My mobile internet doesn't seem to work on my lg gt540 what so ever although it works when connected to wifi I've contacted virgin (my provider) and I get the same BS like we will get back to you etc
I was just wondering if any of you guys could shed some light on this

EDIT : running 2.1 also this is a orange phone that I unlocked to allow use of my virgin sim could this be the problem?
I had a similar thing but going from 2.1 to 2.3.2 - I think you need to set up the APN setting for Virgin. They should have a web page explaining what the settings are. Its setup in settings, wireless & networks, mobile networks, access point names.

I've tried various APN settings in an attempt to get MMS working on Wind Mobile, but have had no luck.
Anyone have confirmed working settings for Wind?
Is Auto Internet setting working in your phone? My unit came with grayed out Auto Internet setting, so I flash the firmware to UK Generic, and that fixed it...

No, says its not available with my sim.
The first comment on this Wind Mobile community board thread has both data & MMS settings. They're talking about the N1 but the X10 if not the same should be close enough to be able to figure out where the settings go.

Dude same here! I got an unlocked g2 and data works fine but not mms.
I tried so many different variations of settings floating around and even wind couldn't fix it for me.
Don't know what to do now. Maybe gonna go into a store...
Hi I live in Canada and i just bought the HTC Droid incredible and i am currently using it on the mts allstream network.So far I have got voice and sms working. At first I was able to connect to the 1xrtt data and was happily using until a two days ago I could not connect to it anymore. According to the netgenie app the reason is due to apn fail and from my understanding these are the same settings that enable MMS which my phone lack at this moment. So far I have downloaded APNBackup onto a demo HTC phone (forgot which model) and backed up it's apn settings and traansfer it over to my phone using bluetooth filetransfer. After that I deleted my apn settings and restored these settings onto my phone and nothing has happen. I am wondering if anyone knows what I am doing wrong and if they can guide in the right direction into solving my problem.
I wondering if there was a way to make the phone accept ota programming from my carrier which would program these settings for me instead

i've got andoird rom mdeejay evo sence revolution 2.3 . and everything is working ok, just the internet and mms aint, when im at home the wifi is ok but still cant send mms over wifi at home .
can someone pls help me as it is really giving me a headache .
i'm having some issues with this too i guess the problem is from virgin piggy backing t-mobile... tried both settings neither work! only had this problem since i upgraded my android rom mind you....
Yeah since I went on andoird it doesn't work.tried a few now and still can't get it to work. It works ok on winmo.
Not sure what else to try.

Am on a virgin contract as well and in their website is the "how to" in setting Internet and MMS setting. Works all the time when I'm testing desire builds.
BTW MMS can't be sent over WiFi. Never has been.
have you tried the setting on sd/ram builds ?
as i'm using froyo superram sense by darkstone
and internet works fine but mms doesn't
when i use the virgin settings for internet the internet stops working too lol might try a different build
or could you possibly send me a copy of your config.xml (not sure of the exact name?) for network settings?

Got an HTC HD2 booted to Android with this build http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954030 and now my 3G won't work. Even after reconfiguring my Wireless Network Settings and APNs it still doesn't work, but if i change my phone back to WinMo my 3G works. If I boot it back to Android it wont work

Got my phone from US but I live in the Philippines so maybe it has something to do with my Wireless Service Provider?

yeah, I even called my provider for the settings but it still doesn't work

Hi all
I'm using HACKDRIOD v0.30 rom and everything is working fine, Well almost everything but I cant seem to use the mobile network to browse the internet. I can make calls and send text messages and I can browse internet via wifi. I tried configuring the access point settings and no luck. As a last resort I need help on this issue.
I hope someone solve this problem and top marks to racht for a smooth and good looking rom.

I have the same problem, i can't connect to WIFI (0.25, 0.30, FroyoBread and some others), only on v0.20 works...
I fixed it. The setting o2 were sending me were for an iphone on prepay not pay and go on andriod. What balloons.

Actually you can ask your network provider to provide you the correct setting for your phone! I think calling the customer service will help.
