What do these symbols mean - Nexus S General

I have no idea what these symbols mean can comeone help me out?
When you scrolll all the way to the rightmost screen at the top there are 5 symbols. THe first one on the left is wifi then next is bluetooth then the other 3 symbols idk what they mean.
One sort of looks like crosshairs, the other one has two arrows bent in the shape of a circle and the last one if the letter A in the middle of a symbol that look like the sun.
What the hell do these mean!!??

Thanks alot, WHen the GPS is lashing at the top what exactly does that mean, Is it just the phone getting its location or something? And what does backgraound data do. WHat is the difference between having it off or on?

Just to be clear the 2 arrows in a circle is auto sync, even with it deselected background data remains checked.

When its flashing it means its currently being used, if its not flashing then no application is using it. Your phone only uses the GPS when an app needs it
I think background data and auto sync means your weather, Facebook, e mails, etc. update by themselves every 30 mins or so

Im assuming you're using CM7.. this is customizable.
Settings -> CM Settings -> Interface -> Notification power widget
Want it off? Uncheck Notification power widget
To change whats there: Widget buttons.
Re-order: Widget button order.
When theres a light below it.... its on
No light.. its off.
Pretty much self-explanatory.

I am having issues with it trying to setup. It is not force closing but when I setup the button, when I tap it from the home screen, it goes into setting instead of just showing the apps I have assigned to it. Not sure what I am doing wrong or if it is a bug on Xoom.
Edit: The "Blur" option in advanced settings does not seem to work. Only shows black background and the circle centered in the screen is not really centered... it is too far to the bottom in landscape cutting off the bottom icons in the circle.
I did it looks great for me love it

Completely disable notification light

Is this possible? There's an app called LEDs Hack in the market but it sucks.
If you use cm7, you can go into settings and disable every light that comes out of your phone, even tweak the dim/notification levels etc. I've yet to see an app in the market do this. Led hacks only kills the bottom lights on my evo I believe.

If you are using a sense rom, you can go to menu>settings >display>notification flash. Unchecked them all. I might imagine that you'd also have to disable settings in 3rd party apps, possibly.

Thanks, but for most apps you can only turn notifications on or off. You can't disable the flashing LED but leave notifications on.
Black electrical tape?
Lisa: Hey dad, that light says check engine...
Homer: Uh oh... the tape must have fallen off.... there, problem solved.

Sense 2.0, revert to 1.0 notification bar/menu?

I might be the only one that doesn't like the notification bar with the quick access menu and list of recently used apps. I prefer the old version coupled with using widgetsoid instead to have only the settings I want/need, and not take up half the pull-down menu with the recent apps.
Is it possible to revert only the notification bar, or delete the quick access/recent apps options?
Not sure but i love that bar it makes finding the app I use most often ez like wifi tether.

True, but how is it any different than holding down the home button for 2 seconds?
Its really not in any way but i always forget that you can hold down the home button for 2sec but i am constantly reminded where my recent apps are every time i get a text, email or missed call...... Maybe thats just me though i can see how you would not like it.

Yeah I hate that new pull down bar it was a good idea but I'm so use to using the home key that even on a GB ROM I still use the home key

Damn, assuming that no response can only mean that it's impossible. That's a shame, really liked sense beyond this issue.

Eclair "Connection" Bar On Gingerbread

When Eclair was installed on my device, it came with what I'll call a "connection bar", that contained 4 icons, for different features (blue tooth, wifi, GPS and brightness, IIRC). It was a very convenient app to have. Is there a similar app/feature that works on Gingerbread?
Thanks in advance
Press and hold your home screen to add widget. Select 'power control' from widget list.
Enjoy!

The camera is a 4MP sensor. There's nothing you can do about it
Group Messaging and Quick Settings in the notification bar.
"AirDroid" integration or similar app/feature ..
when I am working on my computer at home it would be nice to get some notifications on my computer and to have the ability to send messages etc. from my pc, so I don't always have to switch over to the phone to read the messages etc.
Long press back for menu.
Quick reply for SMS.
Notification quick settings.
CIFS (i can dream) support.

Battery percentage optional icon in notification bar
Integration of email and sms into Blinkfeed.
Option to jump back to top on Blinkfeed. Currently, lots of upscrolling is needed.
Settings controls or shortcuts in pull-down notification bar. Similar to blackberry and Samsung phones

What's CIFS? Agreed, quick reply for SMS would be handy and notification quick settings would be amazing.

I believe you can press the home button to jump to the top of Blinkfeed, but I am not 100% certain as I do not have the HTC One yet. Will probably get it early April

Only if it's your default home screen.
I would love to see the notification bar made black on all home screens.
If you go to an app or the settings menu, then go home again (not Blinkfeed) the transition from black to clear really isn't nice.
Also I want to turn off IME switcher and power save notifications!!

I just hope its a 4.2.2 release and they don't take forever to update the device.

Sooo, you want AirDroid? Why should HTC add more bloat when you can install it yourself in 4 seconds?

Press the status/notification bar at the top to go to the top of the list. I would like an option for horizontal scrolling, hold back for menu and the option to delete the blinkfeed page. & add it back if wanted as a new page.
Ignore
So with sense 5 you can't have battery percentage in the top bar... wtf?
1. option to add contents to blinkfeed.
2. Notification toggles.
3. Quick Reply SMS.
4. Notification quick settings
5. Return back the missing lockscreen themes(Clock, FM Radio, People)

1. Long pres menu option
2. Stability
3. Speed
4. More content for blinkfeed
