I am seeing the same thing. Installed SC 2.8 and then the voodoo kernel by itself. File conversion is not taking place. I even tried to disable voodoo and then re-enable. Nothing.
+1 I found out though from irc if u installed miui,at any point it will screw up voodoo

yeah, i had the same problem. flash SC 2.6v instead of 2.8v, since 2.8 doesn't seem to be working for voodoo conversions. once you've gotten 2.6 installed and you've heard the woman's voice telling you your file conversion happened successfully, then you can go to 2.8. that was my experience anyway...
Anyone still having trouble go install voodoo eb01 kernel

From reading various threads I see that OCLF can be applied to Bionix Final. The problem is, I can't seem to get it to install. After I installed EXT2 Tools, the OCLF option does not show up. When I click on it, to see what error comes up it says: "You already appear to have another lag fix installed (/system/bin/playlogos1 less than 5KB)"
But I don't or haven't had any lag fix installed...
What am I doing wrong?

I was in root explorer and accidentally deleted the swype.apk file from system/app. I then restarted my phone and I no longer have swype in my input methods. I tried taking the apk of it off of my friends phone and installing it onto mine but it said installation failed. Please help!
Sent From My Samsung Fascinate Using XDA App
You should just be able to place the apk in system/apps and them the .lib in system lib folder. Search the themes and app forum for swyoe and u should be able to find the files, pm me if you have problems, I've ran into just about every swyoe problem there is lol

Also reboot after placing the files

I recommend using root explorer to search for all swype files, delete them all, and then register and download the swype beta. Its MUCH better.

If you are running 2.8 you are already running the latest version of Swype. No need to install Beta. What comes packaged with 2.8 has a newer version number than the Beta.

Interesting, I didn't know this. Why doesn't it look the same as other swype keyboards on other phones such as the EVO and the beta?

I noticed the difference in looks as well but I'm not able to draw any conclusions. Perhaps the one in SC is a engineering release.
I am pretty sure I installed SC 2.5 but im not sure if it was a voodoo or nonvoodoo install, how do i check bc i want to upgrade to 2.8 but I dont want to delete data, how do i figure out which I installed....
Check your Quadrant score. If it is around 1000 you installed nonvoodoo. If it is around 1500 then you installed voodoo.
If you still aren't sure of which one you installed just remember that the voodoo version can be installed (you don't want to install nonvoodoo over voodoo).
I scored 956 and 1056....must non voodoo
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
so i installed the voodoo version of 2.8 and i still only scored and 896 on quadrant.....wtf?
You have to install the eb01 voodoo kernel as well.

No, the rom includes the kernel (which is based on EB16 so you don't want to go back to EB01).
However, this problem has been happening to some people when installing 2.8 (including me). Try installing SC 2.6 voodoo and when booting you should hear the voice doing the conversion. Once it's done and you boot up, just reboot into recovery and install 2.8 voodoo and you should now have 2.8 with voodoo enabled.
I don't know why this happens or why this works but I read this in another post and it worked for me so you might want to give it a shot.
Edit: It was jereeder who I got this info from so if it works for you then thank him.

It is available through the donate version of Liberty Toolbox on the market! Support your ROM developers, it's only $5. I am installing it now. I will report back with all the awesomeness that has been having people froth at the mouth lol. Nom nom nom
Liberty 2.0 will be released for the masses in a couple days on the forums. They are calling this some what of a beta stage. Either way, I don't think they would release something that would need to be tested for a beta stage for $5 LOL.
Remember, you have to SBF if you are on the Gingerbread leak. If you are not on the Gingerbread leak or any Gingerbread ROM, a simple whipe data/cache will work. This has been confirmed by the developers themselves.
Edit:
My Quadrant score is 1388 on clean installed Liberty 2.0 running 1.0Ghz. Overclocked to 1.2Ghz, which is what I normally run, it's 1629. AT 1.3Ghz, I get 1724.
Edit #2: Liberty 2.0.1 has been released and you can download 2.0 for free on droidforums. Also, in the Liberty Toolbox (donate version) Liberty Gingerbread is available for download!
So is 2.0 gingerbread or still froyo?
It is froyo
Has anyone else installed this yet? I want some others to wiegh in before I give my opinions about the ROM.
Yea, My first impression is that it's a lot like 1.5, in fact at a glance you can't tell the difference. I'm at work and have not got to play with it a lot yet though.

You will need to SBF back to Froyo 2.3.340 yes.
I am not yet impressed with 2.0. I mean, yes it's snappy and quick but I don't see what the hype was all about. It is stripped down and apps open quickly but, there isn't a whole lot of change from 1.5
I think this is the best it will get. Unless you theme 2.0 or any other Liberty version, it's plain as plain can be. If your looking for speed and willing to do a lot of the work your self as far as theming and improving the ui look, I was kinda of let down by 2.0. Everyone praises how great it is...am I missing something here, lol?
I liked 1.5, but it had a couple bugs. I am hoping those bugs will be gone completely in 2.0. I was also hoping 2.0 would bring something new and cool to the table, but I really don't see it. I tried a couple other roms, and I thought liberty was faster than any of the others I tried. To early to tell if the bugs are fixed in 2.0.
I am getting a force close when I try to open liberty settings in 2.0. Other than that no real negatives yet.
For anyone looking I just found the settings force close fix on twitter.
Force close in liberty settings fix: download toolbox > access liberty settings by pressing menu> settings in the toolbox.

Let me retract my previous statements lol. Battery life is amaaaazing so far! I themed 2.0 and man-o-man....2.0 is running quite fast! There isn't a single issue for me. I installed the two Liberty Tool Boxes from the Market and that stopped the FCs when opening the Liberty settings. Other then that, holly molly is alls I have to say!
This is now a true 5 star ROM, all the way! Loading this to me gf's DX!! Locked bootloaders are a thing of the past once you really get this ROM going.
This doesnt seem better than rubix? seems like it comes with more crap I dont need.

It's easy to remove the bloat from Liberty. Take the time to read the OP before you look a gift horse in the mouth. Jerk.

Were you running Froyo or Gingerbread? Did you wipe data/Cache before or after installing installing Liberty 2.0?
I used the wipe data/cache in the install que in the new Liberty Toolbox.

Can I restore some of my non system apps using the backup I made with Titanium backup from 2.3?
Auto flash and auto brightness functionality?
Contact pictures
When someone calls you..on the answer screen the contact pic shows up on the upper half of the screen, cutting off and severely distorting the image. \
Anyone else have this issue..or know how to fix it? Are there any answer screen options...i noticed the lock-screen style options don't work...
Also, I am using Go Lanucher...but every time I go into an app, then go back to the home screen, either via home button or back button, the launcher has to re-load it self, as it doesn't seem to be staying persistent in memory. I remember an option in CM7 to keep the launcher locked in memory...but can't seem to find it here in ICS..Setting the persistent option in Go Launchers settings has no effect.
BLN?
BLN doesn't seem to be working...
Also, the ringtone only plays once when somone calls...and doesn't replay...it also takes a few seconds for the caller id (contact info and picture to show)...\
Not sure if this is rom or kernel related.
