Att U-verse - Focus General

Was not sure where I should post this, but maybe someone can chime in with assistance. I am having an issue when logging into ATT U-verse via the app. I keep getting the message Error "your phone cannot access u-verse mobile [A2000]. please check your connection settings and try again. has anyone else had this issue?

At times i think the intialization between your phone and uverse is just fudged. Just sign out of the uverse app and try again. sometimes you just need to soft reset your phone. Also, if you are in an area with poor reception this will affect this error code too.

EVDO PPP Connection Error

I upgraded to the new DCD Beta 2.0 and when I try to connect to the mobile internet I get an error stating it cannot connect for an unknown reason. It also states Error Code: 11 - PPP Connection Error.
I am on Verizon and dialing #777, this still happens when I manually enter my username (ph#@vzw3g.com) and vzw password. I've tried a hard reset, but still the same issue.
Any ideas or does it look like a call to Verizon?
Ok, So I called Verizon and talked to the for a long time. They think it's a bad phone and I should try and get a warranty replacement.
I'm pretty sure there has to be a setting in the rom that I can change from when I originally had the Sprint ROM on there.
Any ideas?
I have Verizon also. I pay as you go so I normally do not connect with the data connection. So I put in your settings and had no problem connecting or surfing the web. I am also running the new rom. Hope this helps.
I think my main problem is that I installed the Sprint 3.16 "unofficial" rom onto my phone. When I went back to the Verizon rom I had to manually load a PRL to get back on the Verizon towers. Now I need to figure out what else to change to get Data Back.
Data/MMS OTA download resolved
Good news I got it fixed. I had to call Verizon. It's a problem on their network, something to do with the way the account is provisioned. This is an issue that shows up for folks that don't have an unlimited data plan and are only setup for pay as you go. I wish I could give you more detail about what to say but as usual with tech support it depends on who you talk to. I would just keep calling back until I got to the right person.
Data Connection Resolved
I also had a similar problem on the VZW network. Tried many setting changes last weekend to no avail, I needed to get a new A-key so I downgraded to 1.6.10 because of the 3.27 radio issues. The Data connection still didn't work, so I called and got a new A-key, then once that was working, chased the Data connection with a different tech support group, they tried the usual resets and programming. Finally, the tech guy exhausted his list and pushed the problem to network support, an hour or so later the data connection was working again. Network support called later to check to see if my problem was resolved, which it was. He said they had to reset the local switch, something about a hung data session.
I've on Sprint, and I've been having problems getting my data working again with the new 3.16 ROM. I called tech support, and after verifying all the settings, they looked for outage reports.. and found a global Sprint vision provisioning issue currently logged. We'll see if things improve in a few hours..

Google Voice Setup on Mytouch 3G

Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I got my google invite and set up my google voice accordingly. I changed my call forwarding settings to "show number", but anytime I make a call, it says "could not connect to google" retry with google voice. Signing in. Can someone please help me!!!!
Do you have Wifi, or 3G enabled. I think that you need some way of connecting via Internet for it to work correctly.
Maybe reinstalling the app might help, can't hurt. Just going by your message it sounds like the data connection is the issue, are you sure you have coverage? Or fast enough coverage? Try to use it on a wifi network and see if it works.
As far as I know from mine U have to have 3G to make the call Edge wont work. If you are in a 3g area you should be good. Also if you are on a custom rom check the notes on that build. Hope this helps.

Social Network problems.

Hey, new here but i hear this is the best place to come for advice so i thought i would give it a shot.
I am getting several errors when trying to use the social networks on the HD2
Twitter
It lets me log in but hwne i update it says my account is forbidden to access the twitter server, but everthing is fine if i sign in using a browser :S
Facebook
comes up that my username or password is incorrect when i know for a fact it is not.
Youtube
Says "There was a connection error while attempting to login"
I have tried it on wifi, edge, 3g, hdpsa and nothing works. I am on o2 an have a unlimited usage contract. Please help.
Had these when I first got my phone. All was set right after a reset (pop the battery out or hold down hang-up button)
Also, probably be a good idea to make sure you are logged out of all of those accounts in any browsers before signing in on your phone?
Outside of that... not sure.
add this to it: Nimbuzz
I can't connect over gprs or 3g. I'm on vodafone NL and i have disabled proxies and even created an experimented with new accespoints, but no luck. O even looked up in the registry to see if there is something that can be changed. I can only connect trough wifi.
Is anybody experiencing the same? It might be as well that vodafone blocks nimbuzz, but can they do that? legaly i mean.

Trouble Connecting to AT&T EDGE on my Topaz

Hi! I am experiencing trouble connecting to AT&T EDGE on my unlocked Topaz. I purchased this phone aware of the fact that I wasn't going to have 3G available but not having EDGE as well is very disappointing.
I have an AT&T GoPhone account and I have also installed the recommended settings from the Connection Wizard that popped up when I had inserted my SIM Card. However, I constantly have a gray E icon on my status bar and I am unable to access the internet. When I test the internet connection by trying to update the weather I get the following error: "The answering modem disconnected. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings."
I have called AT&T they kept me waiting for an hour and were not able to help me. They were going to file a report for the tech support to review but they did not file the report that because I did not have another telephone number to give to them beside my cell phone for them to call me back(I am an international college student, I don't have a land line). I then tried to get help from their online chat support but their system won't allow me because my account is a GoPhone. So I am stuck here with my $450 dollar phone not able to enjoy its features to its full extent .
Is there anyone else that has experienced this problem? Or is there anyone that could help me configure the connection settings manually?
Thanks!

Check with your service provider that the edge service is enabled for your account. Then check you have paid for the correct plan (I don't know the procedure that applies to AT&T, but they may require all this).
If you have everything enabled/paid for then there is no technical reason why you should not be able to connect unless there is no service in your area!

pa49, thanks for your reply. I am sure that edge service is enabled for GoPhone accounts (not 3g though) and I am sure there is service in the area. If I am not wrong, the gray "E" icon on my status bar is telling me that there is edge available but that I am not able to connect to it.
I am just hoping that there is someone here that is using an unlocked HTC touch diamond2 in the united states that is able to access the internet via edge.

Go into Settings\Connections\Connections\Advanced and make sure both networks are set to MediaNet and take out the proxy server if there is one.

Ok. Make sure you have the correct settings. Then in Manage existing connections tap and hold the modem connection and delete the entry. Reset the phone and then input the settings again manually. Don't let the phone run the auto connection setup.

Unfortunately what you have suggested is not working also :S.
Maybe I have something wrong with my settings. Even though I have done a lot of searching in order to find the correct settings for an Unlocked Diamond2, I have not been able to find the settings specifically for an Unlocked Diamond2 with WM6.1/6.5. The settings I found were for previous versions of WM or were for another HTC model.

What radio are you running?
I hate to say it but I don't think your going to get it to work. And I'm sorry because its all my fault! See for the past 4 years I have been a DM for AT&T and one day I was braging to our "smartphone support team" about how with my 8925+WMWifi+PayGo account with the 19.95 unlimited data package I could brodcast 3g wifi speeds through out my entire house with no need to worry about being charged overages for the 5GB soft limit (simply because no "real" info is needed to create a paygo account you can just say your name is Jon Doe and the give you one)
Two days later I got an email that the prepaid unlimited internet service had been disscontinued forever :-(..... And much more security was added to the system....
Your best bet to get internet working on the device is to put your sim card in an old moto razor (this way your razr IMEI doesn't flag you as a "smartphone" ) dial 611 and subscribe to the highest data package you can which is like 200MB or something.
Then you can put your sim card back in the TD2 and you should be good to go... for 200Mb's that is.... then your SOL...
and again sorry... you know what they say "loose lips sink ships"
or if you have a credit card or bank account switch to Pick-Your-Plan its a lot cheaper minute wise in the long run and you can have unlimited data just make sure to give them a bogus IMEI to some crappy razr you can find in every household....
