Hi,
I'm have problem with using my HD2 running android (darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5) with my car's bluetooth system (Opel Antara). I can get them paired but that's as far as it goes. When I try to make a call, connection momentarily is made and then it disconnects. Android does not give any error message and car simply says "disconnected".
Now, it cannot be a hardware issue as in WM 6.5 on the same device I have no problem with car's bluetooth.
I use andriod all the time and this is the only issue stopping me from moving to a NAND version. Any suggestions, or ideas to resolve the problem?

thanks or all informations
I am running the Unofficial SuperRam and have a similar problem - i can get the phone and car kit to pair and connect initially but if i turn the car off and wait till the car kit disconnects, then turn it back on again, the phone stays paired but does not reconnect. I have to unpair them and repair them every time to get them to connect. I was running Darkstone SuperRam previously and never had a problem.
The car kit is a Nokia CK-100

i've a new seat leon with built in bluetooth hands-free phone system and the qtek 9100.
the device pairs without any problem with the car, but automatically disconnect after a minute.
is there any way to stay connected or any patch?
thanks for help,

i have the same problem.
i used to have dutty v1 rom on my hermes and was working fine
today I installed dutty v2 rom and the problem started.
I dont know if the problem is the rom, I'll check it out with another phone and let you know.
Same problem here.
Just picked up a Seat Altea XL with what I trust to be the same Bluetooth system. My HTC TyTN (the model sometimes called Hermes or Qtek 9600) gladly pairs to the car, I get the phone book etc., but after a while I get a sound and the display goes "Please insert phone". A minutes sounds about right, perhaps even sooner.
It will connect after a few minutes, but then disconnect again.
My wife's Nokia 6021 connects beautifully.
How does one check the HTC's version - and where to get other ROM versions?
hi.. i hve a skoda, octavia 2, it has factory installed bluetooth car kit, i can easily connect my Herms , but it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every few minutes, I tried to upgared to WM6 and its same, I cange my bluetooth control unit at Skoda , and its same. the car kit works fine on any other phones like Nokia or SE. the problem is only with HTC devices. any idea ?
not a single reply !!!
This is a common problem with the TyTn, there are plenty of other threads here with exactly the same problem. I have a Parrot C3000 Evolution car kit and am using a LVSW WM6 ROM (see sig) which works most of the time (better than other ROMs in my experience) - although I experience the following all the time;
Bluetooth turns itself off (on the TyTn)
Bluetooth is on, but the phone won't connect to the car kit
Connection to the car kit gets lost after making a call
Connection to the car kit gets lost when dialling a number
In most cases going to connection manager and turning bluetooth off then on usually works, sometimes (rarely) I have to soft reset the phone and once in a while I have to soft reset the phone and the car(!). When it does all connect it works very well, I also use MS Voice Command and with the various fixes applied I get announcements, voice dialing etc. all working perfectly.
My problems with bluetooth are limited to the car kit though, I also have a TomTom bluetooth GPS dongle which works perfect all the time.
thanks forza
thanks a lot, at least I don't feel lonley with my problem.
i found this, which works great with my car kit.
www.jetwaremobile.com it costs, but there is a 30 day trial to see if it will work with your car kit.

I have found that my 3200LS Color works great as long as I have unlocked my phone BEFORE turning ignition on. Have you updated your Parot firmware to latest version?

Firmware is the latest version for my device, but will try unlocking as you suggest and see how that goes, thanks for the tip.

Hey Folks!
Great work here... Coming from WM/Symbian/Blackberry I'll try Android for daily use now.
My actual only problem is, that my Hero won't reconnect with the bluetooth System MMI of my Audi A6. Pairing is fine, manually connecting works, but I found no way to automatically reconnect the Hero with MMI when I enter the car and turn on the ignition/engine.
Every other handset does this comfortable reconnect (Nokia E71, Blackberry Curve 8900, Palm Treo 750...).
Is this a problem of my Hero or of Android itself? Is there a workaround to solve the problem to get an automatic reconnect?
Thanx!
Tom
Maybe the problem with the Hero. I cannot connect the Hero to my BMW I-Drive at all.
My G1 connected to my alpine stereo fine, when it did a small microphone appeared on the stereo along with the bluetooth icon. The hero pairs, the bluetooth appears and the phonebook is browsable, however it doesnt display the mic icon on the stereo. I think this means it's not using the stereo to pick up voice. I need to test more.
It would appear that there is something different about the bluetooth stack on the hero. Which is worrying with it being a hybrid android build
There is definitely something different. My old G1 pairs and works flawlessly with my BMW I-drive. The Hero pairs but won't connect.
Works with my Audi A4 2009. Autoconnects, I can browse my contacts etc...

That's positive. Are your contacts on your SIM or straight from a Google account? Do you have the latest MMI?
I'm about to take delivery of an A6 with HDD 3G MMI with bluetooth and wondering what to expect.
I have some issues on Skoda Octavia as well. As Skoda/Audi/VW have some things in common, I thought to mention this.
Usually my Hero works fine, but maybe 33% of the times I cannot initiate a call from car bluetooth. It starts to make a call, but fails, on Hero I get some MMI error (have to write that down the next time I get it).
When the error occurs, I can still start a call from Hero and phone audio comes nicely through car bluetooth and stereo. It requires me to turn off the engine and turn it back on to get it working again, however, sometimes it will also start working by itself. Might be that if I initiate a call from phone, it will start working from car controls as well, but I cannot confirm that.
Ik works fine on my 2006 A4 MMI, and I did test it on my new A4 2009 Model coming in december.
No issues, both show contacts and auto connect.
Did you set the MMI device as "trusted"?
Automatic connection works fine with my Audi A6 4f MMI!
After a few seconds I have access to all Contacts through MMI.
No Problems at all..
Cheers, Otze
I just have a Motorola bluetooth/FM transmitter. It's not perfect, but what I have to do is turn the Hero's bluetooth on *AFTER* the Motorola unit is initialized. So maybe enter your car with the Hero's bluetooth off, turn on the car, then once the stereo's booted up, turn on the Hero's bluetooth.
It's a bit inconvenient, but it works for me.
Also, I suspect that when we get the Eclair update, our bluetooth will work better, as Eclair is said to finally include a bluetooth API (which has been missing from previous versions, as Google said they wanted to polish it up before releasing it to developers.)
Anybody experienced the Bluetooth issue w/ Pdaimatejam's ROM? My Bluetooth could be switched on and stable. But it always shows "Searching..." and cannot find any Bluetooth device. I cannot find HD2 from other Bluetooth device either.
Please advise!
mine works sweetly
ermm... a) make sure the other phones bluetooth is set to be Discoverable
and b) so a soft reset )
Emm...
After performing some further testing, I found it can pair with my laptop, but still cannot connect to my car. Seems like the Bluetooth in that ROM is not compatiable with my car.

Finally I have to roll back to HD2O's 1.22. That ROM's bluetooth module works perfect.
in my case, I only get paired when I also put wifi on after that I cult put it off again
but It can not connect Automaticly you have to put it off wait 30s
put it on and after 30s they a connected and stays stable with out wifi
thats in V2 with original soft radio
I was running the very first Nexus 5 port made by boykioy and I flashed the ROM with no issues at all and without having to flash a new radio or kernel. When the KOT49H update came out by the same person I flashed it and my phone went into a loop where I realized that I had to flash a new radio in order for the update to function. The radio I had flashed was the stock radio provided on a blog by the same person that created the ports. The name of the radio is the v.98 KOT49H stock radio. If you have ever used Bluetooth in your car or for an external speaker you might have realized that once you pair your device it remains paired and will connect automatically when Bluetooth is enabled and the speaker/car is on. This was the case for me until I flashed the new radio. Now when I first pair my device to my car stereo or any Bluetooth speaker it will pair and play perfectly fine. Even when I turn the car/speaker off and turn it back on it will automatically reconnect and play perfect. The issue comes when I turn off Bluetooth on my phone or turn my phone off and on again; the devices won't connect again and when I manually connect them the sound will glitch about every 10 seconds. But as soon as I unpair and delete the info ok my phone and re-pair it works perfect. If anyone has any solutions or ideas I'd be more than willing to try them. I couldn't attach a link to the blog but it's real simple: nexus4(period)techxeroblog(period)com
