas about how to fix this?
Thanks

PPTP VPN to windows server

I keep getting "server hung up" when I attempt to login to our vpn server. When I provide an incorret password it knows it's incorrect but when I type it in correctly it seems to stall and fail. I've tried over WiFi and 3G but both don't work. Sorry for being so noob here.

[Q] cannot connect to EAP university network!

Hi
I'm currently using the stock 3.1 rom and prefer not to install custom roms. I can't connect to my university wifi network which uses EAP network. Is there any way to fix this issue?
Thanks a lot!
MY uni uses EAp with MSCHAP, I have no problems connecting, however they provide instructions for how to do it as well, have you spoken to your Uni's IT dept ?

I haven't talked to them, but when trying to connect, we put in ID (email) and password. Then it usually connects just fine. My previous tablet worked just fine and my laptop worked fine with the network too. Is there something else that I need to put in in other spaces when I type my ID and password? There were spaces for other stuff, but I have no idea what those are. HOWEVER, other devices connected just fine without filling out those..
EDIT: I just checked my university website for how to connecting it, and it says it's PEAP type, and WPA2, AES, etc..not sure what those are, but..
And it also says that the authenticate method is Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2). So I assume it's the same as yours? But I don't know why it wasn't connecting.. It kept saying "connecting..." and does nothing. I can connect to home network just fine. Help please!

I've had the same problem with our work network, the fix from the thread gets everything back in line and it usually sticks for quite a while before popping up again.
