[Q] small update available from T-mobile (not froyo..believe it might be the GPS fix)

hi guys,
just got an alert from t-mobile that an update is available...but i think it is just for the GPS fix....did you guys receive it??

done updating....notice the baseband version is not T959UVJI6 and build number shows ECLAIR.UVJI6

Thanks! Now I have Arizona Green Tea (with Ginseng, mind you) sprayed all over my monitor and keyboard. Not to mention it also went down my windpipe!

The bad news is the update breaks the Gallery for many of us. But man, my GPS that I never use works great!

I also do not read the forums much. Can anyone find me an actual changelog of this most recent update? Did it try and fix any of the GPS issues because mine still does not work unless I leave "use wireless networks" checked along with satellites.

This doesn't help us, the major problem for us is flashing a firmware into touch chip - we cannot do this. The current firmware won't allow to detect anything above buggy dual touch.

All we need is sources of the touch chip driver and rest devs like z will do.

And how do you think we can install the driver(s) with a locked bootloader?
If I am not mistaken, we just need the bootloader to be opened and we can install the drivers. Also, I think he said, somewhere in this forum, he has found the driver but then again, he can't test it as the bootloader is locked.

ye i called myself every hour till now, looked for it 3 times. my guess someone found it and threw away the simcard

yeah this seems to be the only alternative left.U did not activate mobile tracker i guess !!!!

yup mate that is the IMEI. File a complaint with the police. But mostly they just block it so that nobody can use it rather than trying to find it. Give it a try.

First of all, you should post questions in the Q&A forum.
Most of us use a application called Rom Manager, you can find it in the market. From this application you can flash roms from .zip files. If you want to know more about this app you can search the forums, web or youtube. Also don't forget to make a backup using rom manager before installing a rom
