Hi guys sorry if I write in the wrong section but I am new to the forum! I have a problem ... after recording a video with my Topaz camera...I notice that when i playing the video, audio and video are not synchronized! It may depend by what? It's a problem of the camera?
Thanx very much for the attention!
PS: Sorry for my bad english but i am italian and i can't speak english well
Have you played the video in a PC?
not yet...i'll try and i'll let you know!
Hey guys...i tried to play the recorded video on the pc and the problem persists...Audio and video are not synchronized! I tried to record in all formats: MPEG4, H.263 and H.264. In the last two, desynchronization not notice much ... in fact it is almost absent...the problem is that I wanted to use the MPEG4 format for better quality of the recorded movie...but is with this format that audio and video are desynchronized! How can i solve this problem? I haven't installed any program and I have noticed it since the first start of the device.
I have explored the registry to try to improve some settings but without success...i can't understand the reason of this problem! Nobody can help me????
hello , could someone please tell me the specific convertion settings for audio and video , so that the video plays normally on tattoo? tried to convert avi -> mp4 using h264 25 fps 128 bitrate , but the movie was all twitchy and unwatchable.. someone please help me.. just wanna watch movies on my phone, like all normal people
seems like i made it work so far , but i wanna know the best settings for encoding the video , so that i'll get the best quality that tattoo can afford , and not waste any memory on my sd

And not a word about how you did it?! „Thanks“ dude...
Hiya folks since all of us are using the X10, I thought I'd ask for some help.
Recently I converted a bunch of videos to MP4 using the H.264 & ACC audio codec. At first they seem to play without a glitch but after 15-20secs into it, the visual side will pause and the audio continues. So naturally, I feel, I'm encoding them with the wrong settings.
Does anyone have any pointers here? What works for you and keeps the video quality at the optimal quality without those annoying pauses?
Hi - I'm using Videora Android converter.... selected the HTC Magic device (there wasn't an x10 option!).. and H.264 480x320 768kbs stereo/128Kbps profile..
Works really well.. great quality and no jerkiness.
I use SUPER to convert my 1080p files. Heres my settings
H.264/AVC
AAC LC
848x480
29 FPS
1584kbps Video Bitrate
Hi Quality
44100
Stereo
128kbps Audio Bitrate
I've used Super and TMPGEnc to try to convert some Divx files to MP4. For some reason the audio is always out of sync on the converted video when I play it back on the X10. I can't figure it out. I'm using different resolutions with a bitrate of about 1500kbps and always sticking to AAC LC for the audio. Is anyone see the same problem or have a suggestion to fix?
I was curious if anyone knows how to change or if an app exists for the hd video to record other than 3gp??
You lost me on that post.
Do you mean record TO the phone or play OFF the phone. I don't know what 3gp is...
If you mean record, you can decrease video size in the camcorder settings.

OP is trying to ask if it is possible to record HD video in a format other than .3GP
It will be awesome if someone can mod the Vibrant to record HD Video in Divx/Xvid format or H264/MP4 format. Wishful thinking..
After the JI6 update, the camcorder will shoot and save the videos in the mp4 format.

Hey!
Is there a fix to record in .mp4 instead of .3gp for Android ROMS?
Oh god finely someone notice this.... i mean U
been asking for it like 2 weeks.... but no replys ...
I think the image quality is pretty good but the sounds its recording... its like a very cheap phone.....just [email protected]!
ow and the HD function is always a fine extra
Which build do you use? Im using MDJ Froyo with Sense, and i can record 5MP (Camera) and MP4 and HD (Camcorder) out of the box
see my sig..
when i select MP4 and then upload it to my pc ist say's 3GP
u sure u got real MP4 and real HD?
Uhm yes, youre right
I can select MPEG4 and HD, but:
- If i select HD (720p), the Cam-App closes without error message
- If i select "MPEG4" in options, i can find a .3gp in media folder
Ok, thats a problem, then im searching for a fix too!

Say it again
to bad....
the HD recording is not a big deal... WVGA is pretty good... but the sound is...
and the "5MP" is not real 5MP but 1600x1200....
Some developers must continue with improvements to the camera... cause the kernel and ROM itself is pretty stable i have now 2 days of MDJ's Revolution 1.4 and no problems at all just some apps that won't work, just like on other real android ROM's
Audio Problem isnt a .3gp problem...
.3gp is only a video file wrapper, just like mp4, the codec is the same (h264), so a mp4 will have the same bad sound quality
okay then... is there a better sound recording codec?
Or is that asking to much work for the developers?
EDIT: just did some re-search, with VLC.
The audio.
codec: samr
samplespeed: 8000hz
bits per sample: 16 @ 128kb/s (windows says 13kb/s)
Tje video.
codec: mp4v
sample rate:15fps to 30fps (varies from light and dark environment)
