[q] magldr help - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey guys well I'm having really bad problems with Magldr and my phone. My phone just randomly restarted, then wouldn't get by the HTC bootsplash screen. But now, it won't even go in to Magldr or turn on, unless it's plugged in to my USB. So now, when I plug in the USB, the phone starts to boot up by the HTC screen then goes to the Magldr bootloader where it says From NAND, 1234 GO! screen.
But after this nothing happens and just repeats the same thing over and over again.
I've tried flashing different ROM's and different SD cards but they all have the same problem.
Any way I can fix it? Thanks.
LS

I'd suggest running a Task29 from bootloader, then starting again with installing magldr etc. I was also having some problems getting a rom to boot, so I've just returned after going all the way back to my stock winmo rom and all is good again.

Just the man I was hoping to help me lol. Is there a guide on that anywhere? I'm fairly new so don't really know what Task29 is. One thing - I tried to boot to HSPL and it wouldn't.
EDIT: After several tries, I'm in HSPL 2.08 now. Now I just have to find out how to do the rest. Do I keep an SD card in or does it matter?

Use this tool and select the option to run Task29. It formats the entire NAND area. From bootloader, connect to pc and run the tool, watch progress and as it reaches 100% hold the vol down button in so that the phone boots back to bootloader (if you miss it no biggy, just pull the battery and boot into bootloader). Then reinstall magldr etc.
You can leave the sd card in, makes no difference.

Thanks. Fingers crossed this works. Don't want a bricked phone.

As long as you have hspl you'll be fine. I've done this procedure hundreds of times

So I've ran the Task 29 but nothing's different. Still keeps rebooting. Any other tips?

Check your battery pins. Sometimes the copper pins get bent a little out of alignment. Just gently straighten them out by hand. Make sure that you are gentle in future when removing and especially inserting the battery.

You are f*cking god Clyde. Thank you so much. That's what it was. How do you know so much about the HD2? Great man. Do you have a Paypal?

Glad to have found the problem. Those battery pins have caused a few headaches, as I say be careful with them in future. I learn't just by reading the threads and having been around the block a few times . It's not necessary to give me any payment, but if you really want to buy me a pint, there is a donate link to my Paypal account just above my avatar. Thanks m8

Haha yeah, I thought my phone was done and dusted by now. Still going though, best phone EVER. Well if somebody helps me, I like to help them back.
I'll donate soon, when I receive my wages.

Maybe someone can rescue me (quick! EEK!)

Hi all,
Maybe someone can help me out!
I am stuck at work - cant even really surf but had to post as I just feckered my mates HD2!
BOOOOO!!
So I installed HSPL and its still there.
Flashed up to energy ROM (APRIL 1st)
Then got stuck in reboot cycle - phone wouldnt boot unless it had power plugged in.
Took battery out of it and put mine in it which had higher charge - not much.
Then I got it booted into 6.5. Customised and changed settigns for Vodaphone.
Rebooted and phone stuck in loop again.
Couldnt get back into Vodaphone.
Went to bootloader and then used the official:
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe
Flashed the bugger.
Then tried to boot again.
No boot without power inserted
Phone will not complete boot even with power
gives HTC white welcome, shows ROM etc
vibrates backto HTC white welcome.
Rinse
Repeat
Can anyone give me any ideas what I can do with this? He is coming to get it at 5.30; I am meant to have FPSECE Morph gear and all sorts of other shizzle for him
He is going to get a brick
any ideas would be GREATLY welcome.
no flames please if I missed something, I am desperate to sort this quick and quiet.
Try make Task29 and then reflash Radio and ROM, it could help you i think...
Have you installed radio 2.08 ?
You should. You can install it by downloading it and use customRUU to install the file.
Put phone in bootloader first.
Your mate's phone will be revived
What radio do you have installed. The NRG roms require radio 2.08.50 in order to boot.
Yea sounds like a radio issue. You didn't mention what phone? US Tmo HD2 or everywhere else HD2?
Is GSM HD2
I have done all above task 29 new radio - loads of roms.....stuck in circle.
Phone will not boot without apower lead in it
Ahh feck [email protected]
What version radio does it read then when you are stuck in your bootscreen ?
is it still 2.06 or 2.08 now ?
Installing HSPL doen NOT upgrade your Radio.
What is your SPL version ?
And "fecking ass" is groce. Try fecking some koent.

Actually they dont require 2.08... they require a radio without .51 numbering.
You can use
2.07.50.27
or
2.08.50.08
either will work just fine.

True, I use 2.07 (old signature LOL), but just mentioned 2.08 as it's the recommended one.
Oh ****e
Ok all,
Big warning to all here:
See my attached image.
I bent the left most battery connection pin out a tiny little bit - so little I didnt notice it.
Then the phone would obviouslly only boot without the power plugged in.
The pin was being pushed out! and not connecting with the battery.
I bent it back and it booted whilst I was explaiing that I was having teething trouble with his new ROM.
HAHA
Thanks VERY much to all for ideas and fast feedback - really thought I done it in then! Bloody hell Id have had to give him mine!!!
OH NOOOOOOOOOOO!!
@ the try some Koent line......OH GOD LOLOLOL
Waht with the relief of fixing the device and a joke like that, I was ROFL ing it - Not RALPH ing it...
Thanks again all
Yarod, the above advice for the radio version applies only to the custom rom.
By flashing a factory rom from the memory card you have probably overwritten hspl which is why this dosen't boot.
First thing to do is reflash hspl in the bootloader, via usb. If you remove your memory card and hard reset, then you should get a working phone. Assuming it's a vodafone branded handset you can use a vodafone branded rom without the need for hspl - there's a 1.66 version up on the uk site.
If you want a custom rom, use hspl and check the radio requirements before flashing
and most importantly flash via the usb only to avoid overwriting hspl.
hth,
mike
hah! bent pin, nice one. Bet you felt a huuuge wave of relief wash over ya when it booted eh? Gotta love that post adrenaline comedown.
here we go again with another victim....
1. Hard reset
a. turn off your HD2
b. hold Volume up and down and press end button till it will vibrate show white screen that you wanna hard reset
c. release volume up and down
d. press volume up for continue Hard reset
e. press volume up for continue boot up
it will boot up your device...
2. install radio for energy click here or herefor download
3. Use Customs RUU from here
4. flash your radio
5. now you are good to go....
i hope this helps i know how you feel cause i had same problem and this phone worth a lot so... take care...

Hey! I did the same mistace, u need to download HSPLv2 , Install 2.06.0000
Then volume down + power botton, install stock ROM from HTC.com, and reboot.
That worked for me, hope it works for you.
Cheers.

[Q] stuck on NRG boot screen and cycling

stock tmous hd2
flashed .12 radio rom
formatted sd card
installed energy 21683 sense 2.5 cookie (not the 2.0 version)
ran fine.
copied mdeejay v2.3 evosense revolution as follows to root on SD card
- android\(lots of files
- data_512\img
- data_1024\img
inserted sd card, powered up, file commander, ran clrcad.exe, then haret.exe
got to htc boot screen. took what felt like longer than it should. pulled the battery (doh!)
reinserted battery and phone was unresponsive.
tried to do hard reset, nothing
plug in usb cable and now phone boots to NRG boot screen shows R,G,D text at bottom, shuts down and then restarts the cycle. It never moves past boot screen and keeps cycling.
W/ usb cable plugged in I was able to do hard reset. didn't help.
W/ usb cable plugged in I was able to get to boot loader screen, ran NRG installer.exe and reinstalled NRG. (installer seemed to think everything went fine) still didn't help.
So my phone is now stuck, won't power on w/o usb cable and when I plug in usb cable, it cycles between boot screen and off.

Have you tried taking out your SD-card, then doing a hard reset?
Have you tried backing up the things you created (don't worry about things that other programs like Android created) on your SD-card, then reformatting it? Then restoring the stuff you backed up, and re-doing the Android install?
thanks for response.
hard reset w/ sd card in and out. no difference.
formatted sd card.
can reinstall android files on it but seems pointless since i can't get to winmo to run them. can't get past winmo boot screen.
thinking i should try going to bootloader screen then reflash stock tmous rom? if that works can always come back the other way? thoughts?

You could run a Task29 -- a utility that clears your ROM and flashes a "blank" ROM. This is one of the remedies for unusual behavior. After Task29, reflash your custom ROM.
Otherwise, yes, you could try reflashing a stock ROM. If that still fails, then I would call this a brick/"hardware issue".
Good luck!
yep. it's bricked. unless anyone else has better idea.
task29 back to NRG didn't work
flash to stock rom downloaded from Tmo website didn't work either. (now it dies at the tmo pink stick together screen just after showing the R,G,B text. and begins the cycle.)
this is so sad. I need to figure out what i did otherwise not likely to pick up another hd2. figured it was cheaper way to get decent hardware (save 100$ or more right now on craigslist over galaxyS.) and have option to play w/ winphone7.
does android normally take a long time to boot on first try? if i wasn't after the apps and google integration, i might have been happy w/ nrg rom. it looked sharp and seemed to run quick for the little time i played w/ it.
sucks i gave my wife my galaxy s (w/o a dataplan on her line) so she could have nice phone for texting/pics/vid/facebook etc while at home through wifi. now i've got to renig on that gift or get her to trust me w/ another phone!!!
just sucks all the way around. darnit!

Here's another idea (this actually happened to someone before):
Look at the battery contacts (the pins) shooting out of the phone when the battery is not inserted. Are they bent in any way? If they are, bend them gently back into place so that they are completely straight. The pins are delicate, and since you took off your battery, there's a possibility you accidentally bent them. This would lead to random shut-downs/resets.
It might be crazy enough to be the problem you have...
But you know, you could get the HD2 replaced for free, as long as you are under T-Mo's 1-yr warranty -- claim a hardware defect that couldn't be solved by the upgrade ROM. At least it's free!
Hallellujah!!! Stupid pins on the battery!!!!! THIS SHOULD BE a footnote for the newbies in the flashing sticky!
Thanks for the awesome advice!!!! I'm so glad that was the problem.

hi MATE,
The main problem is in Android folder
i'd suggest you to get the Build that asks you to copy n paste all files of Android folder to ur SD Root, that way u'll have all files on ur sd card.
2nd now wen ever you want to boot ur android of WWE all you got to do is DELETE ANDROID folder thats located on ur SD card, I had same issue as you because i test roms and i love messing with them.
3rd: You dont need to hard reset or soft reset if you needed to reboot ur Android (once its running) all you need is hold Power off button u'll get the reboot option as u select the reboot it will show you few rebot options there you gotta choose HOT Reboot that will restart the ANDROID only and that way you u can save ur self from going thur long painful process and yet stay in android os.
PS: i am currently testing the build that asks where i have all file inside ANDROID files and image @ my SD Root, i have same issue with this one but lets see if we could figure out the real culprit.
Hope this help, Feel free to share your experiences

The OP's problem was that he took out his battery while Android was loading, and when he put back the battery, his phone could not boot into WM.
I guess my last thought was correct -- the battery pins were accidentally bent while the OP took out the battery.

[Q] Help!

Hey guys,
Sorry to be a burden but I'm having a few issues with my hd2, and being a noob I didn't really know where to turn except this forum.
Basically my dad bought the hd2 from the UAE early this year and it all worked fine on stock settings for about 6 months. In the last few months, however, the phone started to lock up, and it got to the point where it wouldn't even boot properly.
In an effort to fix the problem I went with a hard factory restore, however, this seems to have caused more problems as now the phone is stuck in the bootloader.
I've been searching for hours, and have come to the conclusion that I need to update the flash? and then possibly install a new rom on the phone?
My major issue in doing this though, is that I can't seem to connect to activesync while the phone is in the bootloader.
Please help me sort this out.
First of all lets make sure that your trying perform the hard reset correctly.......
You need to hold down both volume buttons whilst the phone is turned off..... Then tap the power button and keep the buttons held down.......
Release them when you see the confirmation screen.........
Powering on while holding only the vol down button will take you to bootloader....
If you need to reflash the device then have a read of this thread here....
If its a "Tmous" HD2 (green and red call/hangup buttons) then you need to read this one
When connecting to the pc in bootloader you should see the word "serial" at the bottom of the screen change to "USB".......
Might be worth checking the text on you bootloader screen for any irregular looking characters, there have a few cases of people with corrupt bootloaders, usually these will display odd looking characters at the top. This is quite rare though.
If you want to flash another stock rom then you wont need to worry about HSPL just download the appropriate ROM and follow the instructions on screen.
Start off at the HTC site and input your serial number to see which ROM is suitable for your device.....
If none of that helps then hold out for some advice here from someone with better knowledge of these things.....
Ok well I've just tried to do the hard reset in the way you've described and had no response from the phone. I had to remove the battery from the back to actually power down the thing as nothing else seemed to work. I can't actually seem to start it up again now =S
Thanks for all the info, I'll keep trying to get it started. I'm downloading the stock rom from the htc site. Hopefully I will find a way to install that.
Also, when the bootloader was up, there weren't any odd characters that I could see. It all seemed pretty standard. It had the current rom driver which was 1.42 or something and a few other lines of info.
Thanks for the post.
edit: perhaps the battery is dead?
No problem.
Is it charging when plugged in and turned off?
If so let it charge while turned off for a while and then try to boot........
If you cant get to bootloader and establish a USB connection then you could try flashing the ROM from the SD card.
rename the rom to "LEOIMG.nbh" place it on the root of a freshly formatted (fat32) sd card and turn on the phone holding vol down..

To be honest I have no idea if it is charging whilst turned off =S All I get is the bootloader when it decided to turn on and that gives no indication of power level so I really have no idea. It makes updating a rom pretty scary haha.
So I just attempted to install the default rom from teh htc site, but failed due to the lack of activesync. It was strange though because the updater managed to change the screen on the phone and get to 1%. It then crashed and I had to go through this recovery process.
I will have to try this SD card process I guess. Could you perhaps link me to a more in depth guide to how to do this?
Thanks a lot for your help I really appreciate it.
you should get a red light up near the earpiece to indicate that its charging........
try this video for flashing from sd card......
I am not getting a red light flashing? But it doesn't seem to be running out of charge. I'm still having lots of trouble
It would seem that I need to install this hspl before I do anything, however, I can't install that if I can only access the bootloader screen. Does this mean my phone is bricked?
I want to be able to set up a rom straight from SD, however, I have no idea where to start. That video just seems to send me in a big loop.
Perhaps you could link me to a simple rom that I can attempt to load via sd card?
edit:
I seem to have somehow fluked an install of HSPL 8G XE.
I have no idea how this happened or whether it is good or bad.. but at least something has happened.
Hmmm
installing hspl is covered here
as long as the word "serial" is changing to "USB" on the bootloader screen when you connect to the computer you should be ok.......
You dont need HSPL to flash via sd card but I think that video was directed more towards people installing cooked ROMS from XDA.
Installing a stock rom will automatically overwrite HSPL so unless your planning to flash a custom ROM then installing HSPL is pointless........
You might be better off installing a cooked rom. (Artemis, Dutty's)
They tend to run better than stock, if you get one running then it will be easier to get back to a stock rom (if you want to) than the situation your in now.....
This is from the flashing guide;
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
NOTE (PLEASE READ): If you flash a Stock Rom via microSD Card then it will overwrite your HardSPL with a stock SPL included in the nbh file. This does not apply to custom roms as they do not include an SPL. BE CAREFUL!!
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.
Reckon you could link me to one of those roms? I think we're getting pretty close now.
Your help has been great I can't thank you enough.
Your welcome
You can find Dutty's ROM here
or the Artemis ROM here
Have a quick read and see which one you think you'll prefer, to be honest I think they're both pretty similar to stock but with a lot of the crap taken out....
Just follow the steps in the first link I posted and you should be good to go.
Ok new problems.. Can you believe it.
I seem to have tried everything.
Basically I can install of a sd card, but when it gets to the end of the install and I restart instead of booting into a OS it boots to the tri colour screen, and starts the install process again.
Also, I have attempted to install via usb and have had varying success.
As I have already said, I am able to install hspl, however, when I try to flash I get to varying percentages below 30% before the whole thing freezes.
I now have an error that says Upgrade Rom code error Please Try Again.
Sorry i dont mean to hijack ! but will any of you be kind enough to help me here..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=879980
thanks !
Ok so I followed the steps and still to no avail.
I am able to boot using the sd card method, however, the same problem occurs with each rom version. Basically as soon as I reset the device it pretty much switches itself off, then I can't turn it back on, once I finally do turn it on, it restarts the process like it never happened.
The other issue is again the active sync problem.
With most of the the usb connections I am able to connect and get a little way through the install (most I've got is 15%) then it just freezes up and I get the 262 error
Your best bet is to try flashing with a freshly formatted (FAT32) 4gb, class 2 card.
I know, sounds pretty specific right?
You wouldn't think it would matter?
I have tried flashing with 16 gb class 2, failed at the radio step
Tried with a 8 gb class 6, failed at the radio
4 gb, class 2, flashed successfully.
Seems our HD2's are picky about what cards they'll take a ROM from for some reason.
Alright I'll try that, my next issue is which is the stock rom for the phone =S
It was bought in the UAE and I'm currently in Australia.
edit: Also I read somewhere that the constant bootloader screen can be caused by a bent battery pin?
Edit2: I have attempted to do that, however, now the bootloader will accept the card, then just sit on loading...
I'm pretty sure this thing is bricked.

I've heard of bent battery pins being a pretty common problem, causing usually just the phone not to charge properly. I've personally never heard of it causing constant bootloader, but it's definitely worth checking.
It's weird that it's such a common problem, my usb/charging port is broken, so I have to use an external charger. I change my battery on average twice every 24 hrs, and I've never bent a pin
Ok, new info, apparently because the device is for the middle east it does not support stock 3.14 roms. What does this mean for me? Am I bricked.

That's the post I found the info in. All of that info matches up to mine except my original image was 3.142 I think =S
Firstly, your phone is not bricked - a bricked phone is responsive as a brick.
Can we start from the begining?
What does the Bootloader Moder screen say (with and without the USB cable connected)?
What ROM (and if custom ROM, what RADIO) have you flashed and are trying to flash?

Alright from the beginning.
Basically about a month into using the phone in Australia it became very unresponsive to the point where it would not boot at all. We left the phone for a couple of months, however, after seeing a friend rom android I decided maybe it was time to attempt to fix this phone.
Some more info:
When I attempt to do any sort of ROM update there is nothing in the 'current image' part so for example it will say update to Dutty 3.6 but it's updating from nothing, does this mean there's no firmware there?
In the bootloader I have:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MICROP(LED) 0X05
MICROP(TOUCH) 0X40
Without USB cable in I get Serial in the white part down the bottom, with the USB cable in + plugged into computer I get USB.
Just to further clarify. In regards to the ROM I have installed. I simply don't have anything installed. There is a bootloader, no image, no bootup. It boots up to the tri colour, that's it.
For a moment we will forget about going to 3.14 ROM: I don't know if that phone is entitled to an official upgrade to 3.14, if it is locked to a particular network, if it is branded, etc. If it is not entitled to a 3.14 ROM upgrade then you will have to go through GoldCarding, so we will leave it for now.
Make sure that the battery has had a good couple of hours charge in the charger or double that if connected to the computer.
Remove SIM Card and SD Card.
Switch on to Bootloader Mode, then connect to USB.
Download and run HSPL2 - ignore the instruction about connecting to ActiveSync etc, just proceed.
Download and install the HTC 1.66 WWE ROM - again, ignore the instructions, just proceed.
The reason for HSPL is because your phone may be operator locked (not SIM locked) and you aren't entitled to run the 1.66 WWE ROM.

About to destroy my HD2 (Need help)

This phone has been giving me hell for a really long time.
In short; it don't work. It will flash but will never boot right.
When I got my HD2 it had the stock WinMo 6.5.3 ROM that worked perfectly. I played with booting Android off my flash drive but got the fast audio problem. So I flashed ChuckyDroidROM, and used that for a month with some different Android builds, all worked fairly well.
But then one day, it started crashing after a while of use. Sometimes it would just not let me unlock it, and other times it completely crashes and restarts. Every time it happened earlier and earlier after booting.
So I tried Task29 and putting the stock ROM back on it, no go. It crashes right after it boots.
Now I've flashed HSPL 2.08.HSPL, Radio 2.15.50.14, and MAGLDR 1.12. I'm trying to flash WP7 to it, but since the MAGLDR menu doesn't show up, I can't flash anything.
It boots into MAGLDR, but just shows "aMAGLDR V1.12, Build: 12 2011 XX:XX:XX, by Cotulla 2011" but nothing else. The menu doesn't show up, but it did once....
Any ideas? I'm desperate. I'm about to blow it up....
EDIT: Now it won't even f**king turn on!!!! And yes the battery is FULL
I'm having an issue with my HD2 also (even though I've flashed it successfully several times) so this sounds like a very, very isolated issue. The problem I'm having - disabled phone functions in WP7 - also appears to be an isolated issue. Sometimes these things can be the result of a bad flash. Give this thread a week. You're in the right place.

When your rebooting and the splash screen shows up are you holding down the power button to gain access to magldr options?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Did you took out your SD card? If no, take it out, try turn it on. If you can reach the boot (means the multicolors menu) than your good to flash.
I have the feeling that might be because of damaged SD card (similar issue I had). Hope that helps.
Good luck!

Yes I am. It showed up today, and I was able to flash WP7 to the device, but now it will not boot into WP. It freezes at MAGLDR, no options.

I can flash anything I want, it just never boots, or it boots and then crashes immediately. I have tried with and without my SD card/SIM card.
Wow it seems as if your doing every thing right. My suggestion is, Re-flash the stock Rom that came with the phone, Revert back to the original radio and spl. Call your sevice provider for a replacment phone as it sounds like its defective. Thats what i would do.

Go into Bootloader Flash a Stock Rom.
Then Update the Radio
Format SD -.- but backup your Data
and try to reflash MAGLDR
After that try to reflash Wp7 it should work
New developement:
It won't turn on, period. Nothing.
The power button does nothing, the reset button does nothing, nothing works.
The battery is at 4.1V, it's rated at 3.7V, would that cause the phone to not turn on?
Maybe a hardware failure.
Any warranty?
This happens when the phone over heats dont turn it for a while and dont have it conect it to the computer or anything when u try turn it on.

[Q] Semi-Brick? Full-Brick? Help pls!

Hello XDA.
Huge problem over here.
I can't flash anything on my device (HD2, Europe) anymore.
Newest Radio-Rom, SPL-2.08.HSPL.
Tried everything listed in the forums, event tried to flash stock leoimg.nbh from sd. nothing.
Whenever I try to flash via USB, the screen is stuck at 0 % (independent from what I try to flash).
HSPL won't let me reflash it, get an error msg.
When flashing from sd, stuck at "loading..."
Hardreset (VolUp+VolDown+Power) works, but doesn't change anything.
I really tried E-VERY-THING, nothing seems to work.
Bootloader is starting up, even the white screen with the green HTC logo is showing up, but then: nothing.
Worked my ass of through hundreds of threads in dozens of forums.
This is my last chance.
Anybody? Thank you!

If you've tried literally everything as you claim, then nobody can possibly help you. Have you tried flashing a stock ROM via the SD card?

are you 100% sure its 2.08.hspl and not 2.08.0000?
also, tried different usb ports? different PC even, if possible? (not 64 bit either, if you can manage it, , , an xp machine is perfect)
Probarly your phone is bricked yes.
You say you tried everything and nothing worked, then i think there is no option left. Maybe put it in the fridge or something for like 10 minutes?
To all:
I'm sure, its hspl 2.08, pic of bootloader on its way.
I tried Stock ROM from sd. Stock oben AND provider one.
Tried 2 different PCs. Will try XP 32bit when possible.
Please tell mehr, that here's a german Euthanasie a jtag device... or pleeeeease name another option...
Thanks...
Oh my god, Not "Euthanasie" i'm so sorry...

... recently I tried to flash a whole new ROM. RadioROM was ok.Task29 went good, MAGLDR had problems. First time stuck at 4 % (Connection Error 262 (?)), second time at 96 % (also connection error), third time I held the data cable in the port, not too strong, but it worked this time. MAGLDR booted, but didn't show any options, just the header. So i did another Task29. From this time on, nothing worked anymore. :/
Anyone?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Also trying another sd-card atm, doesn't seem to work...
Sorry for double-posting,
but i was able to re-flash radiorom via sd. maybe this helps.

This is the most stupid bit of dangerous "advice" I've ever heard. Not only is a phone not "bricked" as long as the bootloader is working, but more importantly, "put it in a fridge" has never done anything good. It's an urban legend. If you feel like it you can try it on a broken harddisk right before getting out the black candles and the chicken blood, but it's completely useless.

Have you tried a different USB cable? Everything points to the connection, maybe your phone's USB port is shot.
Wouldn't this have been solved when flashing over sd-card?
RadioROM worked this way, whole stock package does not.
Tried different usb cables, different pcs. and different stock roms over sd.
so chances are good it's not bricked, if the bootloader works? I mean, it even boots to the green htc logo on white bg....
thanks
EDIT: Also, usb-port worked fine before flashing, it also works now, bootloader recognizes "USB".
EDIT2:
MTTY changed nothing. Task29 was succesfull (it seems), tried task 2a (that should format the WHOLE thing, like i unterstood) and 28, too, seemed succesfull, too, but my problem remains.
and why the hell can i flash a radio from sd but not a full stock rom? sd card is formatted in fat32 and 2 gig sized... tried all official roms...
and hspl still throws this error....
EDIT3:
Set up a VM with Win XP 32 bit. HSPL doesn't throw an error now, but it seems to take forever to install. Almost 10 Minutes and counting.
is this normal?
Didn't work.
Dont know what else to try, if nobody answers...
Think about sending it in to get JTAGed (Bootloader rewritten...)

Why? I've seen it working. A friend bought a broken HD2, the seller said he couldn't flash anything and he had problems with camera and games before. So after dozens of tries, he put it into the fridge for half an hour and managed to flash magldr and a new rom. Well, the motherboard was faulty and he couldn't do almost anything because the phone suffered constant freezes and restarts when doing anything else than looking at the homescreen, but well, the fridge helped him a bit.
USB Port on the phone, USB Port on the computer, USB Cable, Drivers in the computer, Firewall or similar host security software on the computer - these are some of the things I'd double-check.
But a ROM in nbh format should still flash from SD- what exactly happens, does it not find it or not complete the flash? Does it throw any error code?
And did you see any bad blocks while on mtty?

No bad blocks, will check it again.
As said, USB-Port on phone seems ok to me, used 2 different drivers on 2 different pcs with 2 different data cables and 2 different OS. Firewall and Antivir disabled.
When flashing from SD leoimg.nbh seems to be found but it gets stuck at the grey screen with the blue "loading...". forever. no error code, not even an option to confirm or cancel the flash. cancelling the loading process with voldown failed. tried three different sd cards and all official stockroms that could possibly come in question for my phone.
But why was I able to flash the latest radiorom again?

Beats me. How long it you wait for the full ROM to flash though? I know you have tried a bunch, and am sure you would have waited long enough, but asking just in case. It might take as much as 10 minutes or more.
But ya, at the moment JTAG seems to be your best bet.
waited for almost 1,5 h now for an sd flash...
jtag seems more and more acceptable...
If tag is available, go for it.
There are a few variants of this problem, that I think of under the umbrella name of "stuck radio"
Usually its the radio that gets stuck, but sometimes the spl gets stuck too, or sometimes just the spl. Either way, some types of flash work whilst others don't (radio works hspl doesn't for example, or custom roms flash stock rooms dont ), or a flash seem to work but nothing changes, (hspl gives hacked it but spl doesn't change,or the flash hangs...
My guess is two causes, some being corruption of the software, some actual hardware...bad blocks at a critical area of memory perhaps.
There are one or two success threads with this family of problem, but hundreds with no successful outcome. Sometimes just flashing the oldest correct rom from SD does it, sometimes freezer trick works, (not an urban myth), sometimes just trying again and again works. Often though, nothing does, so if jtag is an easy option I'd take it.
Be warned though, it could be hardware, in which case it may not work.

Looks like we have a winner ....
You said "flashing a Radio was OK" .. so we shouldn't be having a problem there. Also, a task29 went good, too.
You started having those problems during MAGLDR, but after you held the cable, everything went fine.
So in other words, during attempt 1 & 2 of MAGLDR flashing, you pulled the cable.
I know that pulling the cable midst a radio flash will 99% cause a brick.
Same with ROM with a Radio (but less chance).
But MAGLDR, I don't really know, maybe sam will help ?
