I sometimes take a photo and then share them via the camera app. I always choose GoSmsPro since it's the text messaging program I use. I then select the recipient and add a message. Clicking the send button does not send the message. It simply ques the message in GoSMSPro and makes me go into the app to send the message. I only found out about this when I never got a reply and went to make sure the image was sent. Additionally, GoSMSPro used to turn on my data network in order to send photos and then turn it off when finished. Now it simply tells me to check the network.
How do I get GoSmsPro to send the messages and insure that they actually go without having to compose the message in GoSmsPro since their add a photo feature is less than easy to use?
All I could think of to do is to enable your mobile data before you send, try sending, and if it goes through, disable it. My phone used to auto enable like yours did, but now it does not.

hi, is there any way (registry tweak perhaps) that could automatically save a text mesage to the drafts folder whenever you are composing a text within htc messaging and you accidently hit back meaning you lose what you've wrote?
thanks
bump, this would be so beneficial to me
Yea that would be awesome and would be even awesomerrr would be if we could make it so that if your phone didn't have signal the second when a message sent when it got connected again it would send the message. i cant explain why windows mobile doesn't support this...
I have a problem when people send me MMS from an email or if they use one of those "free text app" on their iPod and it uses an email to send MMS to my phone number.
I'll get the notification in the bar from the correct sender(the email address) and it'll say Picture Message. I tap on the notification and it takes me to the messaging app where its there in my list of conversations for a split second, then disapears. I can't get it to stay, or show me the message. It's like the messaging app is deleting it before I get a chance to open it.
How do I fix this?
Attached in an example notification. When I tap on it. It's in my conversation list and vanishes before I can go into that particular message.

I got the Samsung Gear at IO (yea) and have been going through the user adjustment phase, happily have pretty much everything working (I use a Galaxy Nexus as the phone stock. I receive text and I can send emails (from the watch) but for some reason I can't send text from the watch. It says it is sent, goes through all the motions, asks for recipient, clarifies to send to the mobile number and gets the text via voice and then says it is sending and gives a success green check, but the message is lost does not show on phone hangout or messaging log, nor does the recipient get it.. Anyone have any ideas?? or is my problem unique to me?
Hidden choice message on Phone for sending text
Finally found my "missing texts.. when I was sending, the phone was opening a choice dialog to choose between Google voice or messaging, I chose messaging and checked always and all is now working, buy the way retweeting to twitter using the bunting app has a similar issue, it opens the native vs edit retweet chice, which cannot be set to default one way so you need to pull the phone out...
Added a number to my phone today but all texts I sent to her instantly failed. She could send to me and I would receive it but I couldn't send to her.
Was using Textra when this started. Tried to use the messaging app to see if it would work but it would let me send any messages with Textra set as the default messaging app.
I changed the default to Messaging and was able to text her. Went into Textra and it also wouldn't work unless I set it to be the default.
1. Can you not use other texting apps while defaulted to something else?
2. Any idea why I couldn't send to her? (don't know what phone she is on)
I'm having this strange issue where my messenger has decided to start converting conversations to MMS automatically for some reason. It seems to be when I am texting iphone users, but I can't 100% confirm that.
For simplicity's sake let's say I start a new text message conversation with someone. I add them to the recipients section and send them a message. First one works fine. Now I press the back key to go back to the screen where all my conversations are shown. Instead of the contact name that was there when I started conversation, the phone number is displayed followed by the @provider.com (IE [email protected]). If I go back into the conversation i get a little popup at the bottom saying "Converting to MMS." The contact at the top is still listed as the phone number and not the contact name. If I try sending a message it doesn't go through.
I scrolled through my conversation window and I noticed that my phone also converted several old conversations in this same fasion (changed the recipient to a [email protected]). Now anytime i need to send a text to one of these people I have to start a new conversation every single time.
I tried to clear cache out and data for the messaging app and it continued to happen. The weirdest part about this is that the default messaging app, and gosms both convert the conversations, but textra does not.
Has anyone ever experienced this type of behavior before? I did some googling but couldn't turn anything up.
Something similar: when I write slightly longer SMS, it tells me: converting to mms, and they don't go through. This didn't happen to my previous phones. . But I did not notice the change in recipient ID.

I think you cab set the max length inside an XML in system. I can't remember which duke though, sorry.
It sounds like you have a short limit, which causes the text to become an MMS.

try another sms app!
if it works fine with another app then go to setting > apps > select samsung sms app > storage : clear cache & data then force stop!
:good:
