As I was going through the setting, I can't seem to find the option to keep all of my txt msg. The phone limit my txt to 999 messages per thread. I usally archive all of my txt msg on the captivate. There is an option in the messages setting to turn off the auto delete but I can't seem to find it on the atrix. Is there a hack or app that allow me to have all my txt stay on the phone?

hi, is there any way (registry tweak perhaps) that could automatically save a text mesage to the drafts folder whenever you are composing a text within htc messaging and you accidently hit back meaning you lose what you've wrote?
thanks
bump, this would be so beneficial to me
Yea that would be awesome and would be even awesomerrr would be if we could make it so that if your phone didn't have signal the second when a message sent when it got connected again it would send the message. i cant explain why windows mobile doesn't support this...
All of a sudden today my messaging app and handcent sms crashed. so i decided to turn off my phone and reboot it. now all my messages are gone. is there anyway to get them back? cause this really sucks. i had everything there.
I was told when the reserved memory amount for text messages reach a certain level it will purge all text messages. Sounds like you reached that limit.
Aw man. I didn't know this. That sucks, I had some mms pictures I hadn't saved yet. thanks man.
I know the iphone doesn't purge messages. Is there someway to increase the reserve? I don't wasn't my phone to erase all messages when the reserve is met.
Messaging>settings
uncheck delete old messages as limits are reached
yea, that's already unchecked. been unchecked and still all my messages were deleted.
I have a quick question. Is there a way to force a "text" message to be sent as MMS instead of SMS using the stock messaging app? It looks like right now, if the message is all text, then only after the 6th 140 character message will it convert to MMS, otherwise it stays on SMS and splits it into 6 SMS messages. I want to choose to convert it sooner if I want. Is that possible? I know that if I insert a picture then it will convert to MMS immediately, but I want text ONLY MMS. Thanks!

Don't know why you want to force txt mssg to be sent as MMS but there is a setting in stock messaging app that combines all the split mssgs to be send as one whole mssg. Don't know if this what you want tho.

Create a google voice number. Then use that number with whoever you want to text as a group text. It'll become MMS instead of SMS for group texting.
Hi. Have a Verizon s5. Was wondering. Even after I delete my messages in the stock messaging app. They still show up under phone -> recent -> all messages? Is there a way when I delete the messages from message app it's totally deleted. Instead of doing a double delete? Thanks
Try going to manage applications and look under all programs and clear cache on phone

I did that. Will show up again after u receive new text. Only solution I see is to delete it from messages and then also delete from recent messages.
I sometimes take a photo and then share them via the camera app. I always choose GoSmsPro since it's the text messaging program I use. I then select the recipient and add a message. Clicking the send button does not send the message. It simply ques the message in GoSMSPro and makes me go into the app to send the message. I only found out about this when I never got a reply and went to make sure the image was sent. Additionally, GoSMSPro used to turn on my data network in order to send photos and then turn it off when finished. Now it simply tells me to check the network.
How do I get GoSmsPro to send the messages and insure that they actually go without having to compose the message in GoSmsPro since their add a photo feature is less than easy to use?
All I could think of to do is to enable your mobile data before you send, try sending, and if it goes through, disable it. My phone used to auto enable like yours did, but now it does not.
